  I don't know how much of bargain it is.. the only App I know of these is Little Snitch and lists it as $40 as the original price - on Little Snitches site it's $29.95 for a single license. Smashing magazine E-books claimed is $65 from SM direct is $44.99.

  It may be a bargain buying these things together if a few are of real interest but it bugs me enough to now be disinterested by the blatant inflation of the "savings" to be made.

    Thanks for taking the time to check the bundle.

    You said on Littlesnitch website it says the price is $29.95. That's not true. The price on Littlesnitch website is in Euros not in dollars. So if you do a little calculation here the original price will be $40 OR € 29.95.

    As for SmashingMagazine ebooks, the price is $65 since we are offering the 9 ebooks plus the Creative Set for eBook Design. If you go check back the price of each ebook and the Creative Set for eBook Design you will find the total is $65 not $44.

    I would really appreciate it if you don't underestimate the value of the bundle without checking carefully.

      I don't mean to get into an argument. It's just this site is about bargains - finding and evaluating them, and that's what I was doing.

      I didn't neg your post. I just expressed my perception of its value. In all fairness the value of any bundle is in actually getting items you are likely to use at a price better then you would independently. In this case I was after Little Snitch and not much else interested me - I did look and there are savings to be had I'm sure.

      An Ozbargainer wouldn't necessarily compare any price against the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of an item rather "how much better is this to the next cheapest offer I can find". I know enough about marketing to know that you want / need to express the greatest possible value in your product, but as a consumer it's up to me to measure it's true worth (to me).

      As a shopper I will try and compare 'apples to apples' so I tried to match the items to the equivalent available on the sites you linked to. Now this something in - each case - that was quite tricky for some reason as very few times could I see the price you were quoting your savings against, so I hope you can see how I found the comparable price for the Smashing Magazine group buy.

      I did end up checking out quiet a few items .. For example the White Space icon set for is listed as only $65 in value on your site so I'm assuming it would actually be the $69 price Vector White Space Icon set? on the PixelPress site, not just the $29 PNG only White Space Icon set? It's not clear to me. And as a web designer their is a big difference between 60x60 pixels and vector (and $29 vs $69).

      And the reality is with something like the Themify.me deal - if I was to need 4 themes I wouldn't buy them independently for the $100 value you give - I'd sign up for their $89 1 year unlimited downloads.

      Now about Little Snitch. I must be confused by the pricing here? or my bank is - as your posting reminded me to buy the licence:

    The total value of the 12 items included in the bundle is around $1,107. Now we re offering the bundle for $50
    Let's calculate together :)

    Discount = (total value - bundle price)/total amount x 100
    Discount = ($1100-$50)/$1100 x100 = %95.45

    Actually that's over %95 :)
