Agreed and that would be my preference too. Might be a good deal for some though.
28 inches of 60hz TN colour shifting. I had a nightmare with those specs once.
Bad for TN, let alone 4k alternatives in the $270-$350 range.
You do have to be fair; an extra 1/3rd+ of its cost is quite significant.
But i stand by my 27" 1440p options are better for the majority, opinion :)

FWIW (and I'm not sure if it's there still or the same) I am very impressed with Kogans 32" 4K IPS. It has noticeably better colour reproduction and blacks than Acer X34 although I wouldn't game on it. At $350 it seemed like very good value.
4K is barely useable at this size without scaling of course.
I've got a 4k 15" laptop at work, now that's a solid meme without scaling 👌
Our media department had an 8k screen.
We warned them… "I use one at home" you own a mac. "It'll be fine". Ha. "can this be bigger?" Not in windows, nope.
At "only" 28 inch, the other "onlys" are quite major, since the majority of people would be more than satisfied with 1440p at that size.
However, to each their own!
