  • "Tell them the price son"

I would imagine that would depend where you bought it from…….

    • Best Price from Staticice is $69 from Umart and Computer Alliance. Centrecom in Victoria advertise it for $55 but that is deceitful because they are advertising the price with the Cashback offer from Netgear already counted. The real price you would pay Centrecom is $75.

    • Note that this is working on the 2.4Ghz band (not the 5Ghz band).

  • From $55 apparently, less $20 cashback, so ~$35 and up.

Officeworks have them for $129, so get a price match for an extra 5% off.

    • No, that's a dodgey price from Centrecom.

      • Your post wasn't there when I started my reply. And now I can't edit it.

        • Doesn't matter, I'm sure there are others that will go straight to Staticice and get caught by that naughty listing. There's enough info here now to make people aware.

      • $75 Before $20 Cash Card Redemption offer from Lenovo
  • I see this thing's got a ethernet port. Can it work as an access point as well as a repeater?

    • The ethernet port is for connecting a wired device, rather than the extended wifi

      • does that mean I can connect my TV to this using CAT5 instead of buying the proprietary wireless dongle for $120?

        • Yes and and I just tested it and works fine. Good thinking to avoid expensive dongles!

  • plus post all those prices. US$60 inc post from DealExtreme.
And theres a new similar device getting around for US$35 inc post on Ebay and Tiny Deal.

    • name or links please?

  • I just bought one on 28/11 - missed out on the $20 promotion… Gee I waited so long, and 3 days after I bought it, the price has come down and promotion is kicking in.. Bugger!

  • Is the Cashback applicable with purchases from DealExtreme?

    • There aren't any restrictions pertaining to specific retailers in the T&C. All that is required is an electronic copy of the receipt and a photo of the seriel number on the product itself.

  • One for the forums

  • Has anyone bought this yet? I've read a lot of mixed reviews about the Netgear wireless extenders so am keen to hear if people think it's worthwhile if the key issue is lack of range on an existing wireless network.
