  • is the USB available for this on Amazon?

    • Sorry, no. We have them on our site, but they are not often requested so no point putting them on Amazon. Most USB 3.0 extensions would fit in to the base and work.

  • Here is the review via YouTube.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gUyCwVBjus

    I got one, thanks OP.

  • Claimed this deal! was tracking this for a while. Thanks OP!

  • The system does not allow me to purchase two. Having said this, are you able to have a look into this?

    • Maximum is set at 10 units. Is it possible to check with Amazon?

      • I could only add one to the cart at this price well.

      • Might be due to how the lightning deal is set up.

      • Can only order one at promotional pricing and the rest at regular price.

      • Amazon saying:
Prajwali:Can only order one at promotional pricing and the rest at regular price.

  • I'm looking for dual monitor white colour ones and found this on the site, https://www.screenmounts.com.au/new-f195a-dual-screen-deskto…. Was wondering if there's any discount for this? Total up with GST is about 150+ :(

    • better off getting 2x single arms, more versatility

      • Oh never thought of it that way. Thanks for the great tip! :)

  • +2

I just ordered two and paid regular price for the 2nd one. Wasn't going to muck around to save $8.80 when I can be pouncing on other deals.

    • staying true to the ozbargain way…respect.

      • The only way to offset my sin of paying extra is to jump on other bargains and be better off overall.

    • I used ShopBack $5 cash back on the second one straight away price difference isn’t much at all. Plus then I won’t use the cash back on something else I don’t need haha

      • Same price on eBay so you could've gotten $10 ($5 + $5) cashback.

  • Hello ozbargainers and @ScreenMountsAU

I ordered already 2 monitors S2421HS and I want to make sure all my ducks are in order before pulling the trigger.

Ive read the recessed hole issue and this monitor definitely has a recessed hole. I tried speaking with Dell online support of which they claimed this monitor is not VESA compatible (lol?) and then recommended Dell monitor arms costing 250 and 450 AUD (lololol?)

I did find the specs sheet - link below:
    https://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_elect…

This one shows that the hole is exactly 120X120. Does that mean it could fit or it will be too tight?

Basically, I am asking can I order and expect it to work once the monitors and arms get delivered without problems?
Also can I order two units at this price and are the NB yellow stickers on the stand and arm removable?

    Thank you!

    • +1

I read that the stickers come off. Someone said you can get 2 on ebay.

As for the size issue, it's risky. Your link shows 122mm, slightly more than the 120mm of the plate of this arm. I think I'm just going to risk it.

      • Youre right. 122 :)
        maybe thats all we need

  • Ordered with Amazon 12% cashrewards.

  • If you want 2 with the same price, you can get 2 on ebay for 83.60, then use 15% shopback cashback to get it down to $71.06 ($35.53 each)

    • Im gonna sound like a total newbie.
      What is a shopback cahback?

  • Probably won't fit with S2721D but also have an angle grinder :) Worth the $9 saving over H80??? maybe

  • Just bought it but what is the actual meaning of "(Not suitable for RECESSED VESA Mounting points)" ?

    • +1

It means the mounting plate of the arm might not fit into the recessed cavity on the monitor.

      • Is that mean it won't fit most height adjustable monitor? Because they need the recessed cavity to secure the stand.

        Mine is height adjustable.

        • It's hard to say, if you provide the model of your monitor, we might be able to answer.

          • @John Kimble: Mine is a Dell U2412M which have VESA 100

            • @superforever: Yeah, so if you look at the 2nd photo on Amazon, you might have issues…they don't give measurements of the mounting plate.

              • +1

@John Kimble: Hi Guys, let me jump in here. The VESA plate for the F80 is 120 x 120. This will fit some models of recessed VESA mounts, but not all. Samsung are usually a problem and so are LG, but a lot of Dells are okay, so best check. If in doubt, go with ther H80 instead.

                • @ScreenMountsAu: By looking at the VESA plate photo of H80 and F80 they both needs a bit more space out of the screws located.

I am not sure why you said the F80 VESA plate is 120 x 120.

  • Does the newer version have more max height than the older F80? I have the older version and the desk to center of the VESA mount measures to be around 37-38cm whereas the link on Amazon shows 41.5cm

    • +2

Okay, I just took one out of the box and the maximum height to the center of the VESA mount is 415mm. They did revise this a while back so it is possible it changed.

      • Thanks for checking. I've been wishing for more height ever since I got a 27" Dell monitor so I can open up a 16" macbook under it without colliding with the screen. I might need to grab the H80 instead since that a max height of 550mm

  • Will this work for an LG 27GL850-B or should I go for the F100A?

The site says it's compliant for 100x100mm but I'm seeing comments saying it's 120x120mm and that it won't fit the LG.

    • The LG are not usually compatible with the current F80, however the H80 will fit fine and is a more economical solution than the F100A, even though the F100A is on special on our website. The F100A will fit well, and that might be a good choice if you have any thoughts of upgrading to a larger LG monitor in the future. My son did and the F100A was perfect for his 34" Gaming monitor.

  • Would this work for an ASUS PG279Q?
It says standard 100x100mm but I believe it's recessed a little so i'm not sure.

    Thanks!

    • That ASUS has a recessed VESA Mount, so you need to check the measurements of the recess where you remove the original stand.
The VESA plate on the F80 is 120 x 120, so if the recess in the ASUS is 120 x 120, then it will fit. If the recess is smaller, then it won't and you should go with the H80 instead. You can't find the size of the recess online, you will need to measure it.
      Hope this helps.

  • Any chance on a F100A deal?

If you posted some compatible with the xiaomi 34 monitor I'm sure you would have huge interest from OZB

    • +1

The F100A deal should still be running on our site. It is going until 10pm tonight.
      https://www.screenmounts.com.au/store/p63/NEW_Gas_Strut_Mode…
We are looking into a promotion on our site to support this for the F100A, H80 and H100 which would be ideal.
Maybe a Christmas or Boxing Day special so we have time to cope with the shipping volume.

      • Hopefully something that definitely fits the dell s2721qs!

  • Will you be running this again sometime in the future? I stupidly missed the deal. Thanks.

    • Hi there, no plans as yet. Toying with the idea of doing a sale on our own site instead of through Amazon. We will certainly let the OzBargain Community know when we can.

  • Just wondering if this will work with a 200x200 VESA adapter on my large 40" Phillips 4k monitor.

  • Arrived that is quick.

Let see if it can fit height adjustable monitor.

    • Hope you checked the size of the recess. If you purchased the F80, it is actually a relatively easy fix if it does not fit, depending on your access to a small grinder or files, but if you purchased another model, it should be fine as is. Cheers.

      • Yes I bought F80, fit all good no problem, the holes on the VESA plate are for 100x100 and 75x75 and the VESA plate itself measurement is 115 x 115 so not 120 x 120 as you replied to me before. 115 x 115 is around the same as other VESA mount arm not much bigger.

Do you think we should mount the arm on the desk first before put the monitor on? The design is a bit difficult to put the monitor on after mounted the arm on the desk. I have another arm for 34" will allow me slide in the monitor onto the arm and put the secure screw later.

        • +1

I think it's far easier to mount the monitor onto the arm already fixed to the desk, than to try and fix the arm to the desk with the monitor attached. (Unless you have two people, then someone could hold the monitor for you, I guess)

I found it very easy to mount the monitor, just align the two top screw, and the monitor weight will hold it in place for you to screw in the bottom screws and tighten the top ones. What difficulty are you having with this?

I have another arm for 34" will allow me slide in the monitor onto the arm and put the secure screw later.

That is exactly how this one works! :)

Did you turn the mount plate so it's facing the right way?

          • @caprimulgus:

Did you turn the mount plate so it's facing the right way?

From the product photo, the 100 x 100 open end is on the top.

            • @superforever: Hmm that’s interesting. I would’ve thought the open end facing bottom would provide more support. Can the rep comment?

              • @twodollah:

The purpose of the open holes (slots) is to make it easy to mount (it doesn't really make much difference in terms of support, because the screw is still braced against the plate). Once you install one, you'll understand! :)

Explanation: Having the top holes open means you can screw the top two screws into the monitor while it's resting on the table/floor, and then lift it up onto the arm and it will attach to the plate (so you don't have to hold the monitor while you screw it in). If the top hole were not open, you would have to hold the monitor while you screwed the screws in.

Basically, it allows for solo installation - otherwise, you would need a second person to hold the monitor while you screwed it in. :)

            • @superforever:

From the product photo, the 100 x 100 open end is on the top.

Yes - that is how it works! Can you explain exactly what your problem is?

The open holes (slots) face upwards, and you "hang" the monitor onto the plate by slotting the screws into those slots. Then you screw bottom screws in, and tighten the top ones.

              • @caprimulgus:

The open holes (slots) face upwards,

Because it is open when putting the monitor on, it won't hold until I screw in the other two at the bottom. So not quite 100% solo installation.

For 75 x 75 should be fine because it is not open end.

                • @superforever:

Because it is open when putting the monitor on, it won't hold until I screw in the other two at the bottom. So not quite 100% solo installation.

If you screw the top two screws most of the way (but not the whole way), gravity will work it's magic, and they will hold - trust me! :)

I have installed 4 of these things, all 100% solo, no problems at all! :)

For 75 x 75 should be fine because it is not open end.

The 75x75 holes works exactly the same as the 100x100 slots (the 75x75 holes are bigger at the top, like a sliding chain lock on a door). The fact that the 75mm is enclosed makes absolutely no difference to the 100x100 slot being open - the weight of the monitor is pulling it down against the plate, so the top is irrelevant!

Seriously, just install one for yourself and you'll see! :)

                  • @caprimulgus:

Can confirm it will hold for you to put the other two screws in.

In that case easier to install the arm first before put monitor on.

  • Hi guys, i just came to say that F80 fits into dell monitors from the other day S2421HS

    • Great, thanks for letting us know. Cheers.

      • +1

Just a suggestion, from commenting and following the comments on all your deals, perhaps you might keep a log of monitors that people have verified do / don't work with each of the mounts. You could use it as a reference for answering questions, or include that monitor compatibility listing as part of the deal details or even on the website in the specs. That might help minimise all the questions!

Just a suggestion! (Cause you probably spend half your time answering compatibility questions!) :)

  • Has anyone tried attaching the xiaomi 34" onto this yet?
