  • Anyone know how reliable the ARC is on this. I have a pioneer vsx 524 but arc is really bad. Tv doesn't turn on and off correctly and the receiver will just cut out after a while of watching a movie.. its like going into sleep mode.

    • ARC is just audio, the problem that you're describing is a CEC issue. Maybe check the CEC settings.

      • Sorry the port is just mark as ARC. But it has an issue with both arc and cec. The audio will play fone from the tv to the receiver then suddenly just stop. If i increase or decrease the volume within 5 sec it will come on through the receiver again else i have to turn the receiver off and on again. Then also, when i turn the tv off the receiver doesn't turn off. It does however turn off through the xbox power off.. I am assuming the receiver is the issue because this is now my 3rd tv doing the same thing. Also bought better cables etc. Nothing works.

        • Update the firmware on the receiver?

    Doesn't support HDMI 2.1

  • Ken hell I just paid 365 for this on Amazon

Me too. You could order this and then when it showed up return it to Amazon.

I wasn't expecting it to go lower

      • I was about to order on Amazon too with cash back and then I thought why don’t I check eBay one last time

      • Is this what you are doing?

I've just bought it off ebay and will return it to Amazon. $7 shipping cost to send it back but worth it…

I have this. $299 delivered from VideoPro eBay in April. good 5.1 av receiver at this price point. Has 4k passthrough and supports dolby vision and HDR10. Does not support HDR10+ but few receivers do. Even has 4k upscaling if your TV does not have that option

  • When you use the HDMI 4 in 1 out do the speakers connected to it make any sound at all.

The one I’m using atm is a 2 in 1 out and when I have it on and the sound coming from the TV, the speakers around the room still make a soft sound when you go up next to them.

I’m not talking audio from the device I’m using like sound from the video game but sound as in a slight speaker on sound

    Price went up.

  • Currently 380 for me?

It's now back to $291.20 again.

    • Only 9 left folks

      • I just bought one at 9 left, and it went up to 10 left :)

Looking on the actual radio parts website earlier they had 74.

Price has been hopping up and down all day as well.

I was holding out for a HDMI 2.1 receiver for far too long. However but with all the noise about dodgy HDMI 2.1 chipsets in receivers and the fact I'll stick with my plasma for a while, this looks a good deal to drive a simple 2.1 setup.

If anyone does want one of the new yamaha receivers, the RXV6A is $1044.80 from radioparts ebay which is a pretty good deal for that one, but only 3 in stock.

Was in a similar boat. Bought a new Sammy 75 and my trusted onkyo can only do 1080. Bought this, figured it will last me a few years before HDMI 2.1 becomes mainstream.

  • Excellent.

Thanks very much. My Harman Kardon AVR370 7.2 seems to be dead now, so thought I would grab this. Use 2 subwoofers with HK, but, sure I can use 1 for a while.

Thanks, paid $399 for this back in September at Harvey Norman, just lodged a price protection claim to get the $107 back :)

    • Where do you lodge this?

      • Is this via credit card or Harvey Norman themselves?

        • Credit card - 28 Degrees

          • @saitaris: cheers. might start paying my electronics stuff on 28degrees then

  • Hope the deal comes back on :)
