    • +20

      Awesome, I found a neikel.

      • +4

wow you guys are up early.

        • +5

never went to bed. muwhahaha :) all in the spirit of sales

      • @limaaa can you list the AW3821DW on ebay already please I need to add it to my watchlist before leaving :D

        • haha, will shortly, they'll be up in about an hour.

        • +2

          Listing's are up.

  • +28

At this point would you recommend I put this 2k 165hz monitor in the shower and move the 4k 60hz one to the laundry? Perhaps an upgrade for the pantry too…

    • +17

I found it's better to set them up at your bedroom windows, one monitor for each glass panel facing outward and stream a animation across them to passers by.

      • +3

Considering my bedroom window is the equivalent length of 4x27" monitors side by side. I can have them face inward and project "like its daylight" for another 84hrs - that should cover the rest of the weekend sales :)

        • +3

Yeah very funny. How about all you people that already have one of these give some other people a chance to get one

  • No laptop deals?

    • +1

Some laptops already on sale from Dell here

  • +1

    bright and early, LiMaaa

    • +7

Good morning, yeh, too excited to burn a hole in your wallets for Black Friday. <3

      • +3

LOL ……. screw you but thank you

  • Is there a deal for s2721DS coming soon?

    • Not this year.

      • Any idea if the s2721D will be around the same discounted price range as the last time?

        • It was a pretty epic deal, so maybe not fora while.

  • +2

Oooo I'm here and ready for this one. Finally got notifications working, not gonna miss out today.

    • Prepare the coffee and trigger finger! xD

  • +3

469 is a new low? Good job

    • +2

Thank you, cheapest ever and an amazing price for the DGF as it's a gaming beast.

      • +1

GOT IT!!!!!! LOVE YOU LIMAAAA <3

        • +1

          <3

  • Looking for this deal?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581736

    ANY CHANCES?

    • That was part of black friday week, it's already been and gone, sorry. :'(

  • +2

and I bet you someone at either 6 am or 7 am will say OOS.

    • +1

Everyone put your bets down, haha.

    • OOS what gives

      /s

  • Any chance of this at 400 or below i know its already on sale but it was cheaper many times earlier in the year ? :) https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/alienware-25-gaming-monitor-โ€ฆ

    • That was an outlet / refurb deal, these new have been $420 cheapest if memory serves me correctly. All I have is what's on this deal right now, nothing else planned today.

      • This has been 420 before as i got a few of my mates to buy them was hoping one day it would drop below 400 maybe boxing day

  • +8

    I still can't decide between S2721DGF and xiaomi 34.

    • +2

I am in the same boat.

    • In the same boat too … thinking of going triples for sim racing ….. ahhh decisions decisions ๐Ÿ˜”

    • +2

I went the dgf with a QS as a second. Love the setup

    • I have the Xiaomi - for desktop usage its fine, ultra-wide gaming on it is awesome. But I think if I could choose between the two at a similar price, I'd go with the Dell.

It depends on whether you really want wide-screen or not. If you don't, then hands-down go with the Dell - it'll be at least slightly better for non-gaming usage (its IPS vs the VA on the Xiaomi).

      • +1

Can anyone confirm if we can use PS5 on Mi 34inch and the Dell one? Will the performance be the same?

    • Owning both, the Dell wins for me, started using it as the main with the xiaomi as a secondary

  • +2

Wow at that price I might pick up a second :)

  • Thanks LiMaaa! Are there any restrictions on how many I can buy? I need two of them.

    • +2

from memory, only 2 vouchers/coupons allowed.

    • +1

Cam is correct, so two shouldn't be a problem.

      • 2 only ๐Ÿ˜ญ … Iโ€™m after triples

        • +3

Triple will be fine. We accounted for those who may need this so tri purchase will be processed. 10 may not be haha.

          • +2

@LiMaaa: Thank you, spotted a couple of those brodans before on the ebay page…

  • Whatโ€™s rrp for the AW3821DW?

Do I buy a monitor just or not out with barely any reviews ?

Do u know if the fan is noisey op?
    :)

    • It's $2249. Updated OP. Unsure about fan.

    • +2

      Buy first, read reviews later.

Hello , do you know if purchased through EBay, if it come with a tax receipt with an ABN on it? asking as this would be great to just claim through my company and use it for WFH.

    • +4

      Yes bro

    • great question & thank you for asking!

  • Chances of pre Christmas shipping? That would be the dream!

    • +1

There's definitely a chance that about 150 or so will get it before Xmas from 1st batch.

      • +1

        Roger, be quick. Thanks LiMaaa

  • Anyone know if the AW3821DW 38" is 10-bit? and has local dimming? can't see on the specs page

    • +1

      10-bit up to 120hz I read.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/jt29w2โ€ฆ Local dimming apparently similar to the LG 38" monitors, which I understand is the same panel.

    • This model also carries the DisplayHDR 600 certification which requires local dimming of some sort (edge lit), 10-bit colour depth support and wide DCI-P3 gamut coverage. There is also a peak brightness of 600 cd/m2 quoted. source

    • +1

      Edge lit, 32 zones

  • Can I use dell advantage code through eBay?

    • Unfortunately not. Can only be redeemed through Dell.com

      • Can I stack this deal with rewardsgate ??

  • +1

I must have the AW3821DW…been eyeing it for ages……NOW!…Okay I'll wait till 6pm

    • +6

      You spelt OzLoco wrong. :)

      • What?

        • +10

Nvm, pun on your name because you loco (crazy) haha.

  • +1

How does the Dell 27" S2721DGF compare to the LG 27" 27GL850-B? I know theres a 200$ sale price diff. Any key points or user experiences preferred.

    • +2

Had this discussion many times, so forgive for lack of detail. They are the same panel. Dell DGF is superior in features and price point. Compare specs from each monitor or see their rtings review, linked in OP.

      • Oh :o Really.. well thanks for having it again. I'll look into that in the morning. The later morning.. :) Sometimes the specs ain't enough. I like user exp.

    • +1

I have the S2721DGF and it's my daily driver. Great panel with crisp, bright display. Also has blue RGB on the back if that's your thing.

  • Can anyone confirm if the S2721DGF has vesa mounting ?

I can see it in their tech specs

    Thanks

  • I have the previous model S2719DGF

Anyons have any insights on how this compares? This deal seems cheap enough that it could almost be worth upgrading and selling my current model on ebay, but I don't know if it's a substantial enough difference or not…

  • … Can I , may I, cancel my previous order from Nov 10th on dell.com or is it to late… It hasn't been shipped.

Must resist the urge to save more.

    • +1

If it hasn't shipped you may. Send them a support request.

      • Will they match this price? Disappointed that a 22-25 day shipping estimate has turned into 36-38 days (order placed 10 Nov, est arrival 18 Dec)

But if I cancel I may be looking at a mind-Jan delivery instead :'(

        • +1

Bottom of OP answers this, they don't price match these kinds of deals.

          • @LiMaaa: Thanks, I missed that part

  • -1

First time buyer of the monitor. Dino need to have eBay plus to use this code.

    • +2

Did you mean to mark associated? Ebay plus is not required to use coupon.

      • +2

Sorry no didn't meant to mark as associated. I self reported as I don't know how to delete lol

  • Will refreshing the Ebay page at 6pm work or will there be a new link posted on Ebay/OzBargain?

    • Yes, that will work. It will be the same links provided.

  • Hi, do I need eBay plus for this promo code ?
    Cheers.

    • +2

No, code is applicable to all.

  • Just to confirm, we donโ€™t need eBay play for this right?

    • +14

Correct. Don't need ebay play or Google plus to use coupon.

    • did you mean eBay Plus?

      • Yeah hahaha! But already read the above comments if eBay plus is needed and relived that it isnโ€™t.

  • whats with the 27 inch 2k monitor and the rrp is quite high? already got the samsung 2k 32 inch curved but am not impressed.

will this monitor be good on that dell pc with 3070?

will only use it for casual gaming for ps5, pc and kids homework.

    • -1

It's perfect to pair with the 3070 Dell Desktop deal here. but I'm not sure Ps5 supports 2k?

      • +2

        PS5 doesnโ€™t support 1440p at the moment

  • Can anyone advise of the bezel size on the S2721DGF?

    Tia

    • +2

Ultra thin top and side bezels, sleek nice flat bottom bezel.

    • +2

Top and sides 1mm, bottom about 15mm :).

  • @LiMaaa thanks for your good work.
    Great prices!
Purchased through eBay, do they come with the same Dell warranty as buying through their website?

    • Yes they do. 3-Years Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Guarantee.

      • Amazing. Thank you.

  • Hi op, the code PPIBS20 is not working for me anymore. I think itโ€™s because I have used it twice already during the promotion and canโ€™t use it again

    • +2

Only 2 uses per account during promotion. You'll have to use another eBay account / friends account to purchase.

  • -1

Anyone got any 27" monitor recommendations for standard computer use? Cheaper the better (it's ozbargain after all)

Was thinking of QHD or UHD resolution rather than 1080p, is it worth the extra?. Curved or flat ?

    Much appreciated!

    • +1

This would have been great for you if it wasn't sold out.

      • Damn, would've been perfect! Guess I need to look for another deal on it (not likely so soon?)

        • +1

Possibly next year. Check Dell site for Sitewide deals from time to time.

  • Does anyone know what the difference is between the Dell s2721dgf and the ASUS pg278q? I am thinking about getting one or the other but dont know which.

    • I have a ASUS pg278q, bought 3 years ago, and the screen start flickering 2 days ago, not sure how much to fix this out of warranty but I just gonna go ahead with purchase a new monitor this sale season.

About the difference, the huge one is ASUS pg278q only has ONE displayport, no HDMI input at all.

      • +1

I also have the PG278Q. The biggest difference (other than the single displayport input) is the PG278Q is a TN panel vs the Dell S2721DGF using an LG Nano IPS panel. If you google TN vs IPS you'll get a better explanation than I can give but the basically IPS has better viewing angles and colour. TN panel can give faster response times at a lower price. The PG278Q is far better than any other TN panel I've personally seen but still has the viewing angle and colour limitations.

  • +1

Any other 27" deals? Need a 27" QHD for a non gamer (aspiring content creator).

  • I want this but my rx 580 said no :(

    • +10

Make it an ex 580 ;)

  • Anyone know how a 1070 and i5 would go at running this? Playing mostly Apex/Overwatch and hopefully cyberpunk.

Edit: is this a freesync monitor that supports gsync?

    • Yes it is. 1070 may struggle to handle 2k on some of those games. I would suggest a 20 series or 30 series card to future proof you.

  • Thanks LiMaaa! Been looking for the AW3821DW for ages, I'll be spamming F5 at 7pm for sure

I've seen above that someone said this code can only be used twice? If i've bought only one previously i should be fine?

    • If you have used the code once previously, you shouldn't have problems using it again and just having 2-3 qty in your cart for that single code use. ;)

  • Thanks for the hard work LiMaaa, any sales for the Dell S3220DGF this year?

    • Nothing planned, but I'm really keen to look into laptop, 32" and desktop configuration deals for you guys in the new year if Dell allows me hehe.

      • Thanks again! Looking forward to it!

      • +1

Awesome stuff @Limaaa, appreciate your efforts. Just to let you know I have already taken advantage of your S2721DGF and S2721Q deals, thankyou, and would definitely be interested in a 32" 4k model :).

  • are the S2721DGF expected to sell out immediately?

    • define immediately?

      • as in you kind of have one chance once the deal is up. like a blink and you'll miss it deal

        • it should not be like a blink (under 5 seconds) and gone

    • They usually sell quite fast.

  • For the S2721DGF:

    1. How is it for general work use, excel etc
    2. Will this monitor go well with a GTX 2060?
    3. Will this monitor work with the PS5?
      1. Sharp, crisp and good screen real estate.
      2. Yes
      3. It'll work, but Ps5 is geared toward 4k not 1440p. So not ideal.

Ideally use dgf as gaming monitor paired with a 4k like S2721QS as secondary for work flow / Ps5.

    • +1

      Same as what LiMaaa said!

I had someone buy my old XB271HU off me - let him know the PS5 wouldn't support 1440p 165Hz and he still took it.

2 days later came back and said "yeah it's not doing what i want so i might have to bring it back mate."

You'll no doubt have the same issue.

  • $619 was the cost at click frenzy with 5 years premium support.

Or go this deal and have standard 1 year warranty. For $450 odd.

    Hmmm… :/
Extended warranty is sometimes a jip but when it comes to screens i think its reasonable with dead pixels, edge bleed and other stupid issues you can have with monitors.

Well, got today to decide if i want it i guess.
Not sure guys, help persuade me to whats better, more coverage or a cheaper deal?

    • I'd almost consider $619 with 5 years premium to be honest!

I love a good deal, but being supported is always really nice!

    • +1

Except that you have 3 years warranty, not 1 :)

      • +1

never mind then … 3 years is more than enough!

  • Is the S2721DGF height adjustable?

    • +1

      Yes.
The hardware unboxed (melbourne youtubers) show height, twist, pivot.
All the movement of premium screens

    • Yep, swivels too

  • +2

Imagine Dell earning $469,600 in under 10 minutes from selling the S2721DGF.

    • +4

Revenue does not equal profit though. ;)

  • +1

How fast will 1000 units sell out? Should I just sit on the page spamming refresh till deal goes live? :P

    • +1

When they sold for $530 a few months back. There were 400 units and it lasted a few hours

    • +1

They have sold as quick as 5-10 mins. You don't need to spam refresh all day, just do it about a minute before live time. It's good practice for rpg's anyway.

      • so this time it won't be done in couple of rounds, right? like 200 units per round then gap then next round. if after the specified sale time, if it's shown 'out of stock' then it is out of stock hey?

        • Unless for some reason more units appear, it should just be what's specified now.

      • +1

Well lucky I was spamming bc they sold out in just over a minute haha

  • +5

Alienware AW2721D is not even out in Dell Australia store and somehow Limaaa already got it on ebay -_-

    Man, I want 2 but $2k vs $940 for Dell 2721DGF….

    • Either way… Do it.

      • +1

K…2x AW2721D it is! I hope ATO doesn't audit me by the end of this year….

    • Yeah, you're basically paying extra for the 240hz and GSYNC Ultimate module :)

  • will the S2721DGF support Monitor arm like this one: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B071HWSGPN ?

    • +2

The S2721DGF follows VESA mounting standard, so yes.

  • Just bought DGF for $550 :(

Edit: As a true ozbargainer should I return it (15 day change of mind guarantee) and buy it cheaper?

    • On the same boat. OP, I bought last week from dell. would they cancel the order? So I can buy form their ebay store today.

      • If it hasn't shipped Dell has no issue cancelling.

        • +2

Thanks, this will save me $130.

      • +1

Got an email from paypal for the refund already. Amazing that the whole process took less than 20 mins.

    • +1

Dell has a change of mind policy, but Dell "may" apply a 15% restocking fee. Does anyone have any experience with the restocking fee?

      • +2

If it hasn't shipped, there is no restocking fee. Only if it is shipped and you return it.

        • +2

Ariel from Dell eBay customer support has confirmed that there won't be restocking fee as long as the unit is returned to them within 30 days from the delivery date in perfect condition and in its original packaging, Dell Australia can provide a full refund.

  • Do you know if you can use the Dell advantage coupons in conjunction with this coupon since it's through Dell eBay?

    • Highly doubt it, but worth a shot.

    • +1
    • Unfortunately not, advantage coupons for dell.com

  • +1

Good lord mate what are you doing to me?! I might just have to buy another…

    • +1

Just Mount it above the bath and connect it to alexa with a chrome cast / smart TV dongle.

Hands free Netflix & bath. ;)

      • +1

ahaha yeah look there's a $30K bathroom reno that needs to happen before I can do that. :(

you're damn right i've baked in a mounted TV into that budget. lol

        • I wonder if house warmings for renovated bathrooms is a thing.. Hmm. xD

          • +1

@LiMaaa: Keep posting deals like this and you might just score a personal invite! ;)

I'm sure the wife will have decked it out with Dusk candles and adequate bubble bath too, if that's your thing!! LMAO

  • The link for the 38 currently takes you back to this webpage, will that change when the deal goes live?

    • +2

It will change around noon when the listing is created.

  • Hey LiMaaa, I purchased the S2721D and the S2721QS during the last sales. I was wondering if I would be able to use the code again to purchase this monitor. Does the restriction for two monitors mean the code can only be used twice by one account or you are only allowed to buy two of the same listing but the code works on different listings?

    • +1

The code works twice per account. Get in touch with old friends ;)

      • thanks. will do ahahah

    • +1

jeeeze andy, how many monitors do you need? LOL

      • +1

Depends, how much wall real estate you got? They also make great "fake fireplaces" xD

      • The QS is for the dad's WFH setup and the D is to go as a secondary monitor with hopefully this DGF ahaha

  • Does anyone know if the S2721DGF model supports G-Sync at 165hz?

    • I believe it does.

    • Yes, and yes.

It has FreeSync Premium Pro, or whatever the highest tier is.

    • It supports FreeSync pro. 10, 20 and 30 series nvidia cards now fully support gsync through FreeSync on this monitor.

  • So no GSYNC on the S2721DGF :(

    • +1

FreeSync. Works with G-SYNC. You arguably won't notice the difference between actual G-SYNC and FreeSync.

      • from my brief google this morning "Gsync compatible" is a long way from proper GSYNC

        • GSync compatible monitors work much the same as GSynx ultimate, except for variable overdrive which is only possible with the GSync module

        • +1

I highly doubt you'll notice. I went from genuine G-SYNC to this monitor. This monitor I find better overall, but don't notice a difference where G-SYNC/FreeSync counts. At least, for me anyway…

          XB271HU to S2721DGF.

Could argue the XB1 was a bit older, etc. but still. :)

    • +1

      It is g-sync compatible.

  • You know… Iโ€™ve already bought 5 monitors since June…

    • I'm sowie ^^

      • I need more monitor arms now ๐Ÿ˜”

        • This sounds suspicious. Terminator cough

  • +2

Dude, I received my S2721D yesterday after ordering on 17 Nov. I thought it was coming in December. Keep throwing up 3 pointers.

    • +2

Awesome to hear, yeh the guys at Dell are working hard to stick to or surpass shipping expectations for these deals. It's great.

  • +1

my friend is getting married at 6pm, hopefully it'll let me buy two as he will have his hands full

    • +3

Congratulations to the groom, with gifts like that, you can be my best man.

    • +1

The folks at Dell send their congratulations to both you and your friend for your appreciation for the finer things in life. ;)

  • How fast do you reckon the S2721DGF will sell out? Will there be enough time for people without bots?

    • You can never really know, they are a popular model, so get those trigger fingers ready…

  • Price also not updated yet

  • who owns a S2721DGF already and hates the low contrast and black levels that I read about?
I dont own one, just need that contrast, is it that bad?

    • +1

I honestly don't have any issues with contrast. The picture is clear, crisp, full bodied like a fine wine.

    • I wouldn't say hate, but it's definitely noticeable on my pure black wallpapers or in dark movies coming from a (much cheaper) VA panel. Sort of got used to it by now. If you have anything not black on the screen, you can't really tell.

  • +1

Just wondering if there is any chance of a 34" Ultrawide (something like the U3419W or P3421W) going on sale?

    • +1

you beat me for 21 sec :)

      • Haha great minds :)

    • +1

No U or P deals ever unless it's a Sitewide or outlet deal.

      • Thanks for the reply, that's good to know. I saw the U3415W is on sale at the outlet but I couldn't really find out what the difference is compared to the P3421W (apart from USB C and maybe some colour calibration)

        Cheers

  • +1

    oh, gamer monitors only :(
I was hoping to get a deal for P3421W or U3415W

  • +1

    I'm guessing the S2721DGF being 2K doesn't pair with the PS5?

    • Not ideally no, a 4k option from my previous deal would have been better.

    • Apparently the LG 27GL850-B based on the same panel, which also has deals going, can take a 4K input from the PS5 and downscale to 1440p. However it's limited to 60Hz when doing so. Please do your own research to confirm before taking my word.

      • Good to know, I don't have a PS5 yet was just wondering :) Ideally would want something running at the highest refresh rate for first person shooters, even if it means only 1080p. Was hoping it could do 2k at a higher refresh rate

  • Whats the key differences between the AW2721D as compared to the S2721DGF
They seem quite similar with the obvious difference being the refresh rate of 240hz up from 165hz which i dont think my GPU could drive
    Any other big differences?

    • Should have a g sync module in it. Other than that seems like the same panel as the dell

      • What does that even equate to these days? Im currently running a older PG278Q that does have the module but ive since seen a bunch of g-sync "compatible" monitors on the market

        • As I understand it usually G-Sync has a higher operating range (how low the FPS can drop before adaptive sync becomes unavailable). Also G-Sync has adaptive overdrive whereas most freesync monitors don't. This allows the overdrive setting to automatically change as the monitor refresh rate changes. Some monitors based on the LG Nano IPS panel like the S2721DGF are well tuned enough to the point where that's not an issue. Other than that I believe they are pretty similar.

          • @Figo10: Also G-Sync "compatible" means freesync but it's been tested to work with G-Sync (Nvidia cards).

  • Do you think there will more basic monitors from Dell on sale like https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581736 this weekendMonday? Looking for a dual monitor setup 24"/27" 1440p monitor under $450 range in total… Any help appreciated

    • +1

They've already been for this black Friday week. Had 2k s2721d and 2 x 4k options this week. This is the gaming addition to black Friday. New year will definitely have some.

      • +1

Awesome thanks, I will wait for the new year deal then!

  • Could someone recommend me a graphics card around the $500-$600 mark would work well with this monitor?

Gaming wise, I predominantly just play WoW so it doesn't have to be too full on. Thanks in advance!

    • +6

i say 2070 Super or 5700 XT within that budget range.

      • Thanks mate will keep an eye out for deals on those

  • +1

I need some kind of advices. I just purchased the AOC Q27G2S 27" 1440p IPS 155hz at $349 (not $439 because of pricing error), do you think the S2721DGF is a better deal?

  • +1

    Thanks OP! Another sick deal!
Just wondering if there is plan for the AW3821DW to be listed on the dell website down the track?

I'm thinking if I should get it from ebay later today, or to get from dell + cashback (usually up to 10%) in the future.
Figured cashback + half decent sale from dell should get to an even better price, but maybe have to wait a few months.

    • It will definitely be listed in the coming days on the site. I think the waiting a couple months for a deal may be the downside.

  • I paid $534 for this when it first arrived in July but only received on 18/09. Price drop already, but I can't claim on my coles mastercard as it has to be from the same retailer. :(

    • Not a price drop, more like flash sales. Not sure creditors would price secure sales.

  • Does the DGF have a speaker?

    • +1

the DGF does not have a speaker

  • +1

When deal goes live, will there be a 'drop down box' to select the monitor model on that main OOS ebay page? Or individual Ebay pages for each monitor type?

    • +1

Individual listing's per product. Will update the "click to view deal" links (next to product titles) when listing's are up.

      • +1

Thanks LiMaa for all the replies and effort! Youre a machine!!!

        • +1

          Listing's are now up.

  • -9

Feel so cheated right now bought off Dells Website and its saying I won't get it till the 21st of January but somehow these people will get it sooner while I payed 150 dollars extra. Definitely not buying dell again

    • +6

I organise most of these deals and I'm very focused on securing units early to offer good shipping times. Buyers remorse because you stumbled across a good deal shouldn't be a deal breaker, if anything it shows the company is listening to consumers and being competitive, If your purchase hasn't shipped you can always cancel and buy on this deal. :)

  • -3

I thought PPIBS20 code expired already??

  • +2

OzB favourite gaming monitor just got cheaper.

  • +1

Now should i sell my aw3420 .-. and go aw3821

    • Perhaps wait to see if you can snag one of the limited qty first.

      • +1

Yeah, these are going to go faster than if a pack of aliens beamed them up.

        • +1

My 3080 is coming today, and if I don't get one it'll literally ruin my day regardless haha

      • are they gonna stop production on the aw3420 and focuse on the aw3821 line?

    • im on the same boat!

thinking whether to get the aw3821dw now at 20% off, or wait a bit longer and get from Dell.
If I can wait, hopefully can stack a few coupons and cashback (usually up to 10%) and get it at a better price, but prob need to wait a few more months.

      • Im almost 99% sure my monitor is gonna fail within a year or two. So i guess just wait till then and rma it

        • oh why is that? mine is going strong, as new as day 1

  • Not a gamer yet but considering in the future with these monitors; I have Intel i5 9400F GTX 1660 Ti and currently using Dell 24" 1440p P series monitor. Can my pc run AW3821DW?

    • yes and no. You need to define can it run.

can it boot to windows : yes
can it play games on low: props
can it give u the frames: it depends

p.s. im using an rtx2080 and i cant push my aw3420dw to 144frames on rainbow if i max everything.

      • 80% I will only use it for working from home and movies
20% I will use it maybe for gaming in future and since I'm not a big PC gamer maybe I wont after super graphic card… anything can push to 100hz maybe 120hz would be enough for me.

        • get something cheaper than an alien in that case… u might get 100 frames with a 1660Ti but is gonna be on low basically.
Keep in mind that this pushes around 30% more pixel than your 1440p monitor. So a not so accurate way to estimate how much frames you are gonna get is to just minus around 30-40 frames on what you are getting right now when you game

          • @sushimaster: Thanks for the advice, was considering P3421W or U3421WW (not released) which is more easy on wallet. But gosh that AW3821DW is a beauty

            • @Dualedge: ur welcome :) beauty vs functionality. go with the U series i think its higher quality

  • Hey LiMaaa,

Im going to try to buy the DGF from ebay.

I am already waiting on the DGF from a Dell.com purchase on 11 November.

I want to see what ships first.

If the Dell.com one ships first, am I able to cancel the Ebay one? Or will I be stuck with two monitors? (Not the worst thing in the world i suppose…)

    • +1

Free 30 day returns to Dell for full refund if in original packaging unopened. Don't stress.

      • +1

        Legend.

      • +1

Petition to have LiMaaa FAQ page on OzB to answer all these standard questions.

      • Does the same apply if refunding the purchase from Dell's site directly? [13 Nov purchase date]

        • It does.

  • +1

Omg… So tempted to pull another trigger on the monitor. But don't actually need more monitor =/

  • +1

Very similar monitor for more than $100 less.

    https://www.ple.com.au/Products/644174/AOC-Q27G2S-27-WQHD-Adโ€ฆ

I know the Dell is popular on this forum, but I think saving money and getting the same end result is a better choice.

    • +2

I think this is a solid recommendation lol. Coming from 2 DGF and returned both due to QC. and honestly their support (dell) is overrated :')

      • +1

Yeah that's worrying to hear. Personally I couldn't deal with the bad black level uniformity that was in the RTings review unit, did yours have that problem too? I have the S2721D and I really, really like it and it has no panel imperfections. However in warm weather it goes black for a second when I get up from my chair!! What the hell! As I run audio through the monitor to speakers either side, the audio cuts out also for a second. I've tried multiple cables and neither previous 1440p 27" monitors I had, had this problem. It's hilarious though and very repeatable. With the weather heating up, I may have to return it.

Also back to the deal, the Dell S2721DGF just keeps going lower and lower and more competition is coming out. So if you don't NEED a high refresh rate 1440p monitor - just hold out a few months as they are no where near finished dropping in price, especially with high refresh rate 4K 32" monitors being the next big thing with the new console generations and new GPUs taking the halo price away from 1440p high refresh rate monitors.

It's possible that in a few months these are all around $250-300 while most people purchasing them for the high refresh can't even play games with those FPS with the way GPU stock is at the moment.

        • +1

mine had MULTIPLE PROBLEMS so dont get me started.. i m pretty sure ive mentioned this on all other dell DGF post but i guess people dont believe it :') (had a few downvotes but oh well)

just to elab: mine had bright pixel, red glow, colour inconsistency between the 2 (was told that they were all calibrated the same), backlight bleed (worst than any IPS ive seen in the past…) didn't really get any black uniformity issues as oppose to white. Not to mention it toke me 3 months to fix the issues (and a lot of communication problems on dell's behalf, their internal system is a MESS)

TL;DR. ALL of these NANO IPS panels are manufactured by LG and LG only. if you see high refresh rate IPS, its most likely going to have all the same problems that LG has with their NANO IPS stuff. The only differences is the manufacturer and the after sales I guess.

    • Im pretty sure 349 is a pricing error, every other website shows 439 ;)

      • +1

I'm sure it's not. It was $390 in that deal posted, which people got.

        • +1

not a price error. confirmed with PLE.

          • @baj: Thanks. Yeah it's what I thought, people had FOMO and spent $200 more than they needed on the Dell because people on the internet said it was such a good deal and to buy now think later lol!

1440p isn't the way forward anymore with new GPUs and consoles pushing high refresh 4k now. In a years time these monitors will all be on clearance.

    • +1

As I've said previously, the fact that they list the contrast as 3000:1 and and it's listed as an IPS doesn't inspire me with confidence. These Nano IPS panels are almost faster than TN panels and we don't have any info as to whether the AOC can keep up with the refresh rate

Also note that the Dell is a wide gamut panel too, the AOC is not

      • No it's wide gamut. Have a look at AOC webpage and PLE. Also confirmed to have an SRGB clamp for the 10bit mode (guy in the thread I linked to confirmed it).

It could very well be an LG Nano IPS, the same panel as this.

        • hmm, interesting, thanks for the info

    • I agree and I had put a pre-order on that monitor through PLE 2 days ago. I didn't post it here because of pre-order but to me that's excellent value for money. I also just called them to confirm the price, it is not a price error and the delivery or stock is expected on 18 Dec.

  • I would strongly advise against purchasing this deal

    • Care to elaborate?

      • +15

        I need it

        • +2

Good advice. Would say the same to anyone else who might be interested in this monitor

    • No you!

  • LiMaaa will these come before the CyberPunkz release :)?

    • Cyberpunk releases 9th Dec doesn't it? In that case I'd say some will come a week or so afterward.

      • Until cyberpunk is delayed again

  • I just bought the S3220DGF and awaiting delivery…..Would getting the S2721DGF as a second monitor be weird?

  • This is awesome! Will they ship to NZ?

    • No, Australian offer only.

  • +1

oh what else can i say… I love dell Australia

  • Why are these specials on eBay but not Dellโ€™s own site?

    • +2

eBay subsidizes the discount partially with the promotion code - meaning Dell still makes a decent-ish amount off the sale.

      • Then why not replicate all their offers?

  • +2

    AW3821DW for $1800 is great considering the LG equivalent is $2.2k (144Hz no G-sync) or $2.6k (165Hz with G-sync).

  • Hi @LiMaaa, I am looking to get the DGF for gaming. I know very little about monitors, and I was wondering if the AW2720HF is equivalent for gaming (other than not being UW)?

Also, I need two monitors as one will be for work. I gather it would be better to go 4K for the work monitor as opposed to x2 DGF. Would you recommend the S3221QS or the S2721QS for work?

Thanks very much for your input.

    • I would go dgf and QS if I were you. Although I have a s2721d and dgf paired and that also works very nicely.

  • +2

    Jingle Dell Jingle Dell

    • jingle Dell rock

    • +1

This is IPS with an LG panel, the Gigabyte is VA.

      • Specs list Gigabyte as IPS / PLS Panel

  • Can I run s2721dgf with my rx580? Know it's not optimal but is it fine?

    • It should run fine, but if you're talking about gaming, the QHD resolution may impact frames on your gpu.

  • I've been waiting for the price to drop so I can buy it and pair it with my NEW PC.
But all GPU's are out of stock.

Do you guys think its worth to get it before you get a pc or wait and then.
I already have a decent 1080p monitor but this is for a new pc which i haven't even got as everything is out of stock.

    Still great price.

    • I did, then just upgraded my components as I went. As long as it isn't going to take you months to get new pc.

  • Is the AW3821DW also going to be up on the Dell website at the same time?

    • Should be listed on site in a few days.

  • I'm worried about ebay and warrenty.
Because after a couple months (3 months) the orders are no longer open for dispute or anything.
So if its faulty after a couple months and I try to contact the seller for warrenty and they don't follow their warrenty, I cant do anything.
Unlike if it was on the Dell website, I can contact them and get it replaced if it goes faulty.

Could @LiMAaaa let me know if you guys will follow through with your warrenty??

    Thanks

    • +2

after a couple months (3 months) the orders are no longer open for dispute

eBay disputes aren't for warranty. Dell offers warranty on this, you just contact them

    • Yeah, probably a bad idea to order the 38AW … never know what might go wrong, and then youโ€™re left with a paperweight. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

      • See this

        • +2

          It's only cause I want one :P

          • @pyrate: Sneaky pyrate ;)

    • As kroger mentioned, you get Dell 3 year warranty on these purchases, just because you're buying through ebay, you're still purchasing from Dell and their warranty and exchange service is quite good. So no different then buying through official Dell site.

  • +1

Yeah. I never received my monitor from the September deal and I am waiting now over a month for the refund. So good to see this even cheaper now. I guess these are great monitors when you have no issues … lots of people have a positive experience. But after my current experience and still waiting for a refund I avoid Dell for some time now (yes … 2 months later!).

  • For someone who won't be able to snag the S2721dgf, is this a good deal?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/585978?utm_source=searchalโ€ฆ

    • Ah I cant decide on these 2. Paper spec wise, is it worth paying extra $80 for 21Hz refresh rate. Not like my rig will constantly be close to 144/165Hz anyways ๐Ÿ˜‚
Just worried there are panel quality difference/issues IRL

      • +1

Personally with warranty and panel quality, I would go Dell in a heartbeat for that $$

  • I read that dgf runs hot. Is that true ? How bad. I WFH at the moment with no AC in Sydney.'
I have two 27 2K Asus PB278QR. Extremely happy with them. I need to move one into another room. Was thinking of swapping one out with something with a higher refresh rate 75Hz or above. I missed out on the earlier Dell 27 2K deals. Is this one overkill for me ? I don't really game much.

    • +1

Yes it's a gaming beast, S2721D would have suited your situation better.

      • +1

Thanks. I figured.. was too slow. I guess will have to wait for next round of sales

      • +1

I hope the next sale for S2721D is soon too! Lots of demand and many missed out. ;)

      • +1

What's your take on this statement, LiMaaa?

I read that dgf runs hot

        • +1

I have not noticed this at all, others I know also don't have this experience. I think it may come down to your humidity in your environment, but there's nothing that suggests this runs any hotter than your standard monitor.

    • I have no Ac rn, broken, muggy day today in Melbourne, it generates heat, but nothing substantial. Comparable to my previous Dell and benq monitors.

  • Is there a 14 day period whether I can change my mind and return AW3821DW and get a refund?

I am worried about the curved.

    • It's 2300R, very slight curve

      • Almost flat one, you mean?

        • +2

It's a very minimal curve. You have 30 day Dell returns.

          • +1

@KERRR: Even the box is open and only if Im not getting used to the curved thing, then I can return it to Dell and issue a refund, right?

            • @daddydirtsurfer: Hmm change of mind after usage may incur restocking fee. Change of mind without use does not.

  • Any chance of a deal on S2721QS close to these prices in the future ?

    • +1

      Probably next year

  • Anyone familiar or had experience with Dell's policy on IPS glow and broken pixels? Just in case :)

  • is this going to be restocked?

    • It will be restocked when deal goes live in an hour.

  • +2

I feel like there's a good chance to get 15-25% off on the AW3821DW say boxing day or early 2021 purchasing directly from Dell.
and combining with cashback (up to 10%) or alternatively with coupons like EPP5 and LOVEKEANU, it will probably work out cheaper (maybe up to 30-35% off including cashback/coupons) if wait another month or two.

no guarantee though, its either get it now for 20% or play the waiting game if not in a rush.

  • +4

To everyone who is on the fence about buying one of these monitors.
I was the same before I jumped on the previous OzBargain post about these monitors back in August. I ended up buying two of them for $530-ish each and IM SO GLAD I DID. They are amazing monitors to compliment my Asus Strix 2070 Super. Next to no IPS glow and no dead pixels on either of my monitors.
For sub-$500, these are the best monitors you'll get, period. Don't miss out on this deal! You'll be sorry!!

    • +2

I can second that (albeit I only bought 1). I have a QS along side it so I have a duel work station and then switch to my gaming mode.

It's kind of like a mullet - Business at the front and party at the back

    • +1

Awesome, that was my experience as well.

  • Is there a one item limit for the AW3821DW? Will the 20% code stack for the entire order if I get multiple, or best to order multiple times?

    • +1

Why do you need 2 :) Save some for others

      • +1

    • Yep.. this whole AEST VS AEDT.. better safe than sorry

    • i thought the sale was on now?

      • Nope, in an hour.

    • Was worth a try, I hit refresh for a minute straight just in case.

    • Oh, well that explains that then.

    • Bahaha same!!! So take it your from Sydney too? Guess it's 7pm

    • hahah nah Melb but hoping Santa aka LiMaaa comes through with my Christmas present.

      • I dunno, did you leave me milk and cookies? ;)

        • +1

DM me your address and you will get more than milk and cookies if I get one of these :D

          • @Cozi01: Haha, must fight… Curiosity.

            • @LiMaaa: lol ok DM me your email address and ill reply from my work email saying hello, from there you can decide.

              Pending me getting a S2721DGF ;)

Happy to repay a favour for all your hard work with these deals.

    • +3

Was considering posting "I got one!" just to make everyone panic haha

      • +1

        hahaha mofo

        • I'm worrying without the stress of refreshing, only 100 units for the 38 inch

          • @cille745: The limited qty units will be hard to nab. Best practice is make sure you have ebay listing's open on mobile and desktop. CC info ready or saved by Google for easy input. Be here a minute early. All you can do is try.

    • +1

Sme here as I was confused. Guess we wait for 7pm.

    • Hope everyone was as lucky as me!!!

      Thanks! Your order was placed.

      • daaaayum daylight saving times.

  • +1

wanted to get this for christmas present, no way is it getting delivered before then right? haha

    • Honestly yes, about 150 or so should get it before Xmas, wether you're one of those is a different story. The faster you order the faster you go in queue for first delivery. But make sure to apply coupon.

  • Wow, i feel absolutely dirty that a bought 2 of these monitors from the last deal and one is still not even close to arriving.

Overpaid by close to $150 per monitor, think i want to be sick.

    • Must have not purchased from my previous deals? As the most you would have paid is about $60 or so difference and that's not too bad.

    • Hope you don't literally feel sick over $150 - just chalk it up to 'stuff happens' and move on. Sucks about slow delivery though.

      • +1

Im not going to die over it but $300 is $300, especially when i probably will see the second monitor AFTER people in this deal going by the ETAs quoted.

      • Should see my S2721D deal comments coming in now, everyone is getting theirs early. Strange how unreliably reliable shipping can be during 2020

  • Do cash back work when we use coupons?

    • If the coupon is listed on the cashback site. Otherwise you can try but know that it might bounce.

  • Will I be able to stack this coupon with a "Save up to $100*. Min spend $60+." ebay voucher?

    • This I'm unsure of, go to another Dell product on the 20% off via ebay and see if it applies, if it does and it uses the same coupon as this deal it should work.

      • +1

I tested it on a couple other monitors; can only use a single coupon. Thanks LiMaaa.

  • Do the Dell vouchers work through the Ebay store?

    • Dell advantage coupons only work via the Dell website.

      • +1

        No worries, thankyou!

  • Are the ETA's accurate? If so won't get the 38 inch before Cyberpunk :(

    • +1

I had a similar ETA (Dec 15-21) from the S2721D sale https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581736 just over a week ago, but I received it yesterday morning. So it may not be accurate, or I may be just lucky.

    • The alienware stock are already in AU, all alienware monitors will start arriving from the 1st week of December and all should meet their destinations before end of Dec. There is good chance you'll get an alienware monitor in time for cyber punk.

  • Is there a reason for the shipping being a couple weeks from now??
Just curious because most people might be on holidays (eg. interstate) so they might not be home to receive it.

    • We want to try get everyone their product before Xmas, but we buffer shipping to account for delays because transparency so customers can make informed purchases is the best policy.

  • +1

Let's see how fast this gets ozb…

  • Will there be a link to the product page? Or will it just pop up at the Australian Dell Ebay page?

    • Links are all in OP to their respected product listing's.

  • Even the 27" will take a few weeks to arrive??

    • The dgf can be as early as Dec 10, but want to give transparent shipping ETA that accounts for delays vs false hope.

  • tick tok tick tok…

All 1000 DGF units in 1 minute flat. Haha. That's Ozbargained right there.

Still have the competitive gaming high Hz aw monitors going at least.

i looked at it at 2 past, thought it was late or something :(

    • +2

eBay decided it wanted to sign me out as I went to checkout, so I missed out this time. Congrats to everyone who managed to snag one!

I'll just have to hope for a competitive price on Dell.com that I can use an advantage voucher with before the end of the year.

      • +1

I am lucky I thought about this before hand. I went to modify some account settings and made it prompt me to sign in again around 5:55pm so I knew for sure that wouldn't happen at checkout at 6pm. Now you know for next time I guess. Sorry you couldn't get one :(

        • This would have been my second to pair with one from the original deal, so I'm not that upset. Happy for everyone who's got one coming, it's a fantastic display!

    • any chance of more stock

      • Likely not, units that were allocated are sold.

        • Pull in an order for 1000 units. We will deal with it for you, you scratch our backs etc.

    • The promo code couldn't be applied to my order, any chance it can be applied after ?

      • rip trigger happy?

Thanks OP! Managed to get one before they sold out :O

  • +2

Dell just made 1mil + in minutes.

    • +1

Minus manufacturing costs, staff, postage, etc

      • They made ez money by selling a large number of products at lower costs and have got less profit in selling these at msrp, but they sold all these units in under 2 minutes.

  • Thanks got 10!!

    • +10

We have assembled a special hit team for you. You'll get a knock shortly ;)

      • +3

Any hints on when the next big s2721dgf deal might be? Cyber monday allocation? Boxing day? ;)

        • LiMaaa, if you say you'll have S2721DGF sub $450 on Cyber Monday, i'll kill you man

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: I think going that low would incur loss. Rest assured… For now :D

      • +1

Hoping for a Boxing Day deals

    • +5

Max discount with the code was $1000 so technically you have paid more per unit lol

      • 20% off, Max discount of $1000, I don't think there were any monitors that were 5 grand was there? Haha

        • I think they meant each unit provides a $117.40 discount with the coupon code, 10 units would go $174 over the $1000 limit.

They got sucked in for 1 & a half units, ha.

Please arrange scalpers to be delivered late January ;)

  • Grabbed the aw2721d. Surprised it's not super popular.

    • +2

esports gaming level, clearly not enough csgo players here ;)

  • +1

Jumped on the S2721 at 1900hrs (AEDT), ebay says estimated delivery: Monday 14 Dec 2020 - Wednesday 23 Dec 2020.

Here's to hoping for the first batch of shipments.

  • The promo code didn't work on my order feels bad

    • +1

Yeh it didn't go through for me either despite me clicking it… Any chance they will apply it after purchase?

      • Would be nice, tried to apply it multiple times but it was denied

  • +1

Good lord, I'm glad I stalked this. OzB-d in 5 minutes.

Can't wait to get mine. Thanks OP! :D

  • there was a sale last month for 400 units, did it also get sold out within 2 mins?

    • I think it lasted longer tbh

  • +1

That damn paypal payment processing screen gave me anxiety.
To think Dell made an easy $470k in 2 minutes with the DGF alone ๐Ÿคฃ

    • Same. Paypal took forever to load and made soo many redirects. I was sketching it because last night the Paypal screen was signing me out of ebay

      • Haha I was prepping. Signed into Paypal prior to the launch. Then ebay made you enter in the password again in the ebay instanced window…
Thank lord for password manager auto fill ๐Ÿ˜…

      • really? Paypal was just 2 clicks for me

  • i dont know, but i thought deal was live already at around 5:58 qld time.

    • Rip

    • i'm not in QLD but the deal start at approx. 7 PM Sydney time.

    • Nah, listing qty was updated on the dot at specified time. Gotta keep it fair ;)

    • It wasnt

  • +1

thats what you call GONE IN 45 SECONDS

    • Gone in 60 seconds.

      • Did we break any sales records?? Also where would you post updates of when the expected shipments will go out?

        • In the main op, if shipping changes or there are some important updates.

  • 10 minutes in and the S2721DGF is out of stock?

  • +2

Good job Limaaa. You've broke Ozbargain, now I can't even load to see comments

  • I missed out for now the 3rd or 4th time. I was about 5 minutes late. I didn't realise they'd sell out so fast. First time I've been here close to the sale time. Other times, I've been at work and saw that the sale was over 1-2 hours after I found out about it.

    • last time it was at 5am and I was awake but didnt want to make a rash decision so late, glad i waited i guess since my 3080 will be coming next month as well

      • I'm also waiting on video cards as well. I'm trying to decide between a GTX 3080 or RX 6800/6800XT, but not sure when stock levels will get better and/or if pricing won't be so inflated. If any of those three cards were close to what their US retail price is, then I'd be happy with any of them, but the current prices in Australia are way too over.

What version/model 3080 did you get? I assume it's a pre-order? What kind of price did you get on it?

I'm building a system based around a 3900XT and I just need the video card and monitor now. I thought I'd get the Monitor tonight, but yeah, that didn't turn out too well :(.

        • My system is a 9900k and using a 2070(non-s) currently, since I got a better job this year now buying an 80-series for the first time ever lol.

I got the EVGA XC3 Black Edition for $1139 from PLE, i got an ETA from them last week so should be here soonish hopefully, ordered on launch day, sucks I waited so long but I dont really care.

I suggest going for 3080s if its the same price as the 6800XT even next year, it comes with way more features and Nvidia as a platform is far more stable. I know people keep saying VRAM but you will be playing at 1440p,yes? the 10GB will be more than enough for a few years and its also faster RAM. I can only recommend getting the 6800XT if it's actually a solid $100ish dollars lower.

          • @Freestyle: Darn, that is a great price and I think pretty highly of EVGA due to their after sales support. I'll have to have a look at PLE. Is that still listed there at that price, or did you get lucky and get it at a great pre-order only price?

Looking at the current prices, it turns out that it will be worth the wait.

            • @Ice009: Its still in that price, EVGA XC3 from PLE are the lowest priced ones in AU for some reason, Scorptec even marked them up a lot

Not sure if the landing pages are still there though, as you might expect they have a huge backlog to get through, stock normalises probably in Feb/March

              • @Freestyle: I also haven't bought a 80-series card for a long time. I think the GTX 680 is the last top end card I bought. The main reason that I want to get one now, though, is that finally the price to performance is worth it for the first time in a long time, and also, like you, I can now afford it.

I'll have a look at PLE, but I am assuming I can't pre-order as it will probably say sold out?

If I can get a 3080 instead of a 6800XT for around 1150, I am assuming the Nvidia card is the way to go and the better performer? Also, I haven't seen any reviews since the launch reviews, but are the aftermarket 3080 and 6800XTs much better performing over the reference designed ones? Have you had a chance to check out reviews of your EVGA XC3 compared to other 3080s?

Oh, and is 10GB VRAM enough compared to the 16GB that the AMD cards come with (this is another reason I was looking at the AMD cards).

I guess I can wait until February/March for stock and prices to normalise (if I have to). Do you guys think the prices will actually come down, though?. I can just try and get something like a 1070Ti second hand and use that as an interim card. I sold my RX 5700XT about 3-4 weeks ago. I am now regretting selling it. I didn't expect stock shortages from AMD too.

                • @Ice009: Yes 10GB should be more than enough for 1440p gaming, dont get AMD cards just because of VRAM, get them if they are better in value because they lack a ton of features and drivers were unstable in the past, not sure about this time as its still new.

Yeah the XC3 performs similarly to the FE version, its also the smallest AIB 3080 available as most others are 3 slots. The 'best' AIB card is the ASUS TUF but that comes at $1299 minimum here i believe but EVGA ones are more than good enough, EVGA are also a great company to handle if you have troubles with the card, their customer support is top-notch. Make sure you register your card online to get 3 years warranty

I have no idea about 6000-series AIBs though, but seeing the prices that are basically the same as 3080s cant see them as worth it lol

Prices? Probably wont go down till end of next year, stock of the cards SHOULD normalise in March but who knows, remember we live in a covid world, I know its easy to forget that living in AU lol

                  • @Freestyle: Hi, thanks for the reply. I sent PLE an email to ask about ordering the EVGA FTW Ultra, so I will see what they say. Is that Asus TUF one sold anywhere or listed up anywhere for $1299.

I think I will take your (and Kille745's) advice and go for an Nvidia card. I did want to go AMD, but with their prices not being better (this was one of their biggest selling points to me as I thought they would be cheaper than the RTX 3080s), and also if you guys don't think that extra VRAM will make any difference over the 3080s 10GB, I'll start reading/watching some reviews on the 3080 aftermarket cooled cards and see what the differences are.

As for the pricing going down, did you mean to say at the end of this year, or did you really mean the end of next year? I don't mind waiting until Feb/March for stock, but I also don't want to pay inflated prices.

The pricing on the Nvidia 20xx series is why I skipped it all together and went with the RX 5700XT. The price to performance ratio of those cards sucked. However, with the Nvidia 30xx series cards, if they are actually sold at what their retail prices should be, then this is the first time in a very long time where I feel the price to performance is worth it, so that is why I was willing to spend over $1000 on a video card for the first time in ages (over 4 years or so).

                    • @Ice009: end of next year lol, demand will stabilize by then and you'll start getting good deals, the 2070 for example couldnt be found below $900 for quite a while and that was pre covid, I resorted to getting mine through Amazon since everywhere in AU was so expensive.

Nah VRAM shouldnt be your deciding factor, not for 1440p high refresh rate gaming.

Uhh…I don't remember where I saw the TUF but now everywhere it seems to be a premium of 1399, probably not worth it than, the FTW Ultra is pretty good alternative though, its one of the OCed cards with a beefier cooler than my XC3 so should be pretty good. Check out Jayz2cents initial 3080 review, i think it was the FTW Ultra that he had and this is the complete indepth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG_xJ_rC3WE

              • @Freestyle: Apparently PLE were able to source them directly from EVGA, cutting out the distributor middleman and passing the savings onto us

                • @cille745: lol i see, where did you read that

                  • @Freestyle: Somewhere on whirlpool I think, makes sense considering all their other cards are priced normally

                    • @cille745: yeah, wish we had more options at this range…so many freaking stores and none decided to compete for price

Umart even got caught price gouging and offering fake discounts

                • @cille745: That's really cool/interesting to know. Any idea if you can still pre-order them at their current listed prices? I just sent an email to PLE to ask.

Also, if the price is the same between say an EVGA 3080 and an equivalent non-reference design (aftermarket cooled) RX 6800XT, is the RTX 3080 still the card to get over the AMD card? I haven't had time to read reviews since the initial launch reviews of the RX 6800XT, and also haven't looked into the Nvidia card's performance since the launch of the reference design GTX 3080s (are the aftermarket cooled 3080s much better performers over the stock cooled ones?).

The main reason I was looking to buy an aftermarket cooled RX 6800XT is because I thought the prices would be cheaper than the non-reference design GTX 3080s, and I also stupidly thought that the RX 60xx series GPUs would have more stock available.

                  • @Ice009: The only cheaper AIB 6800 XT's at the moment are Powercolor and Sapphire at the moment in that same sort of price range. The wait times for the PLE EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 are extremely long at this point. I ordered mine an hour after release and only got it yesterday.

Performance between the two seems to be pretty similar. AMD has more VRAM, Nvidia has much better RTX, and more importantly, DLSS support if you're looking to play Cyberpunk. I honestly reckon 10GB for the 3080 should be fine, and the point where it isn't will be the point where you'll want to upgrade anyway.

                    • @cille745: Thanks. I will do more reading and watch some more reviews when I have some more spare time. I guess if you don't think the extra VRAM on the AMD cards will matter much for future use (like next year - I'm not looking at more than 1 year down the line as I'll buy a better card if it's needed by then), then I may just go with an Nvidia card as the pricing it too close right now. If AMD was cheaper like I thought they'd be, then yeah, I would be happy with one as I'd be OK with the performance difference, but also, like you said, I'd probably prefer the better RTX and DLSS support for newer games such as the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.

                      • @Ice009: If you're going to buy the next best thing, then definitely the 3080. Rtx and DLSS have matured quite a bit now, where as we haven't heard anything about AMD's upscaling tech yet

  • +6

Rep, you know … besides the deals are great, YOU made this campaign greatly successful!

    • Let's go out for ice-cream to celebrate.

  • +2

read a book to kid and come back. Noooo!!! ALL GONE! Please can we add more unit?

    • me too!!

    • I hope in the new year to get a 2500 unit deal. But this is all for today.

  • +8

I was literally more nervous than taking exams

    • Was so nervous too. Heart was pounding out of my chest.

      • +2

you guys should try the Airpods pro drop, this is just child play.

        • +2

Have tried before, no anxiety at all when I'm not expecting to actually score any. Just like entering an exam hall knowing I'm gonna fail the course no matter what, no pressure!

  • +3

I was refreshing so fast and still missed out. Will this at this price be back again or not gonna see this price for a long time?

    • +4

I think I remember seeing OP saying on another post that the next big sale will be around New Years. I guess it's yet to be seen whether it'll be this low ever again, and given the obscene demand I'd be surprised if Dell chose to go this low again because they're just leaving money on the table, you'd think.

    • +1

I was refreshing constantly until a minute before when I realised it was causing slight lag on my end by refreshing too much.
Ended up waiting until the clock ticked over, refreshed once & got one within 10-15 seconds.

Not 100% sure if it gave me a better chance but thought it might be worth noting for next time.

  • I was early but when I checked out I couldn't apply the code. kept saying "This code can't be applied to your order" why?

    • +1

      Same for me man

    • +1

Have you used the code on other items in the Dell store? It's 2 uses per account

      • I've bought nothing from dell before on ebay

    • +2

Ebay bug, sometimes you have to log out and back in. Sorry to hear :/

      • +2

No need to be sorry, its not your fault. But this sadly ruined my day completely. Waited months for the deal to come back and was looking forward to it all day.

      • +1

logged out, cleared cache , logged in. it comes up with the same error. any ideas?

        • the other suggestion is to use mobile or ebay app. This usually solves it

          • +1

@LiMaaa: Negative, if I ever figure it out I'll let you know

  • still available via dell website, but why the review is only 3.7 average?

    https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721โ€ฆ

    • +3

Great monitor but reviews on the site were dragged down by people complaining about shipping delays

    • +2

      Shipping times.

    • It's $639 on the Dell site, though? Still a good special, but a bit out of my price range.

  • +1

i was tempted to not use PayPal but I did anyway; was hoping it wasn't a mistake but boy, that time to login then to processing payment .. that loading process … it feels like a minute or two.

  • +2

was waiting the whole day to get the 21dgf and I got stuck in cashreward a d now its gone… I am so pissed…
will just get the xiaomi uw now

    • literally same, I wonder when it will go on sale? :/

  • -6

Missed out on the S2721DGF. Absolutely gutted. Been waiting all day, had everything ready, started checking out the moment it went live but by the time I got the code entered and hit the confirm button it was sold out.
Now the hunt begins for another option. Swore I'd never buy another IPS because of the bad contrast so I guess I'll take it as a sign.
Congrats to everyone lucky enough to snag one.

    • Keen for any thoughts on the contrast, or anything else about IPS? Hoping I've bought the right monitor. I'm sure it will be all good.

This will be my first IPS, but I'm 'used' to backlight bleed on my TV and some older monitors. Hoping this will be a step up from my LG's, a TN 240hz with shocking colour, but otherwise great for games. And a lg550-something-B 31.5โ€ 4K VA with shocking viewing angle and a stuck bright green pixel in the upper middle. Having a go at some vector graphics/pcb design where odd contrast glowing effect made me want to gouge my eyes out at most settings, but browsing oddly ok.

Did my reading a few months back and decided to keep and eye out for the s2721dgf. Can't remember too much of what I read about IPS other than better viewing angle and worse backlight bleed.

      Hoping for a good all-rounder.

    • +7

Sorry to hear. Why did you neg the deal?

      • -1

        because he missed out,
should have made it a supply of 10,000 monitors, would have been ok waiting for 4 moths

        • Some would disagree haha.

    • +1

Strange. 1000 units got sold out only by 7:02. If you did get on the moment if went live, it shouldn't have taken you less than a minute to enter the code. I got one even though I had to type in 5 extra codes for my gift cards.

      • +1

damn! you're ballzy haha, I was tempted to do giftcards but thought nope, I'm not missing out on that 38" haha. All gone in 45 seconds, glad I just straight went for it.

        • +1

Haha. That was me being foolish not ballsy. I never expected 1k units to go out in 2 mins. Definitely wouldn't have used gift cards if I wasn't after the DGF.

        • +1

My Paypal at first messed up for the 38 and I just about had heart failure, got it through though!

          • @cille745: Oh my, by the time I was putting the promo code in I could feel my heart pumping. Its quite the adrenaline rush racing through the checkout! Couldn't imagine PayPal screwing up

      • +1

Not that easy when youโ€™re trying to do it on your phone because youโ€™re stuck at work…

  • +5

Any recommendation on other deals of similar panels to the S2721DGF

    • +5

LG's 27GL850 - which uses an identical panel, albeit with a different configuration - is discounted at the moment for $638. The Dell discount is just that good that it's kind of incomparable to anything else right now.

      • FWIW, compared to my very old AOC/benq cheapies from a decade back, the LG joystick interface is generally pleasant.
I have two LG's, neither with that panel, but the interface seems consistent across both of them.

        • That is true. I've got a 24GM77 at the moment that I'm looking to upgrade from and interacting with the OSD was never really an issue for me.

      • There is also the Lenovo Legion Y27q-20 at $699 from their website.
Apparently it's "Better build quality (Lenovo), better stand (Lenovo), better refresh rate (Lenovo), better response time (Lenovo)" by comparison to the LG 27GL850.

        &

BenQ ex2780q can also be had for $599 from multiple sources atm.

        • +1

Interesting, do those both use the same Nano IPS LG panel? Not too familiar with them myself.

          • +1

            @lachlantula: They do.
Though apparently the BenQ stand is very basic with a very unique colour, also doesn't maintain the response times quite as nicely as the LG & thus the Lenovo.

  • +11

Not gunna lie, pretty pissed off that these all sold in a minute…

    • I didn't think they would because upvote count, but ig you guys were secretly waiting to pounce.

  • Meeh hdr600 doesnโ€™t count rather g9

    • I mean that is significantly more expensive (even without considering the discount on this)…

    • +3

So I take it that you were too slow for the 38"..?

      • +3

        That burn. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

      • Hdr10 only here, real champ shit, enjoy your washed out colours :)

    • This has double the dimming zones, but they're both bad for hdr

  • +1

Absolutely shattered. I went to check out, added to my cart etc. then ye ol faithful browser didnโ€™t respond, quickly relaunched it and by the time the site reloaded it was gone.

I still have it in my cart :(

    https://i.imgur.com/JmX1njR.jpeg

    • Update: As per my second comment

I messaged eBay, they responded with basically "it sucks to suck" - spoke with LiMaaa and he was able to secure a very last monitor for me at the sale price. Absolute champion.

  • +2

Got one, been sweating on this for months! Missed three other deals on the DGF, amazing I managed to get one in the 1 minute(!) they were available.

Thanks so much to LiMaaa, and all others associated with this deal behind the scenes

    • +1

Yeh those guys work damn hard for these deals. Appreciate that.

  • +2

I'm getting PMs asking for which bot I used haha

Hard to believe but no bot! Just had the page open, and had logged out/in of ebay and cleared cache beforehand.

Refreshed on the dot at 7PM, clicked through the add to cart, had the code in clipboard and paypal already logged in, quickly pasted code and smashed place orderโ€ฆgot very lucky I suppose

Followed Limaa's advice of logging out/in from ebay beforehand to ensure no funny business with the code

Thanks a lot LiMaa, great end to the year after the absolute shit-show that has been the GPU launches

    • +1

No worries, smart move. Well at least we now have monitors for when the 3080 and 3070 are in abundance.

      • +1

I didn't realise that we should have logged out and back in ยฏ_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ . oh well, still managed to get one. :) Thanks so much LiMaa!

        • I THINK it's also worth waiting for the clock to tick over & refresh once.

    • +1

got a pm about bots too. Did the exact same thing. Refreshed login, paypal 1 click, address check, copied Code and F5 at the helm.

    • +1

I mean I just refreshed from 6:58 and it appeared and clicked it, ebay wasnt even lagging

      maybe i got lucky

      • mine appeared right after the time ticked over to 7pm

    • +2

I wasn't aware of the log out trick to clear cache..
I also had a half dozen other eBay tabs open from shopping (foolish in hindsight) but I also refreshed once on the dot at 7pm & got one in 10-15 seconds with PayPal.
At around 6:57pm I had been refreshing multiple times & noticed it was causing lag so decided to wait. I think spamming refresh is a bad idea.

  • +1

Managed to get one! Thanks for posting the deal LiMaaa!

  • Thanks to Limaaa! Managed to snag one of the DGF

    • Awesome. Sleet deal.

  • Wow, what a rush! I managed to buy 2 in separate transactions because the browser crashed :| Cancelled 1 so hopefully it goes to someone here!

    • +2

how did you manage to order two in seperate transactions? I didn't even have time to buy one…

      • +2

Probably Ultrafast NBN & a $3000+ pc with no browsers or programs running.

  • -1

    Never mind.

  • +1

so LiMaaa, serious question now, when will that 3 years warranty kicks in? I assume once the monitor is delivered and not from today, right?

    • I noted the warranty was mentioned in the eBay description. Do I need to register the product with Dell when it arrives? Screen cap or save anything particular, proof of purchase, etc?
Warranty and no bright pixel guarantee was my main reason for the purchase.
Stuck green pixel right in the middle of my LG is only mitigated by its terrible viewing angle, lol…

      • +1

You can register the service tag via Dell for easy checking of remaining warranty or claiming if any issues arise.

    • +4

The warranty begins once product is marked delivered. Wouldn't be fair otherwise considering some shipping ETA's.

  • @LiMaaa any chance of adding some more units in for the deal?

    • I wouldn't mind waiting until Feb for one!

      • New year new possiblities! ^-^

        • Hoping 200 units for AW3821DW

          • +1

            @dtrax: Let's go for 500 ;)

        • I can wait for S2721DGF to be same or lower price but my time limit is 6 months.

    • Likely not :'(

  • Cheers for the deal Lima!
Any idea when we will know a shipping date?
    Too pumped to wait hahah

    • Same here! Mine processed at 19:00:22, hoping this is early enough for pre-christmas post.

    • I can't tell you specifically, about 150 will get it pre Xmas, the rest through late Dec and early Jan.

  • Any deals on the 27' QHD IPS 75hz coming soon?

    • +2

Been and gone for BF I believe

  • Is the stock allocated to you in the cart? Or depends on who completed the transaction first of there is one in stock and 2 people have it in their cart and trying to pay

    • +1

It's who completed first. We have a small buffer of units to account for exact same time processing of cart.

  • I own 2 old old BenQ 1080p monitors. This will be the first time going above that…..I'm nervous. Will my mind be blown? How about my socks? Better question; was I one of the first 150 that will get it in December?

    • Your mind will absolutely be blown.

  • +2

Finally managed to snag one of these! Hopefully the one I ordered previously will make it here in December to test out.

I'm seeing some people talking about bots/missing out - here's a trick that I usually do.

Open this page here to keep track of what time the eBay site itself currently is

Keep refreshing it until it hits about 15 seconds before the designated start time of any of these flash deals

Go the the product page (or if you're after really popular items like AirPods and have them added to your cart - go to your checkout page where you missed out on getting it in a previous batch), keep hitting refresh till the buttons to buy appear. If you're doing it from your check out where you already have the item added, just keep spamming the Pay button until it allocates you stock (this is what I did for the $99 AirPods today).

  • +2

I managed to get one on my phone while at work. I had the code already copied, made sure my debit card was already on my eBay account, refreshed the page right at 6:00pm, added to cart, went to checkout pasted in the code, and bought it. I didn't do it particularly fast and I still managed to get a copy. I'm not sure how a lot of people didn't manage to get one even when prepared, guess I got lucky?

    • +1

LiMaaa has been giving tips throughout the week on how to maximise your chances of you getting one, some people may have missed that. If I didn't have two different browsers running, fresh logins to ebay, credit card details saved and tried to use paypal I probably would have missed out. I was stressing enough when my discount code somehow didn't paste.

  • Sorry, stupid question: when it says

    When will item(s) be shipped?
S2721DGF ETA: between 18 December - 14 Jan (or sooner).

Is that estimated time it'll get to me or sent out from Dell?

    • +2

      to you.

  • +2

Finally got one lads…altho my gf and I got into a fight about it but hey…wurf I guess?

    • Worth, wait until she sees it and uses it, she'll want one ;)

    • Nice one mate, I also got into a fight about and we both secured one each!! Definitely wurf.

  • Skipped this one, praying to the deal gods for EOFY next year.

  • -1

I had ebay and afterpay all open and ready, on my laptop, while in the middle of a big team dinner at a restaurant, tried to buy the S2721DGF and it was sold out in less than a minute, and I couldn't check out… so sad.

What sort of a world is this where black friday discounts and deals don't matter because everything is out of stock immediately? What's the point?

    • +14

I guess it's not an issue of qty, but an issue of the deal being too good. 1100 units sold out in 1 Min, had the price been higher it probably would have lasted longer, but I'm keen on getting you guys amazing deals not average ones.

  • +4

I was busting to do a dump , ended up grabbing one siting on the loo , I was super happy to finally get this monitor . Waited ages for a deal like this

    • Upvote for โ€busting to do a dumpโ€ especially as I had diarrhoea most of the week. How was it?
I'm on the throne right now!

  • Will S2721DGF get a restock over the weekend? Great screen and just saw this deal fingers crossed

How many units each day will be listed?

    • +1

Nope if you expecting a deal. Next year for that otherwise regular price

      • Guess I have to wait until the boxing day sale, hopefully they will run this one again as it's exactly what I've been looking for

        S2721DGF 27" 165hz Gaming Monitor @ $469.60

        • Boxing day 2021 might see that price. But nothign this year again. 2.5k units coming next year

  • Thanks OP

  • +1

Anyone else think this 360hz monitor is a steal? 100 units, woulda thought this would sell out pretty fast. Happy to cop one

    • +1

Yeh I think it's great, I'm surprised it didn't sell out quicker. I think it's a niche market rn, once more you tubers cover the benefits of higher refresh or promote these specs we'll see more interest.

  • Can anyone post a screenshot or an image of the reduced price of the 2721DGF at checkout or invoice to help out those who want to claim price protection?
    Thanks in advance!

    • +4
      • Thank you very much Clintyip! You da best!

Glad you were able to snag one too, its a great monitor:)

        • Were you able to claim price protection? Mine was declined on the basis the monitor came from overseas

  • +2

I'd love to know what unit number my purchase of the DGF was, because I swear I was fumbling around with my coupons and loggin into afterpay for about 2.5 mins.

Anyway, so excited to have my first desktop gaming monitor. Thanks peeps! I've only ever been console and laptop.

    • Awesome, you'll love it.

  • Any more stock of the Alienware monitor for Cyber Monday?

    • +1

We plan to do more aw 38" deals in the future, but nothing specified right now.

  • +2

Pretty happy, got an AW3821DW for me and two S2721DGF for the kids. Xmas done.

I was not expecting the AW3821DW to go in 2mins, I thought at least 5-15mins

  • Does anyone please have a screenshot of S2721DGF showing the $469.60 price?

    • +2

      Already been provided here

  • I'm still so filthy I missed this. Set alarm 5 mins before, then somehow lost 10 mins only to be 5 mins late :(

    • +2

To quote the OP, "I hope in the new year to get a 2500 unit deal. But this is all for today."

  • +1

Hey @LiMaaa, thanks for posting this up. I've been eyeing off the LG 38" high refresh panels for the last few months (as the LG OLED downstairs has ruined my current ultrawide for picture quality, lol), but LG+Acer were taking the piss with the $2.5k-$3k their models have been at, so securing the Alienware version for $1800 was great!

Somewhat surprised I secured one though, with how fast they went, plus the fact I was quite drunk at the time at a work game night > <.Its an odd feeling spending $2k whilst smiggity.

    Again, cheers!

    • +2

Haha, looks like the stars aligned in your favour. Glad you got one. Please give us some feedback when you receive it as it looks like a really cool product.

  • +1

I see that not all units of AW2721D are sold, and the price has gone back to AU $1,349.00 instead of $1079.20, is this normal?

edit: coupon code doesn't work either :C

edit: switched to ebay mobile and now it works, just grabbed one :D

    • +1

Ebay is weird, but yes the deal is still active.

  • +1

@LiMaaa What happens to the orders that were cancelled as per this thread? Are they just going to be processed later after the deal is over?

    • I'm not sure I understand the question. If they're cancelled, that's it.

      • I meant out of the 100 stock, you had some cancellations. Any chance of those selling or that's it?

        • +1

I doubt anyone would be silly enough to cancel their AW38 order …

        • There would be no fair way for us to relist the cancellations to those who missed out and wanted one so the stock just goes toward filling orders from other avenues to help with some of the extended shipping times non deal goers are facing. There was only a very small percentage of cancellations anyway.

  • -3

surely if the 27 inch monitor is really good, whats preventing people from buying it from dell with a discount?

    https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721โ€ฆ

i know price isnt similar to this deal, but if you really really want this monitor, then whats preventing buying it for extra dollars…

is $169 difference really is too much if you really want the monitor that bad?

    • +2

Ofc some wouldn't mind, but this is Ozbargain ;)

    • Ozbargain license is pending a revoke.

  • +1

Are you able to tell us when the AW3821DW are going to list on the DELL official website?

    • December 2nd, tomorrow is the official launch day!

      • Thanks LiMaaa

  • +2

When we all receive it, then it will initiate the 30 day policy whether we can change our mind (unopened) or we purchased it and it has been initiated already?

    Just making sure.

    • That's correct, not from shipping date, but delivered date!

  • +2

For anyone still looking/interested. Not much, but every bit counts right!

    Coupon code: ?GDP1J5WN02V?C
    Discount: $10
    For purchases above: $100
    Valid until: 30 January 2021

  • +1

Missed out on a AW3821DW because I hit my CC limits.

Interested in one if anyone doesn't want theirs anymore.

  • Just letting everyone know that i got the AW3821DW 38" on custom order today by asking Dell through 'contact seller'. Won't come till Jan though but at least i got the discounted price.

    • i just sent them a message. fingers crossed.

  • When will the AW2521H 360Hz be listed on the Dell official website? I have a few Dell discount codes I would like to stack…

    • +1

      I think today at noon.

    • What codes do you have? Seems they're listed now.

      • The Dell advantage one time codes, its 5% of your previous order total

  • +7

I was able to get the AW3821DW for $1777.83 from the Dell website by stacking the codes AUAFFILIATES15%OFF 15% and LOVEKEANU for a further 7% off.

Shopback has cashback for 10% and a further $100 if you take up the challenge. Doubtful it will track however with these codes and comments in the other post.

    • Thanks for that! I was almost ready to accept just the AUAFFILIATES15%OFF price, but locked it in with the LOVEKEANU. You're breathtaking!

    • I dont think shopback (10% and also $100 bonus) will be valid if you used unapproved coupon codes. no harm trying though!

      • +1

Dunno why your vote was downvoted. Its actually helpful. Cashrewards also don't let items track if codes not listed on their site are used .

        • +1

Yea $1777.83 still good price though. But I wouldn't bank on having the additional 10% SB and $100 bonus as calvinbui has also rightly pointed out :)

          • @chew_chew: Update: I can now see that two transactions tracked to Shopback under the 2% offer they had.

This means that $35 cashback on this item may pull through, bringing the item to $1763.22 total spend

If thats what it comes down to then I'll just keep it.

  • I'm actually a bit annoyed now lol.. I just ordered through ebay yesterday. I'm not sure if the 2% cashback will track, but if it doesn't then its going to be $20 or so more expensive ordering through eBay than ordering direct. @LiMaaa do you know much about what my options are?

    • Same … interested to see the response on this ๐Ÿค”

    • Yep, the fact that you can buy it cheaper from Dell 3 days after Black Friday defeats the purpose of the event. Those who scored one planned ahead to ensure they secure a unit. It's like you studied really hard to score 85%+ to get a high distinction but a few days later, the teacher decided to drop the cut-off to 75%, and all of a sudden you start questioning yourself whether it was all worth it to put in the extra work. Don't really care about the $30 difference, just slightly disappoited.

  • AW3821DW is actually even cheaper through dell directly.

Works out to be $1600 with the AUAFFILIATES15%OFF and LOVEKEANU codes, with shopback 10%.

ETA is next week according to the sales rep.

Cancelling my ebay order, another $200 saved lol

    • +2

Not eligible for ShopBack; these codes are not listed.

    • +1

I don't think the cashback works when its purchased directly with codes not listed though. Just double check with CB first as I could be wrong.

      • That's unfortunate. Now I have to decide which to cancel lol.

The dell website one has already given me a delivery date of 7 Dec 2020.

        • Keep both and stack?

        • Clarify if that is a realistic deadline. If it is then keep it. Mine won't be in till lat Dec/ early Jan (double troubl)

          • @[Deactivated]: Already done. Order number with approximate packing date (tomorrow) to be sent out.

            • @Kentrolla: Shit…. i haven't heard back from Dell via ebay today. They've had a glimpse into my (in)sanity

              • @[Deactivated]: It's pretty disappointing that those who purchased through Dell end up getting it cheaper and sooner than those who were 'lucky' enough to snag one on Ebay.

                • @HereForBargains: @liMaa can you chime in here and let me know if this is the case. In my opinion its a (profanity) wrought if it is

  • @LiMaaa : are chance of additional warranty or something to sweeten the deal for the lucky(?) 100…?

    • +2

That moment when you paid more and have a (placeholder) ETA that's later than Dell's website :(

      • Yeah I'm thinking of cancelling the ebay one. At least I've got a date. The rep told me it'll be delivered by the 7th or earlier.

        • +1

The Alienware from this deal are all expected to be delivered within Dec, likely earlier than later. Any delivery ETA from Dell site regarding aw launch products is likely the same as ours. :)

          • @LiMaaa: He's talking about the one on the Dell website with the 2 coupons.

I don't mind whichever deal, ebay or Dell directly, whatever gets here the quickest lol

      • What are you referring to, can you link me?

    • No, additional warranty costs and can't be added after purchase iirc.

  • +2

Update: To those reaching out regarding the 38" on the Dell site. Yes it's about $20 cheaper than deal, coupons were meant to expire before launch but have been extended.

Bear in mind those thinking of grabbing that deal, the shipping will likely be Jan or later whilst the shipping from this deal is as follows:

70% of AW38 units should reach you guys within 1-2 weeks. All units should be shipped before Xmas.

Personally, I would pay 20 more to receive my product potentially 3-4 weeks earlier. Cheers.

    • -1

How? I don't see any update from dell ebay about that?

I checked the status: Estimated delivery Mon, 14 Dec - Mon, 21 Dec

      But no tracking number?

      • +2

These are generic eta, the information I have provided you is more viable. As I said most should get it quite soon. Tracking isn't provided until the item is shipped.

  • -2

Thanks for the update LiMaaa. Most of us spent a lot of time prepping for that Black Fri deal and putting off other purchases in favor of Dell. Any chance Dell can add some further value to the initial 100? Maybe some other Alienware gear for the effort? I don't think we can count on logistical advantage for early purchase given how much the pandemic has screwed delivery timelines this year. Would be great to see some loyalty here.

    • -2

Not only their current deal is $20 less, they will also receive a 5% advantage coupon that makes their deal ~$100 cheaper in value.

    • +1

I'm not sure about adding value? There is nothing to compensate for. This is a deal, there is a slightly cheaper deal with about 3-4 weeks longer shipping times. If you prefer that you're welcome to jump on that deal. Shipping for my deals is relatively good, regardless of pandemic.

      • +3

If you jump onto the "Dell Alienware AW2721D and AW3821DW" forum post conversation over on Whirlpool, you'll see evidence of a lot of people confirming that the Dell direct deal will be delivered faster than your Ebay deal, with the added bonus of it being cheaper with benefits associated by buying direct. They are actively cancelling the Ebay order and rebuying direct with the help of Dell who are asking for the Ebay order reference numbers.

      • +2

Except that is not the case. Anyone ordering through the Dell website are getting their monitors shipped the next day and delivered and here I am 1 week later with nothing yet being sent out.

        • +6

I'm looking into this bear with me guys. If this is the case I'll see if I can do something to sweeten it up. :)

          • +2

@LiMaaa: In all fairness, I'm happy to pay more to upgrade my shipping to get the monitor expedited asap.

          • @LiMaaa: Thanks LiMaaa, please let us know how you go.

  • -8

That just makes me want to cancel my initial order regardless of the prospect of getting a new cheaper order later. Out of principal. LiMaaa, please balance it out if you can.

    • +9

Do you do that to every single deal you buy out of 'principal'. There are countless times deals are posted for cheaper on ozbargain days later but the sense of entitlement for some is astounding, as if companies owe you something.

Some of you need to try working on retail and customer service and see what it's like.

For the record, Limaaa has been amazing throughout all the deals and a very responsive and helpful rep.

      • Aw thanks sleet, you're so sweet haha :)

      • -3

First of all I totally agree that Limaaa has been awesome!
Iโ€™m not asking for free stuff or whatever, but I disagree with your sense of entitlement comment. Itโ€™s about setting expectations. If a customer was told or lead to believe they were getting the best deal they could get before Xmas then 6 days later something better comes along by the same company, how do you think the customer is gonna feel?

        • +1

Define better though? We had a teaser qty 5 or so days prior to launch at a great price with awesome shipping times.

This new deal is 20 odd dollars cheaper with significantly longer shipping times. If anything it's awesome to see Dell offering a launch product at a discounted price again, but that deal likely won't ship by Xmas anyway, whilst ours will. It's really just a matter of preference. If the discounts were substantial in comparison I'd understand, but they're really not, and I think the snappy shipping and receiving your product before Xmas far outweighs the saving. That's just my opinion though.

          • @LiMaaa: Letโ€™s see I guess, I suspect some people who got the other deal might get theirs around the same time as ours. Unless you are staying dell are only shipping 100 before Xmas, this is ozbargin :) $20 is $20 lol

            • +1

@bowtiehoon: Haha fair enough. Yeh I'm curious to see. Let me know when you get yours. ^^

              • @LiMaaa: We are working to ship your order as quickly as possible. The delivery date for your order to arrive has been updated to dec. 14, 2020.
                missed 2nd week by this -> <- much…

            • @bowtiehoon: Some people who ordered through the website have had their delivered today…

          • @LiMaaa: Do eBay orders also get dell advantage coupon? If we donโ€™t, the new deal is $20 + 5% of the order cheaper.

            • @Dentom:

the new deal is $20 + 5% of the order cheaper

what S2721DGF new deal is cheaper than Black Friday? I've never seen one.

  • +1

Big shout-out to LiMaaa - for some reason eBay ate my order, I contacted eBay, they said "too bad" - I reached out to LiMaaa and he was able to score me one for the same sale price as it was on Friday.

Thanks LiMaaa for an awesome job :) <3

    • +3

Ebay can be a glitchy nightmare. Glad we resolved your issue. :)

  • Following all the shens on delivery date just confuses me, the only thing I really want to know - possibility of delivery before the 10th for the AW38? (Cyberpunk yo).

    • +1

As mentioned previously 70% of you guys who ordered AW38 can expect it by the 7th - 14th. So fingers crossed.

      • +1

Well I hope that comes down to purchase order, as my drunk ass somehow was still 16th cab off the rank :P. Thanks for the update though.

      • Any estimate for the AW2721D? Given it hasn't shipped yet I'd say there's zero chance of arriving by the 10th to me if via AusPost.

      • Just had confirmation from people I know that people who ordered directly from Dell are getting theirs shipped today, getting it earlier and cheaper….

Dell's disconnect with their Ebay store is shocking, I can't even get them to look at it because they tell me to contact Ebay….

Obviously nothing on you LiMaaa, Dell has really been shocking in this instance

Edit: Someone just had theirs delivered…. this is ridiculous

        • Dell shipped using StarTrack Express while the Ebay listing says "Standard Parcel Delivery" just to rub it in further.

          • @Figo10: Have you tried contacting them, every time I ring with an Ebay order number they just essentially tell me to fob off

            • @cille745: Nope. After my 3080 and Reverb G2 ordering experiences I'm just going to sit back and hope it shows up some day ๐Ÿ˜‚

          • +2

@Figo10: I think StarTrack Express will be used even if the Ebay listing says Standard Parcel Delivery. I got the cheaper 4K monitor from another LiMaaaโ€™s deal and it is shipped using StarTrack Express even the listing said Standard Parcel Delivery. The monitors in this deal are more expensive so they will likely use StarTrack too.

            • @FrugalNotStingy: I ordered that monitor as well on that deal and haven't received that one either :(

        • I was happy with the price when I bought it so the $20 off that some other people got this week doesn't bother me too much.

It does leave a bit of a bad taste though that someone can order several days later on the 2nd of Dec and receive their monitor today. Well done to that whirlpooler though, I'll just hope I get mine next week at some point.

        • +3

This is laughable. We were led to believe there were only 100 units and we all competed to buy one. LiMaaa now says only 70% of the eBay orders will be shipped on time but people who purchased from Dell directly gets it earlier and faster? Instead of fulfilling Dell.com.au order, why not get the eBay orders filled first for those who put in the effort to score one.

$20 difference I donโ€™t care, but to score one under 45 seconds and to be the โ€œluckyโ€ 70% to get one โ€œon timeโ€. This is a pretty shitty deal for a Black Friday sale…

          • @Dentom: how do you know if you're one of the lucky 70%?

            • @cille745: You donโ€™t. But if it goes by the eBay unit sold history, the first 70 orders may get it on time.

          • +5

@Dentom: There were only 100 units at the time as it was pre launch. No, I didn't say only 70% will get it on time. I said..

70% should arrive in the 1st - 2nd week of Dec. And all aw monitors should be delivered within Dec

Optimistically before Xmas. I have been transparent with shipping times with the best knowledge I have, and I also stated I'd find out if deal orders are shipping slower and try sweeten it for you guys if that's the case

Try be patient for a resolve/more info before you start jumping to conclusions. ^^

            • +1

@LiMaaa: Thatโ€™s my bad. Itโ€™s hard to be optimistic when after launch units are shipped earlier than pre launch units. Like others have mentioned, I just hope Dell will have enough units to satisfy the pre launch now that they are rapidly shipping out sales from their direct website. I know this issue is out of your control and most of us are frustrated at the event and the disconnect between Dell and dell eBay. Thank you for finding ways to sweeten the deal. I look forward to hearing the outcome.

  • How accurate is the eBay estimated delivery date for the AW2721D? I usually don't shop on eBay so wanted to ask here :)

    • Deal eta is generally more accurate than ebay eta.

      • How about the eBay ETA for the s2721dgf; that one is accurate?
Does the tracking typically begin when it leaves Dell, or do they usually show up at the doorstep/post office?
        My ETA is Dec 23.
If possible, I'm keen to avoid having it locked up in a post office/collection point over xmas.

        • How about the eBay ETA for the s2721dgf; that one is accurate?

I think that is what LiMaaa just said:

Deal Dell ETA is generally more accurate than eBay ETA.

I think he/she meant to write Dell.

So your ETA of 23/12 if that is coming from eBay, most likely that wouldn't be accurate.

  • +6

I'm as disappointed as the others on here who got the AW3821DW ebay deal. I agree the $20 is neither here nor there, and would be worth it for getting the monitor before anyone else. The issue is we essentially ordered this monitor before those who were able to order it directly from the dell shop, and those ordering it from the dell shop are getting theirs shipped already. If we all knew a cheaper deal with quicker delivery was coming so soon, no one would have bought the eBay deal. Of course, those sort of things happen, but this is a brand spanking new model monitor we're talking about here, which appears to have high demand, and limited stock.

I'm already concerned that our deliveries will be later than otherwise would be, because stock which probably should have been sent to us first (first in first to receive) is going to others who ordered later.

I was the 8th successful buyer on the eBay deal (12 seconds!). Unfortunately for me, I've had a family issue come up and had to go away for a week or two, so wouldn't get to play with the monitor, if I had it, till end of next week at the earliest. But the point is, those who got the eBay deal (which was the only way to order the AW3821DW at the time, the first release of the monitor in Australia), are now wondering why have they been given less priority for shipping than those who ordered later and cheaper through Dell website directly, which leaves a bit of a sour taste.

I'm not blaming @LiMaaa for this, I'm sure out of LiMaaa's control. For those 100 who got the eBay deal, expecting to be the first in the country to get their hands on this monitor, to see other's receiving the monitor before us, it just doesn't feel good.

In saying all that, still trying to get my hands on an AORUS 3080 Xtreme to power this beast of a monitor……not having much luck with that either!

  • Just received an email saying my S2721QS order has been delayed and new ETA is Jan 22, 2021. Any one got same email like mine? TA!

    • Yep. many did

      • Right, I thought maybe because I live up north but sure, thanks for letting me know!

    • Same here, bought it for my current job, but will be finishing up at that point…

      • +1

Got my shipping notification. Mine is due in 2 days according to star track.

  • I got an email 2 hours ago saying sorry for the delay and my AW3821DW is scheduled to arrive dec 10. It has a link to the dell support site with order information and said it will ship Dec 8.

    • Got the same e-mail, same dates.

      • Assuming Sydney? my update was shipping 8th arrive by 15th. (Brisbane)

        • I'm in Canberra

  • My AW2721D was scanned by StarTrack in Sydney at 12.30PM today.
It was one of the first 10 orders from the AW2721D ebay deal. The Dell "delayed" email listed "Revised Ship Date": Dec 8, 2020, "Revised Delivery Date": Dec 14, 2020

    • How do you know which order # you were for the deal?

      • On desktop you can go to the eBay listing then click on "XX sold/XX available" and it will list all the orders with timestamps.

  • +2

My S2721DGF has been marked as shipped. Est: 13-20th!

    • +1

likewise. 14th - 23rd. The tracking number is a bit weird though, DELLORDERNO****. Not showing as valid currently but might do so once it's scanned.

      • +3

read the message they sent you on Ebay, its not sent at all, that just your order number. It will likely be in production like mine.

        • If that's the case, then I'll file a complaint with Ebay, Paypal and perhaps even the ACCC, then leave negative feedback. They can't mark it as sent if it's not, as that would be completely misleading and fraud.

          • @Genesisfury: did you win the case?

    • +1

Mine too! Do you know what courier company they use? The tracking I've got is "DELLORDERXXXX"

  • Mine was just shipped out too (Tracking ID provided)

    Estimated delivery Monday 14 Dec 2020 - Monday 21 Dec 2020

    • +1

Don't get your hopes up, but check your eBay tracking number against the Dell's tracking website that was in the eBay order update email.

      https://www.dell.com/support/orders/au/en/audhs1

Mine's not due until mid January. Remove the "DELLORDERNO" portion.

      • +2

I think you guys should trust Limaaa and the dates on this post. A few people have quoted that the dell estimated days are way ahead but their order arrived early - ordering via ebay deals.

My DGF got 'sent' today too.

        • i hope this is true too - im in the same boat

        • i think some got lucky with getting available stock and some got unlucky (like me) and have to wait for them to make more (dell tracking for me says 'in production') :(

  • +1

    My AW3821DW has shipped today.

    • Correction. I thought it had shipped, but clearly it hasn't.

  • +1

Just received an email saying my S2721DGF "has been processed and it will be on its way to you soon". Ebay says estimated delivery is Dec14 - Dec21.

The Dell tracking site says its in production (Dec 5) and Estimated Ship Date: Jan 25, 2021.

    Which one should I believe?

    • I also just got this email and I am also confused haha.

  • Mine sent today too (S2721DGF)

  • +4

    S2721DGF

Ebay says "your order is on it's way", estimated delivery Dec 14th.

Dell says "in production", estimated delivery Jan 17th.

Dell's Global Shipping portal says "having temporary out of stock of your item at our local warehouse"

Which one am I suppose to believe?

  • Oof, like others i got an estimated ship date for the S2721DGF of 25th Jan on the Dell website. So much for S2721DGF ETA: between 18 December - 14 Jan (or sooner)

  • +1

My S2731DGF shows delivery of Jan 29…

  • Estimated Ship Date: Jan 25, 2021.

  • -1

Hope they ship out based on first in first serve on purchase, I'm amongst the first 10. Hope Limaaa's guarantee of first 150 before 25th still applies irrespective of dates given by dell/ebay or couriers :D

    • How do you check your position, purchase history only shows last 100 of 1000 sold

      • At the time of purchase completion, quickly refreshed the page out of curiosity to see how many have been sold.

        • I see, since you're in the top 10, does your tracking from Dell also say "In production" or something else?

          • @Hellcrusher3304: Unfortunately still "In Production" :(

            • @teeskiies: Ditto. Purchased within 20 seconds of the deal going live, but still listed as "in production" with a Jan. 17th estimated delivery date :\

  • I also got a notification on eBay for my S2721DGF with a "DELLORDERNO" today as well.
Went on the Dell order site and mine is expected to be shipped on 12th Jan.
Not sure what number I was when I purchased, but I completed my order within the minute it hit 4pm…

  • +1

Hey everyone, LiMaaa gave an update about dell shipping dates in another thread (it applies to us too)

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582646?page=8#comment-9770โ€ฆ

    • Somewhat, it doesn't apply to AW38 buyers, I'll update here shortly.

  • I ordered the AW3821DW through Dell eBay. A week and a half later and it still hasn't shipped.

Kind of stings that orders made five days later on the Dell website have already been fulfilled and ended up being $20 cheaper than this Black Friday deal.

  • +29

Update: S2721DGF and non 38" Alienware monitors can ignore delayed eta shipping notices. I've been informed by Dell these units are on track to meet expected delivery ETA in OP.

AW3821DW customers. I've always tried to be as transparent as I can regarding shipping, because as a customer myself I know an informed purchase is a good purchase. Unfortunately Dell had stock reserved for this deal and it was mistakenly used to fill those web orders that had fast shipping. As soon as this was realised, it was halted which is why web orders for this model now have a 30 day shipping time. 60 units were recovered for this deal, but basically you are looking at shipping delays. I've been informed this may only add a couple of days to eta, but I'm waiting on a more solid time frame to update you guys with.

In the meantime Dell has informed me they understand the frustration of the slightly cheaper web price and the delay in shipping and want to acknowledge they value you as customers and are offering all aw38" customers the option to cancel their orders should they wish to or keep their orders and receive a complimentary aw610m wireless gaming mouse.

For those wishing to cancel their orders please dm me with order number. For those wishing to keep their purchase there is nothing you need to do. Thanks for your patience, any questions, just ask.

*Complimentary mouse will be shipped in Jan to all 38" customers who chose to keep their orders.

    • +4

I wouldn't be opposed to Dell sending the sheriffs over to confiscate monitors off anyone that received them before the ebay deal customers if that is an option?

Thanks for advocating for us LiMaaa, tough situation but I hope most people will be satisfied with this outcome.

      • +3

Haha not a chance. You're not getting mine off me lol

    • +6

Thanks LiMaaa - really appreciate the honesty and the effort to rectify.

    • +3

Thanks Limaa, you have truely gone above and beyond! I honestly was expecting nothing and was just voicing my thoughts.

Happy to relay my appreciation and thanks for your amazing work here to your superiors if there is a way to :)

      • No superiors as of yet, as not employed… Yet hehe, but Dell does pay attention to these deals so I'm sure your praise will be well received. Thank you.

    • +2

      Thanks LiMaaa ๐Ÿ‘

    • +2

This is top notch customer service right here!

    • +2

wow thanks for this! yeah it's a bit frustrating that we did not get it as soon as the Dell website orders but we really appreciate this gesture!

    • +1

Well, I am holding onto my eBay order. Thanks LiMaaa for being open and transparent about this, and look forward to receiving the monitor and mouse, hopefully before xmas!

    • +1

LiMaaa, this transparency and good will offer makes all the difference to me. Sticking with my order.

    • +1

Are you referring to the email sent out with our order number? I went to the dell website and it has estimated ship date 25th jan and estimated delivery as 30th january. This had me a little annoyed/worried until I saw this post. I bought the S2721DGF. If delivery is still on track for before xmas, why don't dell update the eta shipping dates on the orders?

      • +1

Let's not even question the Dell automated eta, it's a global update system and isn't always accurate. Just to specify in case you're confused the S2721DGF eta as specified in OP has always been…

S2721DGF ETA: between 18 December - 14 Jan (or sooner).

So there is a chance you could get it 14th of Jan, but based on past deals I'd say sooner and you can likely ignore 30th Jan automated eta that was sent out. :)

        • Thanks for the reply and letting me know, it's great appreciated! ๐Ÿ‘

        • Hey LiMaaa, I ordered on the 12th of November at the previous deal on Dell website. It still says the estimated shipping date is by January 6th. Is there a chance that people here would receive it prior to me who ordered off the ebay dell cause that would be a bit of a gut punch given the almost $100 difference. Thank you.

          • @LINK91: I'm not sure I understand, can you link the ozb deal you purchased from?

            • @LiMaaa: Um, sorry. That was terribly formatted. I ordered it off this deal :
              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/579791
Basically there wouldn't be a chance that people who ordered off the ebay deal would get the monitor prior to us who ordered on the 12th of November? I'm guessing it goes by order number sequence so that shouldn't happen.

              • +2

@LINK91: They may. We started organising this deal and units for it early November in advanced preparation. I try to do this often for my deals which is what allows us to *generally have a set shipping ETA.

I explained this in another comment on one of my deals somewhere. We basically pre order units for our deal, secure them, when they're au inbound we pop up a deal (which is why we generally have unit limits for the deal).

Lots of planning, lots of fun haha.

    • -9

I'm the only person in Australia to order 2 monitors and I was in the first 20 or so to order via your ebay deal, but my order has not shipped. Can you give update on Order 876443342?

Can you also confirm I will be receiving two mice? Because there would be no reason I would receive a lesser deal than every single other order is there? Thanks.

      • +4

I'll give you an update. I threw up after reading your post.

        • +3

          Quality. 10/10. Thanks.

        • +1

I see you too have tried the new Bundaberg Ice break. ๐Ÿคฎ

    • +1

Love your work LiMaaa, thanks for keeping customers in the loop!

    • -1

Find this update hard to believe. There's still more people on Whirlpool getting their direct orders shipped who have ordered significantly later than those who have ordered here (ordered 4th Dec, shipped today).

I don't understand how its so difficult to fulfil the orders that were placed first. This has been a pathetic effort and dreadful customer service. I haven't ordered anything Dell for a while, but will think long and hard about it before doing it again.

      • +5

It's up to you wether you believe it or not, I'm just being as transparent as possible with the information I have. The internal workings of a large company with many departments means there may sometimes be miscommunications which lead to hiccups. The fact you'll likely get your orders within the original eta specified in OP, whilst not diminishing the frustration of seeing someone get it before you(which is totally understandable), really doesn't warrant your choice of words, imo anyway.

Please see AW3821DW new shipping update

        Cheers.

    • +1

Hey LiMaaa - Is there an update on this shipping? I was one of the first half of orders of the S2721DGF from this deal as far as I am aware and still not shipped. Given the original ETA and with my existing monitor finally dying yesterday i'm getting pretty keen for this to arrive.

    • Hi LiMaaa,

as someone who ordered the AW38, is there any update about the complimentary mice? Is there an statement when the mouse will be shipped?

      Thanks and cheers,
      Daniel

  • +1

got notification monitors been posted already hmmm.

  • No notification eBay AW38 has been posted yet, supposed to go out yesterday, and be delivered tomorrow. Cleaned my desk off and everything last night in anticipation, lol!

    • +1

As mentioned in my update, there may be some delays regarding the 38", hence the mouse freebie. I will be trying to get an accurate eta within a couple of days and I'll update all of you as soon as I can. Your desk appreciates you. :)

      • -2

I'll be honest, the kick in the pants is that people as recently as the 4th have had monitors delivered at this point. I don't overly care about the small price difference, and I really don't care about a wireless mouse I likely can't use (arthritis), but gotta think that Dell (recognizing you aren't directly an employee) would stop selling the damn things until eBay shens were sorted!

        • +2

I do understand your and others frustration, but honestly accidents happen. Acknowledgement and a significant attempt to rectify the situation is what I believe is important and I feel that's been achieved here with on track shipping to meet original eta and the bonus gear.

          New update to AW3821DW shipping

  • Got requested by Dell to update my shipping address as I had originally given a post office address. They said they'd "receive [my] Dell Order Number through eBay soon"; that was 5 days ago. Should I be concerned? Am I essentially end of the line after the shipping address mishap?

    • +1

I don't think you're at the end of the line, they are sorting new valid shipping ETA for 38" purchases through this deal. Perhaps wait for me to update here in a couple days and then see if something changes. If no response by Monday, shoot me a dm and we'll make sure they have your correct shipping address. :)

      • just on a similar note, is it possible to change the shipping address if I'm not going to be at that location during the ETA?

        • Provided your order hasn't shipped you can contact seller and request to change your shipping address and see if they can sort you out.

  • +12

Updated ETA for AW3821DW: I've been informed deliveries will start being received from the 12th onwards and everyone should receive their monitor before Xmas. So we should be good to meet original OP eta, but I do know hiccups are frustrating and I appreciate the patience most of you have displayed. If anyone doesn't get their 38" by the 23rd please dm me your order number and I'll do my best to help you resolve it. Merry Xmas ๐ŸŽ„

Users on whirlpool reporting that orders placed online via dell site are still being shipped even today. Also ebay orders made after mine (which is currently 7th on the list) are being shipped. Seems to be no sense of first in, first to be shipped :-(. I believe you're doing everything you can LiMaaa, but what Dell seem to be telling you does not seem to match the facts (eg stop shipping Dell site orders).

Someone also reported receiving their ebay order with a free keyboard and mouse. Looks like a total mess.

Anyway, I will be patient. Worth waiting so I don't have to pay for for Acer X38P….

      • +2

With the keyboard and mouse thing, I think that user clarified later on that he purchased those to match his setup " but also bought the AW510K keyboard and AW610M mouse in Lunar Light".

Back to refreshing the order page I go, wondering when I will become the next chosen one blessed by the Dell warehouse gods.

        • -1

Ah okay, missed that explanation. Cheers.

      • +2

I had 5 customers from this deal dm me today letting me know their 38" arrived. So it's not just website orders being prioritised haha. Good to see you guys are getting them.

        • +1

FYI, I placed my 38โ€ order via the black Friday eBay offer and received my StarTrack shipping details today, hopefully arrives tomorrow.. thanks for the continuous updates LiMaaa

    • +2

What about the 27" DGF? Do they say it will most likely come before Christmas? I keep hearing of people getting their shipping notifications but I haven't yet. Should I be worried?

      • +1

LiMaa says most should ship between 18 December - 14 Jan

On the other hand, my ETA given in the dell system is
Estimated Ship Date: Jan 25, 2021
Estimated to Arrive Jan 29, 2021

        Should I be worried?

depends do you need it before Christmas, no doubt Dell will deliver on all orders eventually

  • +4

I was in the first 10 buyers on eBay for the 38 and still not shipped. Looks like every other buyer got priority.

  • Hi LiMaaa,

I'm sorry in advance for the direct contact but I think you may be the best person to speak to regarding this specific monitor. I've tried sending through a direct message however I am throttled for being a newly registered user for less than 1 day.

Unfortunately I missed out on the 1,000 unit sale that occurred just before the Black Friday sale (which I also missed out on might I add, spewing).

I chose to contact you directly as I wanted to know whether you had any idea on whether there will be another sale on for this monitor? I currently have a 24.5-inch Acer Predator XB241H that I want to sell and replace with the Dell monitor. I know I can get it for $743.06 with the coupon code 'LOVEKEANU' from the Dell website, however do you know if there are any other sales coming up?

Thanks for hearing me out and I hope to hear from you soon.

    • I definitely think we'll have deals early on in the new year, so it's up to you wether you can be patient or not. It'll be an upgrade from your current monitor. Hope you can nab one on next deal. ^^

      • Great news! Forgive my impatience, but an ETA on when in the New Year? Jan, Feb, Mar? Early, mid, late?

Yes, I really want this monitor, haha.

Thank you so much for the quick response.

        • No idea yet sorry. I'd think we'd do something in Jan. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž

          • @LiMaaa: No problem at all. Will it be advertised on the Dell website and/or here on OzBargain by you?

            • +1

@Prosperous: Best to subscribe to Lima - so when he posts something here, you'll get an email.

  • +1

Got an e-mail from Dell Overnight. Delivery date updated to 15th December. Though that's the third updated delivery date, so we'll see if it's third time lucky.

Still makes no sense to me why mine as one of the first 10 eBay orders, why mine would ship after later eBay orders, but I'll live. In the end, probably good since I've been away from home and back next week.

    • I got the same eta email. How do you know you're within the first 10?

      • +1

If you're logged into to eBay, open https://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&iteโ€ฆ

You will see when each order was made. If you were one of the "Lucky" ones, you'll see your full eBay userID. Just count up from the first purchase to your purchase.

        • Not sure where you are based but I got my delivery details I was 60th I think and my monitor despatched from sydney yesterday and is in Melbourne today.

          • @gunnerz: I'm in Canberra. I'm still just amazed that Dell isn't operating on a first in first to ship basis…unless I'm completely missing something. But, since I haven't been home for 1 1/2 weeks, makes the delay less painful.

            • @OzLocutus: In dellโ€™s defence ish, Iโ€™d imagine not going fifo would be to save shipping costs and or to simplify logistics. Bulk send to different areas would be cheaper and easier than doing it one by one individually…maybe, no idea lol

              • @bowtiehoon: I was thinking that, but then there's at least one person with a Canberra order on whirlpool whose had it shipped, so then that makes no sense. I'm just assuming I'm special for the moment. I know I'll get soon enough. I'm usually patient…but after the last 2 weeks I've had…would be nice to get home to a nice new monitor and get some gaming in…even if I still haven't got my hands on a 3080…

                • @OzLocutus: I'm based in Canberra too. Maybe both of ours will come in the same shipment lol

        • Wow thatโ€™s cool, Iโ€™m around the middle. Surprising, since I hesitated over spending so much money I thought I would be in the lower end of the 100…

    • +2

My 38" has missed the revised ship date again today. Oh well, hopefully before xmas.

  • +1

    AW3821DW just came. Thanks LiMaa

  • I also got an delivery update (2nd) tonight for my AW38 order. Now they are saying it will be send today and should arrive next week… lets see.

Quite disappointing, especially when its marked as sent a few days ago (and that other guys who ordered later already received it).I hope at least that Dell is choosing a proper carrier and not someone were you have to drive around the city when you missed the delivery.

    • Still not shipped…

  • +1

my 38โ€ just arrived, Brisbane. Received shipping details yesterday. Thanks LiMaa

    • Awesome. Xmas came early. Glad you guys are getting them.

      • Mine still hasn't been posted with no tracking details updated, it just says "in production". Xmas isn't coming early or even at all for some of us (monitor wise) when we were ALL led to believe it would. Not impressed.

        • Well in all fairness there is still time, many users have reported not having updated tracking and the monitor arriving. Which monitor are you waiting on?

          • @LiMaaa: Well that's just stupid. Is Dell really that useless that can't update a tracking number? I have seen small shops on Ebay that keep their customers informed better. I got the S2721DGF. My eta still has January 25th as the expected ship date. I realize it can be as late as 14th of January but hearing how heaps of people are getting their monitors already is rather annoying being one of the first buyers. I was refreshing and had it bought and paid for within about 30 seconds lol

  • +1

My 38 arrived today (Syd) - thanks LiMaaa ๐Ÿ‘Œ

    • +1

      Yarr. ^-^

  • +1

    I can't wait to get my monitors….

  • Hi guys,

I don't think the S2721DGF comes with DP cable correct? Any good deal on DP cable?

    • +2

It does come with HDMI and DP cable! :D

      • Awesome! Saved me a few bucks.

    • +1

Note it's only 1.8m long. Wasn't long enough to route through my monitor arm neatly.

  • Has anyone order for S2721DGF changed from Production(7th Dec) to shipping yet? I know LiMaaa's post says (S2721DGF ETA: between 18 December - 14 Jan (or sooner)).. Just counting the days …

    • Nothing has changed on the dell website. Still says late Jan for shipping :(

  • Anybody who ordered a s2721dgf get a star track confirmation yet?

    • Nope

      • I think if we dont get one in the next few days it'll be an early Jan shipment.

        • My shipping estimate is still in a few days

    • Nope. Has yours? Or have you heard of others getting that confirmation?

      • Nothing, but following the pattern of the 2721QS that I received…. The StarTrack order on the DELL website popped up to give a 5 day notice of it being delivered (varied on the post)

My thoughts are if you are in the pre-christmas shipment that LiMaaa eluded to, we will find out in the coming days, otherwise it'll be post New Year.

    • I still havent got mine from the sale before this bought on 11/11

  • Get a good night sleep AW3821DWers, we all have a big day tomorrow clicking refresh.

    Love #14

  • โ€žWe apologize for the additional delay.โ€œ

Revised timing is now the 21th December… thank you Dell. Then Iโ€™m already on vacation. I'm quite pissed right now. One company more on my blacklist.

    • Just got another email myself. Delayed until the 17th but I'm dubious as I've seen someone on whirlpool reporting the same delivery date for their non ebay order.

      • Same situation on my AW3821DW - another email and another delay, this time to 17th December.

Haven't been getting too worked up over but really hoping this time it's more accurate or at least arrives at some point this week since I'll be away visiting family from 21st over Christmas, which is going to make collection difficult. :/

        Hope others having better luck!!

        • Me too. In the first 10 people in Australia to buy it. Pretty shoddy treatment really.

  • My AW3821DW is now delayed to 17th December. Seriously this makes no sense whatsoever. They must have a monkey pulling out from a hat which orders to send to first, since I was one of the first 10 eBay orders, and some of the last eBay orders have been shipped/received. Seems to be the later you ordered, the more likely you've got it. A lot of us are early orders which still haven't received the monitor. How can Dell's logistics be so poor to re-calculate the delivery date so many times? Does make me question ordering anything directly from Dell again.

Delivery date has been updated three times now, 10th December, to 15th December, now 17th December.

I'm patient, but if it's not going to be delivered till the 24th, just tell me that now, then I'll be happy when it arrives one day early on the 23rd, rather than set expectations with these e-mails then keep pushing them back.

The only positive, people seem to love these monitors, so hopefully no issues when mine finally arrives.

    • I got the same email. Man imagine finding a dead pixel. Just praying to the screen gods to have a good one.

    • I was also in the first Quarter… seems to be โ€žlast in - first out"…

    • +1

Fingers crossed for fourth time lucky? Was hoping to have mine by xmas annual leave - the new new new delay may just make it.

The order of sending out orders does indeed seem randomly picked out of a hat, and it also appears as if more are receiving dell direct orders regardless of the 60 saved for the black Friday deal. Hopefully we manage to get them within LiMaaa's timeframe.

      • Nope… 5th time????

  • +1

So my S2721DGF updated to have been posted on the 7/12 which was a week ago. Tracking details says that tracking is provided but I cannot see where it is or any other details. Anyone else also getting this?

    • Have you checked the Dell website with the DELLORDERNO? as Ebay also said shipped for me on the 7th but Dell says its still in production. Check my comment above. 12/12/2020

    • I dont think that email actually means its been shipped. The wording is very unclear but likely they've just given you the Dell Order Number and that's it. It's probably yet to ship. Ask our lord and savour, LiMaaa. Maybe he will know.

    • If it's what I got, then your order is "on its way" which doesn't, contrary to first impressions, actually mean it has shipped.

  • +1

    Yay! Received my S2721QS 5 minutes ago!๐Ÿ˜

    • Received the product or the shipping details ?

      • The product. :)

  • +4

Just wanted to comment on the production delays.
It appears they are having some pretty bad issues with production.

Still waiting for a new working monitor to be sent to me from the End of Sept Lima deal.

Beware to S2721DGF buyers, check the screen for bright and dead pixels on arrival.
If it is DOA, it might be worth getting a refund rather than waiting like me just because I got the monitor at such a nice price.

You get what you pay for… XD

  • +2

After all that…dead pixel lol…oh well.

  • So, my AW3821DW has missed the 4th shipping date provided to me. Looking forward to my 4th "Your Dell Order is Delayed Again" e-mail.

@LiMaaa, oh holy Dell prophet, if I have done something to upset the Dell gods, I apologise! Please forgive me and deliver my monitor!

I now have a 3080 and wish it to power the beloved AW3821DW.

    • +1

what's the revised date now? I havent received the email yet but I am assuming this will happen since we're both in Canberra. :(

      • +1

        No revised date yet….

        • +2

If it's anything like the other times, the email will get sent out in the middle of the night. Starting to get pissed off now. Those who bought through Dell already got their screens and I'll be lucky to see mine this side of New Year's. I was irked by the delay but the only thing keeping me going was the continued promise of still getting it before Christmas. That seems unlikely now.

      • I'm also in Canberra and have missed yet another Dell provided shipping date.

        • Me too :(

    • +4

      Same here.. still not shipped.

Will be a niece 1 star review, slow delivery, bad communication and unreliable delivery dates. Lying company…

    • +4

I haven't seen anyone across here or whirlpool say they have received their monitor this week so my guess is they don't have any stock at all and are waiting for a shipment.

From the rush of successfully ordering the monitor to the disappointment of repeatedly being told one thing and the opposite happening. You could have been the first in the country to order this monitor and someone in the same suburb that ordered it 1 minute - 1 week later had seemingly a higher chance of getting it before you.

It is too aggravating to keep checking so I'll just keep an eye on my emails and get a pleasant surprise if it turns up before next year.

      • +5

I mean it's quite annoying that the monitor is marked as "sent" in eBay when this is clearly not the case. Then they'll give you a shipping date, failing to ship at the date mentioned, two days later sending an E-Mail that they are sorry, giving you a new date and again failing to deliver… sorry thatโ€™s just an embarrassment for a Global Player like Dell.

And I'm not talking about the fact that Orders that came in much later are already fulfilled. That's just the icing on the cake… at least I hope that we don't have the panel lottery with the Alienware Monitors…
