        $500 is pushing it for SGS2 today… $400-$500 is the optimistic range.

    By my experience with the previous 55 inch deal in WA, yes they will price match.

    I encourage you to call around and get the best prices you can then go to GG.

    $2799 is not a good price for this unit, this is the upgraded 6 series with wifi and browser, the 7 and 8 series are already out.

    This is a decent unit though.

  The link you posted was for an LED TV, where as this is LCD in the header. If that's a typo, can you please let us know?

  I still think this marginally qualifies as a bargain, but only if you're in the market for both devices.

    It's not a typo; MadMapMan just cut and paste the description from "The Good Guys" website…

    LED refers to the backlight method - It is STILL an LCD TV and it is thus quite correct to refer to it as an LCD TV as opposed to a plasma, OLED or CRT :-)
    To quote Samsung themselves; "Samsung Series 6 TV’s utilise LCD screens with LED edge lights."

    If you want to research further, just cut and paste into google ;-)

    BTW - I agree that a brand new, official Australian SGSII, with warranty, would be good for $400 ;-)

  VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH GOODGUYS
  I BOUGHT A 55' TV BEFORE,
  AND THE S2 NEED TO WAIT NEARLY 2 MONTH TO GET DELIVERY.
  (I bought at 20/10, and I can do nothing just waiting for, the terms and condition said you will get one before 15/12, I haven't got one yet, also, the term and condition said, if gg doesn't have enough stock, they can choose any other gift whatever worth $700)

  If anybody bought it now, you may need to wait until Feb next year to get the phone.
  and the phone might only worth $200 then.
