It sounded a good deal for a 34 inch. We need to look into the configuration for the product. 2K 144 Hz and 27 inch is the minimum requirement in my opinion. I did not buy a curved one, caused it would be bad for eyesight when doing office work not only game playing. As you said it certainly gives the best out of this system. Cheers!

        • +1

Thanks got one to pair with it

      • I was looking for this system after I purchased Samsung CRG9 49" :)

  • -1

@KeRRR Can you please confirm my order '19-06132-39248'? I was going to DM but couldn't as I am a new user.

I ordered it on Nov 26th and the expected delivery date is showing as 11th - 22nd December. Looks like a bargain.

    • Dunno if that's wise to put out there.

      • -2

Fortunately, this order number is incorrect. The actual number will be issued soon.

I would delete my comment but I can't ever since you replied to it.

  • Just wondering…

    1. Is the SSD likely to be a M.2 NVMe SSD or just a SATA one?

    2. I know it's not due for a week a the very earliest, but has anyone had an update on this?

      • Thank you!

Do you know if it has spare M.2 slots? Also, it has 2x3.5" HDD bays but does it have power/data cables to easily install more SATA SDD drives?

It also suggests that the 3080 has 3 x Display Port 1.4a and a HDMI 2.1 - What a deal this was!!!

        • Sorry I have no idea. But it says about room to upgrade

        • You mean 3070 not 3080.

        • I've watched some unboxing videos on youtube and I don't think there is another NVME slot. I have a spare 970 EVO plus so I just ordered a PCIE x4 nvme adaptor for it.

How long does it take to get your swap PC back?

I just bought a laptop from Black Friday Deal. But PC turns out to be faulty goods when I received on Tuesday. I contacted technical support and they gave me options for returning PC & refund OR returning & replacement. I chose a replacement.
One thing that really bothers me is that they also told me to wait at least three weeks to get the new PC back. It also depends on how fast they receive this faulty one back.

What heck! I have not had any pleasant time since I got the PC at the first, now I had to wait three weeks or more for the replacement. It looks I won't get it before Christmas. What have I done wrong? Made purchase I think. Could I call this bad service or I am still lucky for having this option?

    • +2

      What heck, indeed!

    • Did they tell you it was 3 weeks before or after you accepted a replacement?

      • To clarify the situation, they told me that they have reordered my laptop with their supplier today. ( I thought they should have it in stock or spare ones, they are a big tech company brand, reordered your own brand today from whom? )

It would take three weeks or more to get the product, then send it to me.
If they do not get the faulty laptop back in these three weeks, they would hold the new laptop when they receive until the day they get it, this is what I read from their email.

    • +1
      • Context helps a lot and I thought my mind reading skills was rubbish. 😆

    • I am still lucky

No doubt some customers are still waiting for delivery of Black Friday purchases….

    • That is one of the risks of buying online.

      • +1

Hardware faulty. Most of the good deals are from online shopping, this risk is something that we have to take. In my case, I hit the jackpot.

    • What happened to the Dell’s prosupport/next business day service???

  • Have you guys received a confirmation emailed regarding shipment?
I received an email on Wed 25/11 when I completed my order but no email confirming if shipment has been sent

    • Shipment times confirmed in op. 10-22 December.

  • +1

    I thought I'd share a component upgrade video. It's a great video.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LS8Qa3q5RM&ab_channel=OvalS…

The only question I have is what is UDIMM? Are all DDR4 RAM considered UDIMM with dual-channel?

Also if I add 2x32GB on top of the current 16GB RAM, will it just ignore the 16GB or do I need to remove it? Why wont it give me 48GB?

I just received an email from DELL that the my order is delayed till 5th Jan 2021!

I ordered mine within 30 minutes of this deal being published. Was expecting it between 10th Dec to 20th Dec as being one of the early buyers.

Not happy at all. Not good order/customer handling!

@keRRR anything can be done about this?

    • Mine will be delayed till 9th Jan 2021, a bit disappointed.

    • I got the same email. Gotta say, I was really hoping to use the pc over the Christmas break.

    • Same.
It was a present as well

    • Got an email for a delay as well,
I ordered mine 5:15pm, about 2 hours from deal being published. Order is expected to be delivered on 23rd Dec, weird.

    • I have previously bought another item from dell, said it was delayed, ended up coming before the og promised time. Interestingly, my order has also been delayed to 5th of Jan BUT when i click on the tracking link it notes that it was shipped on the 5th of Dec, i would be suprised if it actually takes until the 5th of jan if its already supposedly "shipped".

  • +3

Linus says (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Go5tLO6ipxw) Dell are losers and scammers, way to go proving him right.

    We apologize for the delay.
Thank you for your recent order with Dell. We are working to ship your order as quickly as possible. The delivery date for your order to arrive has been updated to jan. 06, 2021.

Order cancelled, thanks for wasting our time.

  • +1

Should I expect an email regarding a delayed shipment or could I be lucky?

I thought KeRRR on 04/12/2020 - 16:05 confirmed the shipping was on time or did I read KeRRR wronng?

  • +3

This is so unfair, they just lied to us all. Giving false/misleading delivery information to get us hooked.

I'll be cancelling my order. Thanks for being so disrespectful with our time. I might not be able to get another gaming pc in time for Christmas (it was the perfect gift for my older son).

    • You missed the Techfast deal because you chose Dell initially.

Dell has you by the balls because you missed the Black Friday deals.

      • +2

Techfast might not delivery before Christmas anyway…

  • +1

There should be some compensation for a further delay on top to extended delivery time.

DELL should have called it a 'pre-order' honestly…

  • -2

I have had a Computer on order since JUNE (GCG debacle). With deala from OZB.

i think it's time OZB started being accountable for what deals it allows. Just like you can't post certain things, they should follow the same rules and that Sellers/VENDORS.

    • I should of learned my lesson too.

A Couple of months ago, I purchased another desktop that was "in stock". This took over 6 weeks to arrice.

  • Are these emails coming from ebay or from Dell ?

    • Ebay Dell Australia account.

      • Thanks
My purchase was in the high 600s
        no email as yet

        • What do you mean high 600s?

I placed my order on Wed 25/11/20 at night and no email telling of delay.

          My order number is xx-xxxxx-xx998

          • @Serpeant: Number sold on the ebay listing page at time of order

  • +3

@KeRRR - Could you lay out the cancellation process for those that need it please?

I'd be happy to be compensated for the delay with an increase to 3 years for the warranty.

    • It sucks to have to cancel because you missed all the other good Black Friday deals!

    • Will be looking to cancel too, was meant to be a Christmas present.

  • +1

Can anyone else who got the delayed until Jan message confirm this?

Yesterday when I clicked the 'View Purchase' link the status was "in production", with the "estimated ship date" being the beginning of December, and the "revised ship date" as end of December.

However when I checked the same link again today the status has changed to "shipped" and the "ship date" is Dec 5 while the "revised ship date" is still end of December.

The tracking seems to be contradicting itself.

    • Is this info from ebay?

      • Yes, the email sent from Dell's ebay account notifying the delay

    • Mine's the same but the status isn't shipped. Revised date Jan 2nd :{

      • +1

That sucks, hopefully its a reporting error on their end and it'll change for you.

I'll keep this thread updated if any notable changes to my tracking happen.

        • -1

Shipped now so I can't cancel. I'm not even sure how to put my anger into words.

  • I've checked my order today and it said the PC was shipped. The delivery date is still showed Jan 9th.

  • +1

Mine also now says shipped. Expected delivery date Dec 16th. Revised delivery date Dec 30th. Which to believe? Neither?

I guess if they mark as shipped we can't cancel. Perhaps they want to head off a wave of cancellations and hold on to our money.

    • Mine now says shipped too. But revised delivery date 5th Jan.

Your order has left the factory on Dec 6, 2020 and is in transit to the local hub. It may take days for the carrier link to update tracking information.

    • It is very confusing, waiting for a response on the cancellation request and it is not clear if the pc was shipped.

I guess when it comes it comes, I'm in no rush

  • Hey, how do you get a Dell fulfilment system order number?

Ordered last Monday but havent got one yet.

  • I'm in the same boat as a lot of you guys
Received email yesterday (Saturday 5th) confirming delay in shipping
But my Dell order details now says it has been shipped as of today (Sunday 6th)

    • I've hit up OP for some clarification.

  • Mine also shows Shipped: Dec 6, 2020 now…

  • +6

@KeRRR seems oddly quiet. Where u at.

Dell's customer service is notoriously shit. Look up the recent linustechtips video on it. Mine hasn't been delayed yet, but this is pretty bad customer service.

    • +2

Believe it or not, I have a social life and was away for the weekend. Dell doesn't operate on weekends, so as soon as I have relevant information for you regarding this deal, it will be posted (sometime today).

  • +1

I wonder why only some people have received the email regarding delayed shipments and others haven't.

This is particularly surprising since one of the posters who got this email purchased within 30 minutes of the deal posting which would suggest that people who purchased after this (most of us) will also expect to receive this email about the delay.

I have no email and consequently am expecting to receive it before X'mas.

However, my previous experiences with Dell prove this is unlikely. I recently purchased an 'in stock' desktop from Dell and received that 6 weeks AFTER the due date.

  • +2

Unfortunately I was away for the weekend. I will have information for you guys today regarding shipping ETA, don't panic.

  • +2

Just got a Tracking number from SHIPIT, after being told it was delayed till 7 JAN.

    • +2

Same here, according to the tracking number, the expected time of delivery will be Dec 20th.

      • +2

        Yep same here.
Received my tracking number 20 minutes ago. Estimated delivery Mon 21 Dec

        • +2

Mine is on it's way too!!!

If my previous history with Dell is anything to go by, it wont come before X'mas even though they promise it before X'mas.

Apparently, it left the factory on 5/12.

I wonder where it's coming from?

    • +1

Are you able to actually track it in SHIPIT? When I click the number (the one starting with DELLORDERNO) it brings me to SHIPITs website but says 'not found'

  • Still no updates for me

  • Once the item has been handed to our couriers for delivery, the order should be updated with an “SC” number which you can use in StarTrack’s website https://startrack.com.au/. From there, you will be able to see a more accurate delivery date.

This was in the email dell sent with their DELLORDERNO8xxxxxxx tracking number. Does this mean it actually isn't shipped but they are just marking it off as shipped through ebay? Because it clearly says it's not actually with the courier.

    @KeRRR can you clarify?

    • It's shipped, mate - or at least the courier has been asked to collect the item.

Put in the number portion of the "DELLORDERNO8xxxxxxx" and you will be updated as the courier updates this info.

      https://www.dell.com/support/orders/au/en/audhs1

Sometimes, it may be a day or so before it us updated.

    • +2

Still waiting for a response. Sorry guys.

  • Have not received any emails yet. Ebay still says 14th-23rd Dec.

    • Same

  • Estimated Ship Date: Dec 2, 2020

Revised Ship Date: Dec 24, 2020

    Shipped: Dec 5, 2020

    • +1

+1 Same here, only got a mail from eBay @KeRRR, we are counting on you.

    • I ordered on the 26th and only got a Dell email yesterday

Also got an sms today from "International Parcel Service" of a pending delivery that smells like a scam
with a UPS tracking code telling me there's an outstanding customs fee to pay
Status: Held at depot(Unpaid import duty)
    Shipping via:Intl tracked courier
    Customs fee:$2.00

Must be bs, the ebay delivery was free
I never get these scams, and this was the only thing I bought
Just sharing this as a warning

    • +1

Na, Dell used Star Track (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOJiEg) for my last 3 deliveries (6 on total because the S718QL was sooo bad each unit had a different fault or was used).
Once you get the Star Track delivery notice it's ~3-7 days away.

Hey at least it's not FedEx, my new most USELESS delivery company.
My last order was scheduled for delivery last Thursday before 18hrs. that's the last update… customer service are equally useless.

      • +1

I got the same message last week when I was expecting a DHL parcel. First I got an email from DHL early in the morning and it said my parcel was on hold due to some reason (real message, I didn't pay attention when I first saw it ). Then about 1-2 hours later I got an SMS from a private number that said my UPS parcel was delayed due to customs clearance and it came with a line. The link took me to a fake UPS site and ask me to pay 2 dollars for import duty. On the payment page, if you read carefully, the 2 dollars will actually be used to subscribe to an iPhone draw stuff, then you need to pay 20-30 dollars per month for this shit. My post was shipped from the UK by DHL. I guess someone in the post system leaked my information to the scammer.

    • +1

Yes, I had that SMS too, beware guys.

Btw, the put some Chinese in it for some reasons.

Curious where they got the email address…

    • -1

Sounds like you got McAfee installed! 🤣

  • Mine says shipped 2 days ago according to Dell, but they haven't given me the star track tracking number. Is this normal @KeRRR

    • Don't worry I rang Dell myself, it doesn't have a startrack tracking number because it hasn't arrived in Australia yet. Didn't realise it was coming from overseas.

    • Glad to hear you got it sorted.

  • Mine still saying
    Paid but not posted

    • Same, ordered on the 26th

  • +4

Update: So I finally got specific shipping information on your XPS 8940's. 70% have already been dispatched. The remaining orders from this deal will be dispatched in the next couple of days. Everyone should have their units within the specified ETA in op.

Note: Any delayed ETA notices can be ignored as they likely won't pertain to this deals shipping ETA.

Please remember I don't work for Dell, I'm just trying to get you guys some good deals. Thanks for being patient.
