You guys have this wrong…they've already reduced it…the original price is $499. I saw it was $499 yesterday. They've reduced it early. It's already 25% off

    • Oh no. Was thinking to get one because of the crazy price.

    • Yeah after doing some research on pricing , I'm pretty sure it is the case here( fingers crossed that we are wrong though). I feel like the price would be too good to be true honestly. Let's wait and see.

    • could be, but who knows what will happen :)

    • agreed

I'm with you on this. BigW store on Ebay have it for $499. See below.

      Unfortunately, I think you're right mate! Showing $373 with a 25% discount.

  • Great price if you only need something basic!

does anyone know where i can get the 5% egift cards?

    • shopback

      • looks like promotions over

  • Pitty it doesn't have microSD slot or faster USB-C (2.0 only).
This is great value & guess better than iPad (Android/iPadOS < Chrome OS < Windows/MacOS)

    • Yeah they're definitely pushing you to save to the cloud. It's a pretty fast wifi connection for me, some people seem to have issues, but it may be their router.

      • Personally, the wifi is okay. I could not manage to get a smooth game on Xbox xCloud. I thought it was my wifi but my phone (pixel 4a) was very smooth on xCloud.

        YMMV.

and no mini-jack for headphones as well

    • It's USB-C Gen 2 ( not USB 2 speeds ), which maxes out at 10 Gbps. Also some USB-C can 3.1 Gen 1 which is also fast @ up 5 Gbps.

Edit: Said that on US Lenovo specs and hoped it was right, but unfortunately looks like USB 2 speeds + DP damn.

    • What would you connect to the USB-C? Charging devices?

      • +1

For me a power bank with USB C PD to charge the tablet, or a USB C memory stick when needed. Saw a larger Tablet

Stand Type Belkin USB C keyboard the other day you could plug in, or a USB C to USB A adaptor for anything USB A

such as a mouse dongle if that would work ( limited to USB 2 speeds as mentioned above ).

AirPods costs more than the tab. lol

    • +1

      lol, Apple tax

    • Apple Magic Keyboard costs more!!!!

  • This seem to have Bluetooth 4.2 so can we connect to a headphone, a mouse, an external keyboard at the same time? Anyone tried it?

  • I am buying one for my son as school asks for chromebook for every student. how does this one compare to Lenovo 300E G2 Yoga Chromebook ($499) ?

    thanks!

    • There are minimum specs that schools require for laptops. Confirm these with your school.

The screen size and ram probably do not meet the requirements of your child's school.

Most specify minimum 11inch screen and 8gb ram.

      • the ram minimum would be different for a chromebook compared to a windows pc (but most schools just throw out some random minimum IT spec without actually any clarification or logic :) )

      • 4GB is plenty for a chromebook, and the screen on this is fine.

    Fingers crossed this actually happens…

Anyone that bought from Amazon or Officeworks, hold out on returning. I believe the price is already discounted at $373 (RRP of $499 minus 25% plus a dollar or so less to match Harvey Norman and JB).

However, if this price is correct I wouldn't hesitate getting it. Bought one from Officeworks this morning and have been using all day. It's fantastic.

    • Could you please confirm the dimensions for me?

  • Does anyone know of where to get a pen for cheap? I was told from Lenovo that this pen is not compatible with the system which seems strange https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/accessories-and-monitors/pens-a…

The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook - Ice Blue/ Iron Grey probably won't be $279.75. The Black Friday sale price looks to be $373 with the add to cart currently grayed out. The same thing with the other Big sale items with the add to cart not selectable. They will allow you to add these items to cart at the sale price of $373 tomorrow at 9am.

    • +1

$280 is a pipe dream…maybe next Black Friday

  • +1

$373 is the discounted price as it says Coming Soon and is greyed out. Will go live at that price in 10 hours.
I believe the best deal is still OW at $329

I wonder if/when OW will drop the price on Airpod Pro's though, if you're quick enough you may get a price beat.

Apple Airpods Pro with Wireless Charging Case MWP22ZA/A

    It’s going for $319

  • +6

Yep confirmed price is $373 not $280 for the duet… Website updated now :(

  • Please update the post with correct price of Lenovo tab

  • is there any place that would now price beat officeworks?

      JB Hifi.

      1. Purchase discounted Coles egift cards (3-4% off) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards
      2. Purchase The Card Network (TCM) gift cards at Coles (15% promo this week) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582451
      3. Use the TCM cards that can be spent at JB Hifi. Duet is currently on offer $374. Get them to price match with OW, then pay using TCM gift card. Balance is put back onto the TCM gift card. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582988

      Caveats:
      * Some Coles won't let you purchase gift cards using gift cards, some will. If 3-4% off is not a big deal, read comments in link #2 for alternatives.
      * TCM gift cards are in high demand atm. You may or may not be able to get them.
      * JB Hifi may need to see that OW has stock.

If all the stars align, it'll be $271+
      If Step 2+3 = $279+
      If Step 1+3 = $308+
      If Step 2 = $317.90

      • Office works is back to 373

        • :'-(

      • I think step 1 worries me as pretty much every Coles which used to let you do this stopped allowing it. Closest thing I can get is being able to apply the Coles flybuys $10 off promotions to purchases of gift cards.

        • Do you mean buying the TCN gc with Coles gc? That is a pain as some stores will be strict and some won't. Even self checkout requires the staff to be present (reminder to add date). Just don't flash the Coles gc when they're around. Alternatives discussed in other threads include paying by zip pay, which still gets you a discount.

If you mean step 1 as in buying Coles egift cards, it's easy as.

scanning flybuys for points is a given. :)

          • @sirspiff: Sorry my bad. I meant to say the step where you go to Coles and buy GCs using other GCs. At least when I last tried it it popped up an error or warning of some sort which blocked the transaction going through.
