Black Friday: 15% off Weber Q BBQ's and Weber Accessories at BCF & The Good Guys

210

Hey guys, first post.

Been looking for a good Weber deal, this is the best I've seen so far.

Also FYI you can get BCF vouchers through flybuys points (or a weber q itself), and shopback/cashrewards has 3.5% cashback.

The Good Guys have the same deal - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/weber

Edited to include discounted e-gift card links (thanks Slo20), lots of options for BCF & GG - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards.

Thanks

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2020

Don’t forget you can get up to 10% off gift cards to sweeten the discount. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards

    • Thanks mate. I'm with NIB so can use the 10% off gift cards there too, nice!

      • No worries. I took advantage of it this time last year and got a family Q for around $574 after all discounts.

Charcoal Weber's don't seem to be included - bugger

    • yeah pretty much all charcoal and charcoal accessories aren't on sale. Chimney starter, briquettes, lump, smokers, kettles. =(

  • Waiting for the previously regular Myer 25% off :)

    • How likely is this of happening? Is it actually annual?

      • We shall see on Friday..

        • Did they have the Charcoal ones on sale?

        • 15% for myer as well

same price on good guys ebay, then add 5% off code, then use 3% ebay gc.

    decent deal for q2000

    $367ish

  • FYI BCF is also doing 15% off Weber Accessories as well but Good Guys will likely price match.

  • These are all the old models (QX000) compared to the newer ones with a better ignition/split grill (QX200)

    differences here
    https://isre2005.net/weber-q-2000-review/

    • Isn't the difference premium vs non-premium? Not new vs old?

      • +2

It is 100% not a new or old model thing. It's simply the Normal model vs Weber instore exclusive model.

The link that drup posted says there are three differences:

The two models are very similar, and there are only marginal differences:

        • The Q2000 uses a single cast-iron cooking grate, but the Q2200 has a two-piece grate split in the middle
        • The Q2200 features a temperature gauge built in the lid
        • The ignition mechanism of Q2200 Weber grill is somewhat more advanced (electronic vs push-button ignition)

There are also slight ergonomic differences

        Just to clear this up:

        • First point is wrong. The Q2000 has split plates.
        • Second point is correct the temp guage is unique to the Q2200 + the lid dome is slightly higher but we have never found this to be an issue in 3 years with the Q2000.
        • Third point who cares either way you push a button to start it.
  • Myer has now matched it with 15% off their own BBQ and accessories. Good for those with Myer Gift cards or MyerOne rewards

  • I've never looked into BBQs before. Is the Q3100 a good price? Or should I wait for boxing day to see what comes up there?
