Cheaper than Dell's 4k deal, so for people that need cheaper 4k screen, this is a good option.

You're passing because it's shit TN, not because it's TN.
There's never been a good 4K TN, but that's because of the demand for IPS as you go up in resolution. It's built around colour consistency for professional colour/image/video work.
In terms of value for money, this sucks compared to the Dell deal, and you're better off going up to $350-$400 to get something better.

What's a TN Monitor?
A shit one. LCD tech from the 90s.
There are 3 types of screens are available for monitors :TN, VA, IPS : https://www.techspot.com/article/1788-display-tech-compared/
Traditionally competitive gamers would have gone for TN panels as they achieved faster frame rates 144Hz plus, with less care on aesthetics to that that competitive edge. On the otherside you has IPS, low refresh rate but great colour accuracy (great for those working with photoshop etc) . VA was a nice balance of both.
However as technology progresses you will find the most expensive screens are IPS with high refresh rates or sexy 4K IPS screens. Depends on what you want the monitor for: Gaming or Productivity or for just a workstation. Of course there is a budget for all.
Read the article if you want to grasp the different technology
And the end of the day it is all about the user case scenario of the monitor and the budget you are prepared to spend.
One thing though is there is no point getting a beefy PC with the latest and then cheaping out on a monitor
Plastics is a much-advanced technology, but metal/wood is still good depending on needs.
Nice TN panels are still great for gaming.
I agree this is not a good deal. (60Hz TN, ultra-wide bezels).
Gonna have to pass on TN
