Boot drive for a media pc? increasing some laptops from 128gig (like my daughters laptop for school) ..
for a media pc, do you really need over 3000mb in read and write (why not just buy a sata ssd), and if you were gonna increase disk size, 128 to 256 is barely an improvement with the high storage of many of application these days
it's an improvement for my daughter .. it's double the space and the laptop is not worth spending more than this amount on (mind you i didnt buy this just did a similar thing), which is the point you made with the media pc, just depends if it's cheap enough it doesn't hurt either :)
@scud70: If it does support nvme drives, have you got a place to clone the existing drive on to and then clone back onto the new drive?
Im going to be doing something similar for a Dell and cloning onto a sata 2.5" ssd in an enclosure.
@CachePC: i did what you described, cloned the drive with clonezilla to an external drive as an image then back, i would have just done a disk to disk if i had an nvme external enclosure but had to make do with just an external usb disk lol

Thanks. Title updated.
$15 delivery
so basically add 25%
meh
Yeah that's always the issue with PC Case gear - great range and decent prices but never free or cheap shipping.
should probably change title to $74 delivered.
which makes it very average deal
I don't know if it's $15 flat or not.
I beg to differ. Compared to the $109 delivered https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256GB-ADATA-XPG-SX8200-Pro-PCIe-… at say Computer Alliance on eBay. This $74 delivered from PCCG is a good deal.
A year on and they won't at least match the $350 for 2TB deal they did last Black Friday
I was able to pick this one up on ebay for $359.20 shipped using PRESS20 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174093605592
Not quite $350, but hope that helps.
Silly question. Will this work in a Biostar B450MH? Cheers.
Yeah there is an M.2 slot on that Biostar motherboard.
Thought so, cheers man.
why do people buy 250gb ssd, seems like a waste of money and nvme slot
