Great deal, Series 7 too! From memory the last offer that HN had in September for under $1,000 was a Series 6 only.

Pity that I've already bought the PS51D550 for $699 recently.

    • atleast you save $300 :)

  • Yea I bought the one at HN last time for the same price but no 3D and Series 6 only

Same, this is a good price for a 3D Series 7 TV. Makes the $799 Aldi TV not look as attractive now.

Anyone know if its available at any other DSE store?

  • Wow - any of them offer it in Sydney?

Good price. Was going for the one on sell at aldi

  • I'm surprised they still have stock of C series samsung TV's

so this is an older model i assume?

      • +3

The TV is a 2010 model samsung. The 2011 models were released around March-April this year. The 2012 model samsungs should again be released around March next year

  • Good bargain, especially that some retailers still have the older 3d glasses, which are going for much cheaper than the D series ones.

The price Ticket has a single "D" on it at the bottom. When I used to work for them it was to indicate that this product is discontinued and that we won't be ordering them anymore. At that point we could look at the company/store stock levels and decide if we could discount it further to get rid of it. Given the price, I'd say they won't discount it any further unless it was a returned item…lol

  • Which DSE is on swanston street? there are three DSEs in Melbourne City. Can someone upload the receipt if bought one, so we can price match.

there is a cashback promo with samsung, you get $150 cashback on series 7 models but unfortunately this one isnt included :(. only the 46D7000 which I assume is the newer model.

I did not buy the tv as I already bought the one from HN last time. Just wanted to make other ozbargainers aware of the deal.

10% off for woolies card holders this weekend. would make it cheap!

  • im would be very suprosed if anyone could get this tv for this price as its discountined. please prove me wrong. post back if u bought it at this price

  • I just called the Bourke St and Chadstone Dick Smith stores and they're all sold out

  • Does anyone know what's the main difference in features between C7000 and D7000. I assume D7000 is thinner?

    • I think they changed the 3D glasses from infra-red to some sort of RF in the D models…

Also pretty sure the power consumption of D models was reduced a bit from memory…

  • We bought the last (display model) at 3:30 from the Bourke St store today. The price was put back up to $1299 this morning but we mentioned the cheaper deal and they gave it to us at $999

This is last year's model and is discontinued as far as dick smith is concerned which means, as someone stated above, that all you're going to find is what's left in store (probably display models if anything). If anyone wants to search for one, quote the cat number GE6067.

  • Missed this, anymore can be found anywhere?
