      Hi, it is OK to work with this 12V transformer, but you may need to note the number of lights to connect with this transformer, or you can buy a larger transformer like 84W and connect more lights together, thanks

      12V x 2A = 24W max.
      Best to operate transformer (for long operating life) at 50% of max = 12W.
      So would best suit only 2 x 5W lights.

      As suggested by OP, around 80+W would be best for 8 x 5W lights.
      Choose suitable thickness of cables, capable of running 3.3A @12V.

    Listing says 12V - 24V , so I guess an old laptop power-supply would be perfect.

    I take it there are no plugs on these, and you need to solder your own cables?
