  • Nice. WOuld have been even better if they had First Class in it as well.

    • Would be why its so cheap.. new boxset coming no doubt

      • +1

Lol this IS a new boxset. The old one up until recently had 7 discs, then they deleted it and remade it as this with 4

    • When I read the word 'Quadrilogy' I thought it included First Class and not that other abomination of a movie. Oh well, I can wait.

      Very good price though.

      • +1

When I read the word 'Quadrilogy', I facepalmed at the use of that stupid, made up word. The word they're looking for is 'tetralogy'.

    • Thought the same thing haha. Wicked price regardless.

  • +1

    Region Free?

      • -1

        yea i just realise that.
$3.68GBP is pretty hefty for delivery ( thats like ~$7 AUS)

now im trying to choose another box set.
contemplating on MATRIX or LOtR lol

        which one?

    • Yeah, $19.75. But I figured that was a good price for a set of four blu-ray movies :)

      Cheers OP, great deal!

  • Good deal! What other blurays to buy? Havent bought one in ages, almost last december.

Any cheapies floating around in amazonuk!

    • A few like The Lincoln Lawyer (As mentioned in the post)

But not many good boxsets atm though. I noticed alot went up prior to the Black Friday Sales.

    • You bought the HP 1-6 Box Set last December right?

      • True, if you like Harry Potter the complete collection is like $40 on Pre-Order atm

    • Limitless at £7.49 and Serenity at £4.55 not inc. VAT are not bad, if you need to top up an order

  • arghhh dont know which other boxset to get.

    any idea guys and girls?

    • Harry Potter 1-8 Boxset http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00543RC0Y AUD 44.28

      • Used to be 26 euro on preorder. Exchange rate is terrible at the moment however IMO

        • omg not nice

          double the price

        • dunno about the Euro part, were you buying from Germany/Euro countries?
But Its ~£26 after VAT deduction

    • hehe nice

      i was looking at
      Rambo - The Ultimate Blu-ray Collection (Blu-ray - 2008)
      Buy new: £36.28

      but any other ideas?

      • +1

That was £16.99 for like 8 months. Not a great price atm

      • Edit: Double Post

      • i knew it looked a bit expensive.

i thought it was suppose to be black friday sale or something

why are all the prices up

what you think of the matrix 3 disc boxset for GBP 19.99$
        is that price cheap?

        • 2nd Highest price its been in 12 months. Normally about 16.99 or 15.99. Has dropped as low as 12.99 and 13.99 (about a week ago)

To check the price graphs go to blu-ray.com and select the British flag next to the top search bar then find the title. Next to the price on the page there will be a little graph symbol, point to it with you mouse and the price graph shows for you.

Alien Anthology is decent at 16.99 (has been cheaper though)

        • oh thanks for the tip toad :D

will check price graph on blu-ray.com

          yea i see it now
          matrix was average around 17$

cant believe Rambo collection was at $17 for 10months

  • Just received mine in the mail I ordered from the Hut over 21 days ago lol.. I paid $22 delivered..

  • I got this one a while ago from Amazon UK. The first two movies are DVD quality, no better. Only 3 (the last stand) and Wolferine are clearly HD quality. Still a good deal, though.

    • Disagree with you completely. Easily an upgrade over DVD.

      X-Men 1:
      Blu-ray.com reviews agree do too:

"This one is not quite as sharp, clear, and detailed as the very best Blu-ray has to offer, but it is certainly no slouch either, easily besting the previous DVD releases and making for very good high definition material" 4/5

      Or HiDef Digest:

"a video transfer that won’t disappoint fans by any means" 4/5

X-Men 2 is even better. Both give it a 4.5/5 for PQ and 5/5 for AQ

      • So did you actually watch it yourself? I think it looks very "enhanced" on my 54" screen, and the dark scenes are particularly poor (which is most of the movie). Lots of artefacts from sharpening filters. I find there to be a very strong difference with the 3rd and 4th movie.

        • Yep, i've watched them on a 50" LED, obviously not eye-candy like Transformers 3, but still a very decent transfers.

        • Sorry, but I set a high standard. 1079 x 1919 is not good enough :)

  • Price has changed I think- Gone up to 14.97 Pound. Darn it. Missed out!

    • Thats nothing, in the last 30 minutes since I first had a look at the 14.97 pounds it jumped to £64.98 !!!!!! WTF :(

      • Thats not Amazon selling it for that price though. Its being fulfilled by a 3rd party.

  • zavvi sit ll have for same price

    • More expensive, they don't remove VAT

      • plus 99 pence delivery

        • I ll always use 10 % coupon
Like I bought 4 different blue ray which would cost me
          More on amazon
