I was looking at some catalogues and found this bagain, the Brother HL-2130 Mono Laser printer from the Good Guys for only $44. The sale starts tomorrow Tuesday 22nd November.

    This and the officeworks one looks very similar. I think this one is a bit faster than the officeworks one too but not by much.

      They should be exactly the same.
      Just that OW gets an "exclusive" on the 2130 so that we can't do pricematching due to it being different model numbers.
      Same goes for the 2140 and 2142, the second being the OW "exclusive"

        Yep, this is correct. Wouldn't be surprised to see OW come down a few more dollars anyway though.

        oh I see that explains it then why there aren't many reviews for the officeworks one.

        It is good to know the masking tape trick should work on both.

    The only complain I have is that the HL2130 uses a smaller and flatter toner than the HL2140, which means having to change toners more often. Which makes this printer costlier in the long run when compared to HL2140.
