I was just looking at my old receipts when I did my last PC build, Samsung 960 EVO, 500gb, $319 from msy lol.
Wow. This is heaps cheaper than June pricing. Shame I bought back then for last FY.
I just bought a 970 pro 1tb in prime day for 203 dollars (after cashback)
Would you be able to provide a link/screenshot? Do you mean you purchased the SSD from Amazon directly (as part of a Prime Day deal) or from another retailer while Prime Day was going on?
I bought it from eBay plus promotion two days ago.
I remember preordering this for $600+ nearly two years ago and it kept getting delayed…
Guys it's cheaper to buy it from Futu Ebay for Plus members - $522 -$89 = $433

Also Centrecom is $548 - $89 = $459 for local stock delivered

The futu / ebay flash sale deal was much much better. 580*0.8-79.
970 evo plus 2tb was only $352 dollars on amazon prime day during the eBay promo 20% off and ShopBack 5% cashback and Samsung $89 dollars cashback
eBay price $580
After 20% off : $464
After 5% cashback from shop back : $441
After Samsung $89 dollars cash back: $352
Amazon doesn't qualify for Samsung cashback though…
It was the eBay sales not amazon. It is the price from Futu eBay and definitely eligible for cash back
My bad, misread
It was the ebay flash sale that prooved ebay did better prime day specials!
Amazon: HDD, RAM
eBay: CPU, PSU, Mobo
That's quite a good combo.
I accidentally double purchased something expensive and then couldn't enjoy the remaining 59 minutes of the sale.
Arrrrgh, how did I miss out on this one seriously, this is so annoying. I guess best I can get now is $433 or I could wait for BF/CM although I doubt the 89 cashback is going to stay until then
ssd and ram price are going to drop 15% further until next q1 2021
Left field question here. The price is right to buy this 2TB NVMe but I intend to clone bit-to-bit my current 2TB WD Caviar black to it. I've cloned bit-to-bit many time between 2TB OS's and they always have precisely the same number of sectors. Does anyone know if the sector count in this (any) 2TB NVMe is exactly that of HDD's?
I copied my D drive which I install all my software on that has two sectors this Tuesday. The drive was a 2TB HDD and I bought a 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD. My D drive had 580MB/2TB filled.
The drive copied from 2TB to 1TB just fine with the larger sector shrank with the size not used. Spent 3 hours copying and it worked perfectly.
Good price, holding out for PCIe 4 M.2 NVMe storage to hopefully drop in price early next year when I build my new PC
Hi guys,
Just wondering the best and easiest way to clone my OS from a 1TB Crucial to a 500GB Samung Pro (both M.2) and the data on the 1Tb is about half or less. Then wish to swap the Pro into the first m.2 slot, uninstall games etc and use the 1Tb for games and apps drive (and uninstall the os)
I downloaded for Acronis 2021 but the trial only does backup not clone . Intel have discontinued theirs, and think the samsung utility only works for samsung.
Thanks,
Check out Macrium Reflect and its free too and can do it in a live system
Thanks, after doing some research I came up with that one as well, most of the other trials are limited or want you to buy it.
Have installed just need to plonk the m.2 in tomorrow and give it a crack. There are two performance type options greyed out but doesn't seem important.
Cheers
Can you claim the cashback from Samsung with this?
Edit: Nvm, Amazon not on the list of cashback resellers
