Check the new price.
7 hunge… (only one on static ice) nice seems about right, 50% for a refurb… think id rather a different brand then…
Excellent. The old box packed it in over the weekend. Was looking for something fancier to replace it.
For anyone after a new one check here - $561 delivered including 15 months of IceTV and a HDMI cable:
why not just get something like this that does everything:
(generic yumcha)

DLNA, wireless, wired PVR etc. (no HDD - but thats only another 100 bux)would love to tweak the firmware on something like this…
that's based on the older Realtek 1283dd, not much chance of firmware upgrades, if you want to go cheap i.e yumcha get something like the Astone with Realtek 1185 for less, this has the occasional update and online forums
thanks for the advice! will keep it in mind…
(using a media PC at the moment, but something a little "lighter" would be good)
This would have to be THE best PVR in the universe to have that price nearing 2012. What are they thinking?
Ive bought a Beyonwiz DP-P1 about 2 years ago second hand. Great unit. The GUI could be a little better but overall, very happy with the unit. Especially seeing as it is 'Freeview' free. That being I can copy recording off the box or simply share them around the network / LAN.
Availability: Out Of Stock
I would also consider the DP-Lite as shown here: http://www.beyonwiz.com.au/products.php?id=3
The only difference i think is that it has no front screen or AV rear input (eg for Foxtel).
My Dad has the DP-Lite and I have a DP-S1 and we are very happy with them although the user interface is a bit dated.
400 bux for a reco PVR?
seems a bit rich for a refurb!?
