I have to wonder if the battery lasts long enough to at least terrify the grass into submission, let alone cut any of it.

    • no battery - uses mains power

      • where's the cord? i can't see any cord in teh pictures

        • must be AC powered

        • +3

Cords are so last century, everything's cordless & green power these days. Lawn mowers harness the power of green energy from your grass.

        • The main reason it is AC powered is because it using 1100Watt, there is no way they have a 1100Watt battery in there.
As a comparison, for car battery with 40A it only stored 480Watt(40Ax12v) which not even half of it and 40A car battery is quite big(L/W/H=240mm/134mm/220mm)

  • so can you actually cut your whole lawn with this or do you need to do the front, recharge and then do the back? (not trolling, just curious)

Well, if it has a cord then you will just need an extension lead that reaches from the front to the back… ;)

  • 1 year warranty

  • My neighbour has a honda one that uses mains power, its really quiet and efficient.. No refilling peteol or spark plugs pumps etc.. Very good.. He uses it all the time still not broken. Over 10yrs old and still choping all the grasses with ease
Dnt no if this aldi one is as good but for $100 1yr warranty and 60days return policy is really good deal!

No fear of mowing your power cable?

    • Sooner or later it will happen. There is no conductive path from blade to handle, I'm sure.

Bunnings has 1000w version for $99 with 2yr replacement wty.

    • To my experience , ALDI have 3 months instore return policy. For issues after 3 months you need to contact the manufacture for return, repair and all those trouble !!!

I would prefer Bunnings if thts the case. Thx

      • the manufacturer is usually Aldi based and have direct contact details with the warranty cards with very good after market care and service!

  • maybe good for a very small yard. but for average-large size yards, get a good reliable mower like a Honda. they're expensive, but you get what you paid for, well worth the investment.

  • I bought an Ozito corded lawn mower from Bunnings few years ago for $99 as well, I believe. Cord can be a hassle but for that price, you learn to work around it. Been looking at the cordless ones but about 3x the price.

  • Had an electric mower in 1990. It cut the lawn better than the petrol one.
Plus no smoke, less noise and you don't piss off the neighbours. If I had a lawn I'd buy one.

  • Anyone purchase one of these? Are they an good?

    • I got one from ALDI in Richmond VIC. The last one. It works well for a small lawn, I am quite happy to have it. But for those who are not used to with electrical cord, it might be annoying.

  • I used to have that in Europe. But it wasn't from ALDI but from LIDL but they were quite OK for a small yard. The only challenge is to know how to deal with it.
