Great if you can find free delivery with this.

    • Half of the restaurants around my area came up as Free delivery!

It seems that delivery fees still apply on mobile app, but I used the website and got $0 delivery

I've given up on Menu Log and Uber Eats. Most places now have their own delivery via their websites and the markup on ML and UE is out of control. I was comparing menu items across my 3 favourite places to order delivery locally and both apps are on average 25% to 35% dearer.

The trick is to use on cheaper items instead- usually entrees or drinks. But yes, I agree that a lot of places mark up 25-35% it's not worth it even with a $5 voucher.

      • So they dont have a higher markup on entrees? only on the mains? I know in some restaurants i visited for pickup, the markup was around 80-85% , i was shocked.

    • You're right. However, that's not always the case. I used to order from this restaurant in my area from Uber Eats. Then I found out that the prices are 25% cheaper if order from Menulog. I went to the place to pickup one time and noticed the prices on the menu are the same with Menulog listing. It's quite interesting
      Been using Menulog nowadays

  • Interesting how Japanese doesn't qualify as Asian.

    • My Japanese restaurants come under 'Asian' cuisine filter and I'm getting voucher denied.

Very interesting indeed. Maybe because 'Asian' isn't on the list of "Pizza, Indian, Thai, Chinese or Italian" ?

        • So true - damn.

I think there is another voucher we can use for asian food in the 4-6pm block.

Liked the old $5 off independents with no minimum spend better. This one is too restrictive.

    • The old one was amazing. I was getting boba (pearl) milk teas for $2.50, and dumplings for $6.

    • Yes the restrictions pretty much mean you just end up paying off the markups and are paying the RRP for the food anyway…

  • Used these codes for pick up and avoid delivery fees. thought I am getting a good deal till found out yesterday That the food I ordered through menulog was more expensive even after the $5 discount than just calling restaurant normally for takeaway.

Just be aware some restaurants seriously jacked up the price for menulog.
