Free Swimming Lesson for Children Under 5 (National Learn2Swim Week, Sept 25 to Oct 4)

250

An annual awareness week aimed at educating parents on the importance of teaching kids aged under five to swim. It’s also about reminding everyone about the importance of water safety. Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children under five, so we hope this special event will lead to more children learning the vital skills of how to swim and ultimately help reduce our drowning statistics.

Register your child for a free swim lesson at a participating swim school in your area.

Thanks to TA for last years post

There open in country vic Melbourne pools open tomorrow

      • Stupid if you ask me. Texas Medical Board rates swimming in a public pool as being moderately risky… 6/10 on the covid risk scale. They say eating outdoors at a restaurant is only 4/10 risk. So Dan thinks swimming is more important than eating out despite the higher risk.

        • They go on Australia not os as there has never been a case at a pool

        Melbourne pools open tomorrow

Nope, all pools within 5kms of here are indoor, they aren't allowed to open.

    • You're back and already bitching about Dan.

      • I'm just stating a fact.

Wow, this is great. Sadly i live in Melbourne so can't go out, and second, it's pretty cold this week, so if i took my child they would freeze to death. I'll leave a reminder for next year though, thanks!

One lesson which can be taken during the week period.

  • Id love to do this for my son but being in school holidays I also have my older kids. Too much hassle. Good for those who can do it to come and check out though :)
