  • do you have any with built in mechanism?

    • Hi amr1589,

Not sure what you mean with built in mechanism. But if you mean a fountain pen that doesn't take cartridges but just sucks up the ink from the bottle then the LAMY 2000 would be the pen best suited for you.

      I hope my answer helps!

      Peter

      • yes I dont like catridges

Happy I understood your question right the.

The Opus 88 is a cool pen as well as it’s a demonstrator pen. You can see the ink swirl around in the body as it’s a transparent pen.

However, it’s different from Lamy 2000 in the way that you have to use an eyedropper to fill it with. The upside is that you can fit a lot more ink in the pen and it is a bit cheaper than the Lamy 2000.

Hope you find something you like. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

          Best Regards,
          Peter

    • Would the Lamy converter cartridges suit your purpose where you fill them with your own ink. I used to use them becauseI needed specific pigments and found them quite convenient.

      • saw a Lamy in this store which has a convertor. I think cartridges are the norm isn it

        • Well it just slot in instead of a cartridge so I think Lamy sees it as a way to make each of its base pens either cartridge or refill. It’s really easy to use and much better than refills needing a dropper or similar

Good to see you also support a local ink maker. Gets +1 from me for that.

    • Thank you!

Appreciate that. We try to support Aussies where we can.
