  • Finally managed to get an Aeropress Coffee Maker and 1kg Spirit of the Peace bag for $42.50 (not including shipping)…not sure how though as it doesn't seem available now?

    • -1 available it is telling me.

I think I was just lucky as I added it to my cart just before 5pm and after a few attempts it went through…

      • +1

    • Wasn't working for me as well but I went incognito and it worked :)

  • +1

Just placed my order and the code worked for me

  • Rosevelt already out of stock?

    • Yeah

  • +6

Not to take away from their credibility as coffee roasters, but I'd refrain from entering any personal data on a site that may have recently been compromised/hacked. This screenshot shows how Google indexed a copy of the homepage when it was hacked - looks super suss.

    • looks like you've been looking up escorts in inglewood?

      • +6

Yep, you got me! But in all seriousness, someone's going to have access to customer data other than the roasters.

You can also verify that screenshot by viewing an exact copy of what Google cached just this morning (fair warning, it contains some pretty not safe for work content):
        http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:inglewo…

It looks like the site is redirecting through to a third-party when Google crawls it which is a pretty clear indication the site is hacked and people should refrain from entering their personal details into it.

Mod Note: Cached website link is NSFW/adult material.

        • Well crap !

          • +1

            @howieyo: yeah, crap!
            turkish escort site
let them cum to my house, i'll sort them out

        • +4

Update: I've sent an email to their contact address with a heads-up just in case they're not already aware (I would hope they arent, seeing as though they're actively promoting a sale).

Given the spam content indexed by Google was active as of this morning, it's pretty safe to assume the site is still compromised.

          • +1

@Jekyll: Thanks, held off ordering for now

          • @Jekyll: How can you order with that info .
            Your a hero Jekyll !

        • If I've ordered from them before, my details are most likely already in their system?

          • @cooleagles: While I can't be 100% sure on this, I'd say yes.

They're currently using WooCommerce to handle the shop side of their website. Having worked with WooCommerce in the past, I know that customer details such as name, address, email (defaults to your PayPal email address if that payment method is being used) and previous purchases are logged and kept forever within a database.

            • @Jekyll: Damn. Thanks. Will keep an eye on my accounts

            • @Jekyll: I haven’t received a confirmation email for the order yet, but obviously did for the PayPal payment. Wondering if I should reverse the PayPal payment.

I expect a statement and action plan from Inglewood now for this. They’re quiet now so probably dealing with the fallout of the crazy sales but I’ll keep watching this thread for updates.

Wondering if I should change email addresses…

              • @GeneralSkunk: I'd follow up on the order regarding emails just as you'd kinda expect to receive one, even a basic order confirmation!

From memory, given how PayPal processes transactions on their side, no payment details aside from order and transaction ID would be visible within the site database, but I recommend enabling two-factor authentication through PayPal if you don't already have it set up anyway. Better to be safe than sorry, eh?

                • @Jekyll: Yeah think I will get in touch. Nothing yet.

Yeah I use a 2FA auth app for PP. I trust PP, it's the small businesses you have to watch out for. Glad they didn't show anything on IsItHacked…

        • +1

Keeping on brand with the Sugar Daddy coffee beans <3

        • +1

          Seems to be OK

          http://isithacked.com/check/https%3A%2F%2Finglewoodcoffeeroa…

I don’t know how reliable “is it hacked” is, but came back OK.

          • +1

@Jimb000: Ironically, that tool spoofs Google's user agent string(the bit of info that tells a site Google's making the request), but it comes back clean.

Given the actual Google web crawler is being redirected, I'd probably lean towards believing that rather than a tool trying to imitate it.

I ran a command from my local terminal to also spoof Google's user agent string while sending a request to the site:

            curl -ILH "User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)" https://inglewoodcoffeeroasters.com.au

            The response was:

            HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
            Location: http://toopla.com/

Guess what's located at toopla.com? It starts with T and ends in urkish escorts. No doubt there's malware on the site, it can be pretty tricky like this.

        • thank you I've held off for now.
I also dont know how reliable a scanner https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/ is, but it picked up some issues with the URL.

          • @marsqu: Site check says the site has been hacked and there is malicious code in the site. The code is a malware that redirects to Toopla.com

I wonder how it effects us/orders?

            • @Jimb000: Mine’s on its way, ETA Thu-Tue. I haven’t heard from Inglewood though. I reckon their website borked but they got notifications from PayPal which include the order, and have fulfilled those orders.

I just hope that our personal info hasn’t been added to a database up for sale on the dark web now. Thinking of switching email addresses for all my online accounts.

        • +1

Have Inglewood replied to you Jekyll? I've haven't heard about my order or their website issues.

This will be my last order with them I think.

          • @cooleagles: Crickets, unfortunately. With that said, it has only been two days and they're likely swamped with emails from everyone who didn't receive an order confirmation email (seems to be quite a number of people). I guess the perks of using PayPal and the package being sent through AusPost with tracking pretty much guarantees an email/notification from both.

            • +1

@Jekyll: My card has been compromised, not 100% sure it was this but pretty close! Won’t be ordering from them again…

    • How do you pick up on these?

      • For this site, it was just a matter of searching the URLs/pages that Google has indexed in addition to viewing the source code of the site to grab the version numbers of WordPress and WooCommerce. Call it due diligence, but I tend to suss a website out before providing any of my personal information.

        • Wow you’re thorough.. I thought maybe it was an app or extension that alerted you to it.

Hmm you seem to be into security and I know it’s off topic, but would you recommend those password managers?

    • wish I saw this before I placed an order yesterday ….

ah well - have paid via Paypal so am somewhat protected.

Had issues with them earlier in the year with slow shipment / no communication, and now this - there's plenty of other roasters out there, so this will be my last order with them….c'est la vie

  • Finally. I got sunset blvd and sugar daddy. managed to work it out.
    code worked!
    thanks OP.

  • managed to get sugar daddy.

  • +1

I was just able to order.

Flash sale also now extended to 11pm due to website issues.

  • Placed an order for 1kg of Sugar Daddy. Thought they only had 500g of it, but scrolled down and found another item with various sizes 200g, 500g and 1kg as options.

    • That’s strange. At least can’t see this on my mobile browser.

  • -2

I would buy more if afterpay avaliable.

  • +1

Just bought 1kg of the Sunset beans. Excited!

    • I did the same. so much hype on this. Lets see how it goes!

  • I'm not having any luck with placing the order. Anyone with the same issue?

  • -1

just purchased 2x St Ali 60 pack Nespresso Pods. 50c a pod is a great deal! Thanks OP

    • St Ali from Inglewood??

      • Yeah I don’t know what was going on there lol I was posting on my phone half asleep and my comment cut off. I was meant to say compared to the st Ali pods which are around the same price as Inglewood, but with this deal at half the price 50c per pod

  • Aeropress Go (smaller travel version of Aeropress) is available about half way down this page.

    https://inglewoodcoffeeroasters.com.au/shop/

    Has anyone tried this model?

    • +1

I got one earlier in the year from Amazon, works just like it’s big brother

  • Shame the site might be compromised, will hold off on ordering until that's resolved…

  • Has anyone gotten a confirmation email? Maybe the site is still lagging a bit, I've gotten confirmations instantly the last few orders from them.

    • +1

no confirmation either. I did note down the order number and printscreen just in case

      • I paid through PayPal so should be ok

Got the PayPal confirmation straight away

        [email protected] was the seller

        • +1

Got PayPal confirmation as well. But no Inglewood email like usual.

          • @Phil22: I’ve emailed them to check….. cheers

            • @Jimb000: Any response yet? I haven’t received a confirmation email either :/

    • +3

No confirmation email, but I just got a new shipment from Inglewood added to my AusPost tracklist

  • No response from their team about their site going down or no order confirmations?

    • I just got a message from Australia Post saying my package was being prepared.. No confirmation email from Inglewood though…

    • I’d like to know more about if their site has malware and what the impact is for us.

  • hmmm no order confirmation yet for me too

  • Yes poor form not to send a communication out to their database I think.

    Has our privacy been breached?

    • +2

Yes poor form not to send a communication out to their database I think.

Yep - fool me/us once shame on you, fool me/us twice shame on me/us …. won't be buying from these jokers ever again

  • Beans arrived today. Just drinking the Lake Kivu Rwanda now. Very nice, tasting notes say Earl Grey tea, citrus fruit etc. Can certainly taste the Earl grey! Interesting that coffee can taste like tea. But it’s good, floral too. I made it in a moka pot.

If Inglewood sort out their website and give us an explanation for the potential malware, I might consider ordering from them again.

    • +2

There was a post on their FB page asking about the hack.

Looks like it's been removed. At least, I can't see it on mobile.

      • +2

If thats true, it's a disgraceful way to handle it in my view.

I won't be touching these guys if they don't email an explanation.

        • +1

I commented on their Instagram asking about it. Nicely actually. My comment has been deleted!

          • +1

            @Pratty: That's very disappointing.

            • +1

@ankor: I (and I think a few others did too) emailed them about it. Haven't heard anything back and doubt I will.

Very disappointing all round. I do enjoy their coffee, but won't be buying from them again.

              • +1

@cooleagles: Yeah. Oh well, there's a bunch of other roasters
at just about every price point around who also have beans to sell.

                • +1

                  @ankor: Agreed. Poor form.

                  • +1

@Pratty: Is there anyone we can report them to?

I'd personally like to know if my details have been exposed due to their site being compromised.

If they are deleting posts, it is not giving me any confidence in them at all.

Are they required to make a report if there was a breach?

                    • +2

@arcticmonkey: I don’t know the name of the law or to who but we do have mandatory disclosure laws for this. I might look into it tonight. If anyone else has any idea, share it.

                      • @GeneralSkunk: Thanks for that. If it's a quick process, it might be worth putting in an enquiry.

                        • +1

@arcticmonkey: Let me know if you do. Have no idea. Maybe a bit more social media pressure may help?

Honestly I’ve never dealt with a business that acts this way. Even if they don’t know, respond! Don’t delete comments and pretend it doesn’t exist.

                          • +2

@Pratty: As above, my card was compromised so I’d recommend checking your own if you did order. Really disappointed with these people and won’t be ordering again. Such a shame as the coffee is pretty decent!

                            • @mattoid532: Card compromised! Really?! That's terrible.

                            • +1

@mattoid532: Really poor form from these guys.

If they are deleting posts then they deserve a bad review.

                              • +1

@arcticmonkey: Yeah fraudulent activity on the card after making this purchase, timing seems to coincide too well for it to be anything else! It sucks but the credit card company picked it up and are sorting it, so all good.

                                • @mattoid532: I'm curious, did you enter your card through PayPal?

                                  • @TheBooleanOne: It seems I did based on the statement, so would’ve thought to be secure. Like I said, not 100% sure this is where the fraudulent activity came from but the timing seems spot on

                                    • @mattoid532: Card can't be compromised by Inglewood if you used PayPal. Details are never seen by them, they just get money transferred. I'd be looking at your PC/browser.

                                    • -3

@mattoid532: so stop spreading misinformation then. inglewood doesnt store ur card details if u used paypal

go change ur paypal password as well

                                      • +3

@furythree: I'm not going to speak for Mattoid but maybe if they addressed what happened, that could've been cleared up?

Numerous people have had concerns in this thread, numerous people are referring to posts being deleted and I haven't received any communication about this issue despite making a purchase.

                            • +1

@mattoid532: Just got a fraudulent charge on my Amex tonight: $4K at Sonos. I used PayPal as well, so I'm not convinced it was due to this purchase but the timing is very coincidental.

                              • @TheBooleanOne: Sorry to hear that.

I think a similar thing happened to another purchaser from here.

All the more disappointing Inglewood didn't explain what actually happened so people were kept informed.

                        • +1

@arcticmonkey: Looks like it only applies to companies that come under the privacy Act, i.e. those with >3m turnover per year.

But the place to notify the beach is the OIAC, here

  • Got an email from Inglewood to let me know that my Aeropress will be coming in a separate parcel to the coffee beans

  • +2
