Several classes of Alienware R2 are available from the Dell Outlet.
I have been looking for a moderately high end laptop at a decent price and these definitely fit the bill. I saved over $1000 on the unit I was looking it.

I don't know much about displays, but wouldn't a 240hz 7ms display be pointless? If a screen can only refresh every 7ms then it could only theoretically show 144hz? I don't know much about displays so it would be nice to hear from someone who knows more.

I purchased the OLED version myself but Ive heard a lot of people think really highly of the high refresh version.

Response time is not the same as refresh rate…

    • Got a another laptop with 17" gync 75hz blah blah, for any gaming I attach a external monitor. Can't imagine gaming on a 17" let alone 15"

  • Extra $50 for the 1tb version seems great value for money.

I'd have probably have got myself one of these if I didn't just pull the trigger on the surface book 3 15" for $2,661.

  • sRGB?

      Sexy RGB

  • Dell outlet used to have some great deals but of the last 2 years or so everything is way overpriced for refurbished

    • The base version is a reasonable deal but the top end 2399 OLED version is significantly better than retail.

This is definitely a bargain after spending the last 2 weeks trying to hunt down an OLED based laptop.

At less than 60% the cost of the R3 version for almost identical performance, this is a bargain.

      • looks like you got the last one
the other OLED spec only has 1660 Ti

  • biggest killer is nonupgradeable RAM….

    • totally agree with the RAM issue , CPU is not bad though.
however if someone happy to go for just to hold an Alienware go for it :)
