it is enclosure, mate. I can see your strong desire for that card.
Yes strong desire… lack of wife approval for spending hundreds!
:( needed nvme to go with recent A2000 or crucial deals
Thank you. I ordered one then cancelled when I saw this post.
I already have a case, but the A2000 wouldn't fit into the slot. It was slightly too small.
Only $10 for the almost the same thing :-)
Whats the difference? Legit do not know enough of these things. Are all enclosures legit just a case and adding a usb port?
We have faster speed than this one. USB3.1 is more faster than USB3.0. What's more,1x USB C to USB 3.0 cable;1x USB C to USB C cable;1 x Screw driver; 1 x Instruction manual; 2-year warranty quality guarantee are also included in our product. The $10 thing only includes one enclosure. What does the same thing mean, mate?
Whats the point of 3.1's 1212MB/s when sata 3 maxs out at 600, and good luck actually getting that out of actual drives? Btw, it includes an A to C cable as well. So a cheapo screw driver and a C to C cable is 20 bucks now?
You guys pretty much buys generic stuff out of China and slap a label on it. Pretty much like every one else.
There is even two Wavelinks on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com.au/WAVLINK-10Gbps-Enclosure-Aluminum-… by Wavlink-RC instead of you Wavlink Direct AU
@dyziplen: the value determines the price. If the appearance, function and other are the same, I would recomand you buy a cheaper one. But it's not.BTW,two wavlink store come from the same company. We sell what we produce, no need talking.
★★Please Note: Only for M2 "SATA TYPE" SSD B Key,Not support NVMe or PCle.★★
What's the point of the 10Gbps USB then when vanilla USB3 roughly matches SATA3 speed anyway?
No NVMe, no need for faster than USB3 5Gbps (625Mbps vs sata3 600Mbps) controller other than marketing, or the newer controller is cheaper now for them to put in it and yay marketing BS bonus
There are still some* benefits for SATA3.
The chipset would more likely to support UASP and TRIM over USB. There are not that many USB 3.x/Gen 2 chipset not supporting both, but USB 3.x/Gen 1 chipset can be all over the place.
While you don't get to benefit from the full bandwidth, at least it is not being slightly choked due to USB 3.x/Gen 1 bandwidth limit. If the price is right, you would still rather a USB 3.x/Gen 2 chipset.
However, nowadays, with m.2, you generally get NVMe SSDs, which isn't supported with this enclosure.
Can this be used on an old MacBook with thunderbolt 2 via some dongle? Have one of those but upgrading soon.
Hi op, any discount for https://www.amazon.com.au/DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Ethernet-P… ?
Damn. For a second I thought I could get a 10 Gbpe USB-C card. Sad face.
