    Looks like desperation

    • +1

Not really, looks like they just (profanity) up and let this voucher apply to the wrong plan.

    • +2

They are the definition of desperation.

  • Cannot pay - went all the way in and it seems the pay button once you put your card in is disabled.

    • It is post paid. No start up $.

With the way they record data usage , that 120gb will be gone in no time. I switched from Optus 20gb plan to circles 20gb plan. I probably used 8-10gb a month with Optus. Within the first two weeks I’d supposedly used 20gb already with Circles. I didn’t even change my browsing habits. Switched to another provider and am back to using 8-10gb a month. Wouldn’t recommend circles. They also sent me bills with international calls and texts I had supposedly made. I’ve never made an intentional call or text before. I’ve heard similar stories of this happening to others.

Shouldn't you use wifi all the time? I only use data for spotify on a grocery trip and exercise these days, which is very little. Used Circles in the past they seemed OK, no incident of faulty bills. I switched to a $5 call and text only plan (ALDI) since working from home as I have another SIM for 30G data, even that is hardly used. Under normal circumstances I would think this is a pretty good deal.

P/S: realised people still live normally outside Melbourne

Why should one use wifi all the time?

        • I've been wfh for 6 months

    • So signed up for this plan. Being on a 12Gb plan for years and never used my data. With Circles I have literally used 12Gb in 3 days. Holy Crap!!!
However my phone reports I have used only 500Mb! Gonna regret this decision i think.

  • If you're going to go with Circles why would you get this over the 2 month trial offer for $1.00?

    • +4

Probably because this lasts for 6 months.

      • I'm sure there will be other deals in 2 months time.

After 6 months is it 20GB or 120GB per month for $28?

    • It is 20GB for $28 pm after the first six months

  • “Work From Home” being the new normal, it seems that the mobile data is no longer in demand the way it used to be. I haven’t been able to use more than a gb/month on my plan.
I guess we’ll continue to see more of these offers, imho

Or alternatively, there is a potential that people might switch from WiFi to such "100GB" plans for home use. Costs pretty less than NBN as of now. Not a very viable solution, but if done properly with a good Router/Dongle it would still work the same way with less than half the cost.

Sign up at your own risk, $18 pm is for the 50GB deal. This is not the telco you want to exploit loopholes with.

  • well yesterday it was $38/m for 120GB first 6 months + $10/m disc so $28/m.. and then this plan comes along today!!! Why!!!

    • They change deals regularly. I first signed up for $38 for 100G even before the sim arrived, the deal changed to $28. I phoned them and was told to sign up again and just not activate the $38 sim. As you are not charged anything upfront, no loss.

I use Circles as my home internet. The 100G is enough for me. NBN is too expensive for me. I got in on the $28 for 100 G for 12 months. I think the Cashrewards rate is still $12.

  • Submitted an order, why not give them a crack!
Worst case I lose my number, keep getting billed and can't port out right?
