How is the operating system on this one ? Do they push latest updates often and on time ?
Currently running Android 10, August security update. Very good phone for the price.
Thanks. Unfortunately no deal for me, as I don't have eBay Plus. I tried it in the past, so can't even try again for 30 days for this deal. Also saw many other eBay sellers are selling it for around $290. Looks like this seller jacked up price. Bad, bad, bad….
Will be about $244 with the 15% discounted Catch Gift cards (assuming you buy $300 worth).
Yeah pretty good and the new color os7 is good. They've really listened to the western market and made the appropriate changes. I think oppo presents great value these days.
Yes they're proactive with their sw updates
I bought the Optus version (A72). The latest OS is a huge improvement over a previous version I had on an old phone. However, it still has some interesting peculiarities.
This phone is not great for games (that might have been obvious to most, but not to me). It's a good unit for the price.
Does it lag with games? I'm currently using an iphone SE from 2016, needing an upgrade soon.
Sims Mobile (not Freeplay - it won't load but that's not a phone/device issue) has a delay and Simpsons Tapped Out has a hell of a load time. Then it lags in game at times. It seemed to cope fine with Pocket City.
For those that have access to UNiDAYS, wait until paypal discounted gift cards go live and you can get extra 15% off this

Can you add a MicroSD card on this phone?
yes
Thanks everyone, ordered one.
Yes, it's Dual SIM plus dedicated uSD slot.
I think it a hybrid sd/sim slot. Not a dedicated one.
Bought this phone a few months ago, definitely dual sim + microsd (3 in a row in the SIM tray).
@CountDuckula: Awesome, websites mentioned hybrid. Mine is getting delivered today, keen to get it setup.
This or Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 4GB/128GB Dual Sim @ TobyDeals for a bit cheaper, but worse warranty?
Redmi Note 9 doesn't have NFC iirc (although the Pro does)
I think there is a version with NFC, but not sure if Toby's has it.
One person on WP recently received a RN9 4/128 from Tobys and it was a 15SG NFC version. Might be pot luck?

Should I upgrade my iPhone 7 to this?
Reasonable phone, the camera isn't the greatest but isn't terrible and I have noticed occasionally screen freezes but this was prior to the most recent update… can't say I've noticed them since. It's a lot of phone for that price in my opinion. Apparently it should get two android updates.
FWIW, I have a 400GB uSD card, (366GB avail.), in mine and it seems to be working fine … for those that require excessive storage 😂
Dammit. I just bought it for $278 on Sunday after a week of waiting for a better deal…oh well.
I bought this because apparently it works with Telstra Wifi Calling.
Not "apparently", it works perfectly with Telstra WiFi calling.
Haven't tried it anywhere else because of lockdown, but at home all my calls route through my Telstra cable internet and the one time I was at a mates place it indicated WiFi calling was available, (Telstra ADSL).
Excellent, have poor reception at work. So calls have sometimes been going straight to voicemail, this should sort the issue :)
I said apparently because it isn't an officially supported device by Telstra according to Telstra website, but it has been reported as working by users.
Colours are "Black" or "White" but the pictures look like the white one is green?
Black is more of a dark blue also (I'm typing this on one).
Every time I talk to my mate who bought one of these, the sound quality is poor. I think mic / circuitry is poor so I won't go there
OP, is that phone slower or faster than the ferrari?
