  • A referrer will get $5 credit - but as this is against the spirit of Ozbargain and while I am a Mynetfone customer the link above does not give any referral bonus. That said if you have a friend on Mynetfone you can ask them for a referral.

Calls between Mynetfone customers are free.

  • Ozpete, we know that your intentions are bona fide, and really appreciate that you want to share the good deals.
However, in this case, I personally feel that you should be allowed to post your user id, and let the individuals decide if they want you to have the referral bonus ;-)

They still have the option to use their friends as a referrer.
Just in case they have no friends already on the Mynetfone network, then they loose nothing if they use your user id as referrer…

    What do you say Scotty?

    Cheers,

    Varun

  • Is this adapter locked to MyNetFone?

My plan was after using up the credit, to use it with my current Voip provider.

The nice thing with VOIP is that you can have two providers anyway. And as the whirlpool saver plan is $0 a month you only pay as you go. i have MNF and pennytel and choose to use the one with the best rates for the call i wish to make.

    • A little bit off-topic, but ozpete, you can actually have many different providers and register all of them through an online PABX as a gateway. I personally have 4 providers (mynetfone, pennytel, faktortel, iinet (still on grandfathered plan)) and I've set the PABX up to register all of them. I then create multiple SIP accounts (one for my ATA, one for work, one for the N95, one for the girlfriend's place, and one for the sister's place) and all accounts go through the PABX. You'll end up with this centralized system, where you can actually control the dial-rules to route cheapest calls on the different providers made from any of the SIP accounts. You can also assign which device to ring for incoming calls on a particular DID. I'm now like a control centre for all VoIP related matters for my family. :P

If you don't know about it yet, have a look at www.pbxes.org. It's a free service. :)
