Was looking at the U12S Deal and noticed Noctua selling these via Newegg.
Cheapest I can see is $52/$65/$69 from Amazon/Skycomp/PC Case Gear.

Basically the GOAT as far as PC fans are considered at the moment and that brown just goes with anything.

No GST is not the same as +GST and is not the same as GST inclusive.

Are you saying that the price does not include GST but we will have to pay it at checkout or customs? If so, you should amend the price.

    • GST is applied on the product page, but is automatically removed during checkout

      • How do you get the GST removed? I've bought heaps from this seller but GST has always been there

        • On the desktop site, once you click "Secure Checkout" from the shopping cart the Duty and GST changes to zero. Australian IP, address and all.

          I grabbed four of them and was charged $153 (144 + 9).

You can't, they're gst registered. It just looks a bit strange on the checkout page at certain points but GST is very much added.

  • Oh wow. Had I not ordered my some Arctic P12s I would've gone onto this deal.

I don't think you're gonna miss out much. Arctic P12s is a really really good fan. Imagine paying same price as a A12x25 for 5 fans which is 95% as good.

    • Likewise. Managed to find P12s on Amazon for $13 a pop — though they were white, but they're internal facing in the cramped confines of my M1 case anyway, so no biggie.
Still tempted to get these considering it's pretty rare to see them at less than $50 a pop…

    This or this?

The 140mm is a bit cheaper.
Performance wise it is bigger and hence better?

    • Generally speaking (without looking at the specs) a larger fan can push the same amount of air at slower speeds (resulting in it being quieter), OR can push more air at the same speed (resulting in better airflow).

I'll always recommend to people to put the largest fan in their case (that their case is designed to fit).

Should buy this for my bathroom … the fan there is so annoying … :-)

140mm version is also on sale: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/561373

    Black version is +$4 extra

  • I got 4. Shipping extremely fast by DHL

  • How do these compare to Corsair RGB ones?

used to be able to get a box of p14s for $44 from amazon.au 5- or 6 in a box. noctua are way overpriced as are corsair. p12's same sort of price

    • No possible to find them at this price anymore.

      • because amazon.au stopped selling them

  • Nnooooo second A12x25 Newegg deal I've missed now :(

    • Keep your eyes there and turn on the notification.

  • I have 4 case fans (3 in the front and 1 in the rear), 1 CPU fan and 2 on my GPU.

I dont like the amount of noise that comes out of the PC…all fans are stock/basic ones. How would I go about finding out which ones are worth replacing (ie causing the most noise).

    (n00b here)

    • bend over and listen

    • I second listening to it, but you can unplug / software disable fans individually to help isolate the noise.. I spent weeks trying to figure out which of my fans was making the most noise by fiddling with fan controllers and only realised it was coming from the PSU fan after disconnecting every other fan in the system.

      • To be honest, wasn't expecting these responses. Occams razor in principle I guess.

When you refer to software disable fans @shaolinbear, do you mean via diabling via BIOS?

        • +1

You can use MSI Afterburner to set custom fan curves for your GPU. A lot of motherboards support custom fan curves either through the BIOS or a Windows application (Gigabyte's one is called SIV), but if all else fails just open the computer up and start unplugging fans. If you're going to do this, make sure you keep an eye on CPU temps because it could heat up very quickly if you're not paying attention.

          disabling via BIOS?

That or software called "MSI Afterburner".

There's always the old school way too by just sticking your finger in the blades to stop/start spinning :)

Benchmark the PC and monitor CPU and GPU temps.
Turn off the 3 in the front and 1 at the rear.
Benchmark again; see if the temps differ much.
