  • the website say its a nextg tablet so i'm assuming it's a 3g rather than a wifi one. i've had hands-on with all the tablet on the market and the xoom looked very well built hence why i think it's better than acer. the only thing that hold me back from getting one is i'm not sure if ice cream sandwich is coming to the xoom.

      • Hmm. That means the JB Hi Fi one would be cheaper. 'cause those specs don't mention any SIM related tech… and then this price would make a lot more sense.

FYI to potential purchasers, generally it doesn't make much sense to wait for the next model, or you'll keep waiting forever - but in this case the Xoom 2 is coming quite soon (I'd guess before Xmas) so they are running out the Xoom. So I think the Xoom 1 will get much cheaper quite soon - or if you'd prefer you can get the new model.

Anyone smell a now customary tablet fire(sale)

  • Next G? So is it a Telstra pre paid?

  • Can anyone confirm that this supports 3G connectivity though?
Because on the specifications it only states Wifi and Bluetooth.
    "NETWORK
    WiFi 802.11 a,b,g,n
Bluetooth Technology: Stereo Bluetooth® technology 2.1+EDR+HID"

    • I have just called called them and they have advised that this model is definitely 3G.
