Reusable bamboo cups are usually made from a melamine resin reinforced with bamboo fibres. I've been a bit wary about bamboo cups after this study came out about them: https://www.bfr.bund.de/de/presseinformation/2019/47/geschir…. So unless you know what filler they're using exactly, I'd err on the side of caution because it's not as benign as you think it might be.

Yup, Rayon or Viscose are terrible for the environment despite what all the brodouches selling it say, only Tencel is safely made (eucalyptus fibres).
