Just saw an ad on TV for Buy one get one free Digital cameras + Other deals. Similar to the 'buy one get one free Laptops' I guess.

Ends Tues 1st (Its some Melbourne Cup Sale or something)

    Most stores wouldn't carry many 7D's etc in stock.
    I would go early for those! In fact for any of the $1000+ cameras!
    They would not order in/ rain-check on this deal. It would be to reduce stock levels - clear models for new ranges for Xmas etc.

    Essentially, buy 1 overpriced camera, sell the other camera brand new at a reasonable price on ebay and end up with 70-80% off the first camera? Which would be a hell of a saving in anyones opinion!

    If I didn't snatch a camera recently from Dick Smiths I'd be interested! I'll put it this way, it's definately worth going into your nearest harveys for a look!

    So…

    1. Buy one camera
    2. Get another camera of the same type/price free
    3. ?????
    4. PROFIT!

      I just bought one last week for just under $400 so I'm hating myself right about now. It's a very nice camera though that does amazing videos. I think the cheapest I've seen is at Topbuy for $365 or so delivered and that might be a grey import so $499 for two is a good deal. Good luck to those who are planning to get one (or should I say two) of these.
