    • I got this email. When I click on “Start my free trial”, it takes me to google to log in to then proceed to YouTube, so I’m not sure posting the link would help?

      • Yes It will help and if it doesn't then it doesn't, worth a try, can you post that link?

  • Got one

  • +3

Op, can you please post the link that you got, might work and help us out

  • +1

I have only 1 month free trial and 3 months free trial is only for people who never had free trial in the past.

  • -4

So you got Woolies tracking what you buy, now you want to link it up to Google who tracks what you search and what you see? Connecting the physical you to the cyberspace you? All for 3 month of youtube? Seriously, if you want to sell youself out, at least for something worthwhile.

    • +9

      Pass the foil hats around…

      • +11

Tinfoil hat? You do know how Google and Woolworth Rewards make their money right? Ask yourself, is your personal shopping history worth only 3 month of youtube? At least go for a year of netflix or something.

        • +7

Does it really matter if woolworths know if you buy a pack of crisps?

        • +6

Sign up with accounts that you don't use so they don't get any data!

        • I've asked myself, I still need that foil hat.. They dont need 3mths of youtube to know what your buying/doing.. they've known that for years.

FWIW I've worked in marketing before.

    • +4

Lol overreaction much? I bet you believe 5G caused Covid too don't you.

    • +2

what they do with the data is "suggest" you products and companies, can always ignore those and go with something you choose.
my purchasing habits is not that interesting.

    • +18

I think this is actually a worthwhile question, so I spent a few minutes looking at the three linked Ts & Cs — didn't find anything specific, maybe you can:

Just in case I missed the bit about Woolies sharing any of my shopping behaviour details with Google, I wrote in directly to [email protected] — we'll see what they say.

      • +1

UPDATE — TL;DR version: No shopping details shared

Excerpt from email received 20 minutes ago:

Thank you for contacting Everyday Rewards in regards to our Youtube Premium offer.

I apologise for the delay in response we are experiencing a high number of customer enquiries at the moment, so we appreciate your patience in responding to you.

I can confirm that no details in regards to your shopping habits or purchase habits.

Once you complete the form and register for the offer, Woolworths will use these personal details solely for the purpose of attaching your registered Everyday Rewards card number to the unique offer link generated for you.

No further information will be shared with Youtube Premium.

EDIT: OP, if you think it's worthwhile, you're welcome to add the quote to your deal post : )

    enjoy ad-free and background play

PSA: if you're only interested in those 2 things like me (on Android), just download the YouTube Vanced app for free.

    • If you're on iOS consider jailbreaking and the tweak YouTube Reborn.

    • -1

Can you post a direct link to the app? I've looked up Google store (I have a Samsung S8), downloaded the app but it does absolutely nothing. I read recent reviews of users saying the same thing. There's only a "How to" and "Start" button, when I click start it just attempts to sync/mirror devices?

Main account has a Indian subscription, tried it with an account that has never used Youtube Premium.

3 Month Trial Via Woolworths, link redirects to https://www.youtube.com/premium?acc=code

    1 Month Trial without https://www.youtube.com/premium

    • I can't quite catch whether you're saying the 3 month trial was available on the account you tried that has never used Youtube Premium?

      • +1

Correct, as advertised and only a 1 month trail was available otherwise.

    • Thanks tried a few accounts and finally worked on one.

  • -5

So is youtube premium subject the same amount of woke censorship that regular youtube is? I'd hate to encourage that type of behaviour by actually paying them money to do it?

  • +3

Just run adblocker on firefox, seems to have done a recent update and stopped all the ads playing (although youtube does throw up an playback error which i spent a while troubleshooting before realising it was just the adds not playing..)

    • +2

I use uBlock Origin on Chrome and have never had any issues with blocking YouTube ads.

That said, this is a good deal for those who use YouTube on platforms other than Android (where you can download YouTube vanced) or web browsers.

  • Hi all, anyone know how to stop downloading app from play store? I tried parent control for my kids, but they still managed to downloads shit games app’s. thanks

    • +1

Yes… Take your phone away from them… :) On a serious note there is an app called "Google Family Link for Parents" (made by Google LLC). You will need to use that to setup the process including any approvals, etc.

Read on Google Play store —> top left corner button, bottom of the menu "Parent Guide" - Headings "Supervise your Child's Account" and "Get Family Link"

      • Thanks will try😊

  • other than ad free, can't see any other valuable perks for the premium

      YouTube Music

  • “your subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis at the standard subscription price, currently $14.99/month”
Why have I been getting charged $19.99 per month for my subscription? 😭

    • family vs individual?

    • +1

      Probably a family subscription

      • Individual. Says family is $29.99.

        • +4

Because companies love doing that, for your continued support and loyalty you shall pay more than everyone else :)

    ???

  • One thing I have noticed with LG TV (running WebOS 2.0), is that everytime there is a Youtube App update, there seems to be more and more advertisements creeping in.

  • +2

I got the same but I'll still recommend people the Indian deal 👍

    • +2

      Why not both?

This for the first 3 months and then Indian/Argentinian YouTube afterwards!

  • +3

YouTube Vanced is all you need

    • Our iOS buddies still need something ;)

  • I just wish that Google put a bit more effort in marketing (or packaging better deals with) YouTube Premium.
YouTube Music's offerings and features are just absolutely hopeless in comparison to Spotify and doesn't add any value at all to the Premium subscription.
Tie the subscription with some Google Play App/Movie/Game credits or just partner with some other service provider or something, Google!

    • plus ditching google play music that at present comes free with youtube premium means you get less value

  • +1

    Thanks Woolies !

  • +4

If I start free trial then immediately deactivate/cancel membership does premium stay until trial end date?

    • Need to know this as well..

    • +2

Yes premium will end once trial period expires

      • -1

Just tried to cancel and got a warning saying I will lose all premium benefits if I proceed to cancel membership. Looks like might have to set a calendar instead.

      • "Yes, premium stays until trial end date"?
        or
"YouTube premium ends as soon as you cancel, regardless of when your trial end date is"?

I assume you mean the former?

      • Sorry about the confusion. Yes, you can cancel immediately and still keep yt premium until it expires

    • +1

      Hey!

Wanted to know this for myself and decided to read the conditions again. When you cancel it says something about the features ending after your next billing cycle. The trial has set the billing date 3 months from when you first activate it, so I mustered up the courage to deactivate it after I signed up.

I do believe it works :)

https://ibb.co/fNLNczr << screenshot of the end screen when you decativate it showing premium membership till end of trial period date.

    • Cancellation will take effect at the end of the free trial or then current billing period and you will still be able to access YouTube Premium until then.

Don't need this so someone can have it https://www.youtube.com/premium?acc=ZQILXGMWGOLS

  • I already have Indian premium subscription. Use mine if needed. https://www.youtube.com/premium?acc=ZGYREBS6ZYTR

  • Why would you get this when you can you use Youtube Vanced? lol

    • +7

You do know YouTube is available on many platforms other than Android right? PS4, Chromecast, non-Android smart tv etc.. just to name a few. Can you use vanced on those platforms?

    • Have you side loaded it to Android TV?

      Would I need air mouse?

  • I've never held a youtube premium trial, yet when i click through the link that I received in the email, I'm directed to youtube premium page and it still displays only 1 month trial. Will it change to 3 months after I sign up? Any advice?

    • Saying the same for me.

  • Would be great but already have the VPN subscription. Pain to move all my fave saved videos to another account

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

  • Worked, upgraded to Family Plan also, looks like the $14.99/mth for 3 months stays, and was billed instantly the additional $8 for the upgraded plan

    • What, worked for you? I'm still getting a 500 error. On all browsers.

  • Can you use one card as a payment method if trying to use this deal with multiple accounts? For example netflix doesn't allow the same card for different trials.

  • 3 months free of Youtube Premium or 3 months free Spotify Premium ? Currently use Deezer, thinking of trying another service, maily for music. Which one do you recommend ?

  • I subscribed and it listed my google pay credits (built up from google rewards) as a payment option, so no credit card needed for me.

  • Is it possible to get ANY free trial again?

It says in the Android App: "Account Not eligible for this Offer" and I tried two different accounts in the YouTube APP.

SHOULD I SIGN UP TO A NEW GOOGLE ACCOUNT VIA BROWSER? Will this work in the App on the same Android phone?

  • Y'all don't forget the fine print:

"Only available to registered Everyday Rewards members based in Australia who have received a promotional code from Everyday Rewards between 10 August and 30 August 2020 and are not current or former YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Premium, YouTube Red or Google Play Music subscribers and have not previously participated in a YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Premium, YouTube Red or Google Play Music trial (Eligible Member). "

    1) If you've had a previous trial or membership you can only have one (1) month this time around

    2) Don't forget you are handing over ALL your accumulated Everyday Rewards data to Google and vice versa, and your tinfoil hat can't protect you, but my VPN and address settings for Antarctica might ;)

  • +2

I'd caution you from doing it for just 3 months. When I cancelled my YouTube Premium subscription the ads were horrible! If you Google it you'll see a lot of people have the same experience, whether it's on purpose or not by YouTube it is not fun to be a post premium user…

    • omg the ads are so repetitive. And you can't "hide" ads to get new ones (that arent as annoying) without agreeing to Google reading your emails/search history even more.

The non animated box ads at the bottom of vids (also appearing among your video feed) are even worse - usually its promoting some utter shit no one cares about - some 3rd world dude's YT gaming account, PUBG "hacks"

  • thanks

  • This seems baseless thing or misleading customer from woolies as usual.
I got a new card, and my YouTube account never had any YouTube trail.

I tried it, but it is giving 500 server error which may be a technical issue.

I contacted support/chat, and as expected, they just wasted around 40 minutes. So, didn't feel like I should waste more than that for around $20 so just gave up.

Firstly, the support said it is targeted and not everyone though eligible may not get it.
Then ask me to contact YouTube (even though the 500 error was in their site, not YouTube)
When I insisted and said the same thing, the support wasted more time saying he or she will talk to the supervisor. Then finally asked my all details and said they will investigate into the matter and may contact me rather than solving the technical problem at their end (I could see some other people also reporting the same problem here). Too much hassle for $20 so gave up.
So, as usual, very much unprofessional and misleading customers.

    • Just got a new card too and have same problem. Was wondering whether we needed to use the everyday account and collect some point b4 we can access this deal?

      • Just an update, I waited a few days but I can access 3 months premium now :)
