    The Asko range has been made there for a few years after being taken over by Gorenje. And, tellingly, the quality has plummeted. Do a bit of reading and my experience is all too common: I had an Asko washing machine, purchased partly on the basis that they were supposed to be a superior quality Scandi-made machine, but little did I know. Well, they might have been once, but no longer. It leaked, the front panel rusted, the control panel has been replaced, the detergent drawer doesn't fully seal, enamel cracked and broke off around the door and detergent panel, and for a so-called fully suspended drum it was terribly noisy. Ended up giving it away.
