Poor info, expensive annual fee, some of the bonus points don't apply till second year. No dice.

  • The ANZ black card frequent flyer far better value

    • but I just close my ANZ last week as the annual fees was going to hit me.. rotation of multiple cards is important 90K points for $250 is not bad after all..and close it after you get the points.

    • Yep, nothing special here

  • I think they will bring in better offer after 5th Aug depending on the uptake of the current offer.

Note, these does not count for eligible purchase:

    Interest
    Fees and charges
    Cash or ATM cash advances
    Cash equivalent transactions
    Gambling transactions
Payments to the Australian Tax Office
    Government charges
    BPAY ® or similar transactions
    Refunds
Balance transfers debited from the card account

    • Doesn't look like it. Offer still appears the same (extended).

      • yup - unfortunately.. can't wait for ever, applied and approved - need to quickly get the bonus points and move on!

        • Haha, I'm in the same position - have been on the same St George card for 6 months now. Way too long (although St George is great for Krisflyer points on everyday spend as well)! Did you go for the Altitude points or the Qantas version?

  • Does anyone know if that eligibility condition of "any" Westpac Card instead of "any Altitude Rewards" in last 12 months was always there? Or recently got changed to "any" card?

    • Existing Westpac customers who currently hold an Earth Classic, Earth Platinum, Earth Platinum Plus, Earth Black, Altitude Classic, Altitude Platinum or Altitude Black credit card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer

      Basically any Westpac CC..

  • Contactless transactions is such a great selling point, so unique! /s

    • It is for them (on iPhones at least). They came very late to the party…

  • Isn't this the normal sign up bonus? Anyway these transfer to frequent flyer programs at 3:1, Airpoints at 180:1.

  • Not the best choice for bonus or ongoing points. The ONLY thing going for them is that you can combine with a bank-issued Amex and even that is not the best value…

  • But the annual fee…

    Where's the bargain?
