Looks like a good deal for 4800H 16GB+1650ti 256GB+1T $1,629 @ Lenovo Education Store
It is cheaper than 4600H+1650Ti($1799 list price)

Ships in 2 Business Days

Shame it cannot be customized with 256G ssd + 1T hdd only, I want 512ssd but sales rep says no due to it's been packed and ready to be shipped in 2 Business Days.

Screen also little bit bummer 60Hz, but at least it's 100% sRGB, and a real gamer will choose a fancy external gaming monitor:)

So the real question becomes, is it worth an additional $300 ($2k price) for

    i7 Gen10
    512SSD
    144Hz 15.6"
    2060 graphics

    In the HP Omen

I would love to see that 1TB mechanical drive yanked out

  • Can somebody please check a part for me on the Lenovo education store? I need a spare charger that goes with the Lenovo Legion Y530 laptops.

  • Check it out Mechrevo Code 01, 4800H, 16G, 512G, 15.6 100% sRGB, 1.47kg, 91Wh, 54W TDP with about just under $1000 AUD.

      • It appears this is sold out. Could be a great deal when back in stock though
Edit: might not be out of stock as everything is appearing out of stock, suspect will need VPN turned on which i cant do right at this moment

you can use an agent buyer like SuperBuy to get them to purchase it for you and ship it

A bloke from reddit bought a Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro13 2020, and I imagine the process would be the same.

Have to pay customs+shipping but you get a lot for the money vs local stuff.
I imagine warranty would be an issue also.

Alternatively it looks like a couple of places are planning to import and sell locally - Aftershock PC, Infinity Gaming.

        • Where did you hear that the Code01 might be sold locally? Tom from XMG/Shenker told me to contact all those Aussie computer stores I've never heard of. The VIA Pro 15 and an Eluktronics model are also nearly 100% identical

          • @Bellenus: After some research, I found Infinity IS bringing 4800H to their O5 series in a month or so (check that page on Infinity Gaming website) You can pre-order from Scorptec and possibly others but given the worldwide shortage of AMDs 4000 series chips having supply/demand issues from underestimating the huge consumer demand, who knows if or when we'll even see these devices… I expect Ryzen 4k laptops to skyrocket in price, perhaps not immediately, but I'll be buying now just in case
