Was a good deal UNTIL I found out it was vodafail…
Ahhhhhh my first lol of the day, and I'm not even out of bed. EXTREME!
can you actually use the 8Gb of data over 60day though ?
Depends on your location. I get 300kb/s at home so 8gigs wouldn't be a problem downloading overnight
have you noticed any improvements since they starting upgrading their network ?
Not really, connection is spotty on some stops along the western line. And when you get to the city, its just too congested. I think i get around 20-30kbps in the cbd. Been going on for about 6 months
I think any improvements will have a lot more to to with half of their network users jumping ship, thereby giving them a free 'upgrade' to capacity-per-user.
Well i think 30kbps is the more normal average
well its classed as a 60 day recharge so guessin its 8gb over 60 days not broken up into 4 + 4
Just be careful as I was told last week that their data packages don't support iphones (although they were working on it so it may have been fixed by now).
Although seems to be unofficial workaround:
Just now I called to Customer support of RedBull mobile and they confirmed that data package is still not working on Iphone.
hence its of no use to Iphone users :(
so sad about the company who can't support the largest mobile users :(
"*Only available for the month of October"
Does that mean its only good for 2 months, then it resorts to the normal access 30 plan ($39 for 30days and 4gb)?
Or is the offer ongoing?
Just got an email back. 30day Credit is only applied in first month then reverts back
I wouldn't bother, given the terrible vf reception wherever I am.
I can't even get Vodafone 3G at work and haven't been able to for about 2 years.
The $365 for one year unlimited calls and 5GB/month prepaid looks good.
ie $30/month, and no bill-shock. 13/18 included. What is the catch? (network issues aside)
No P2P, fair enough.
What happens if your 5GB is exceeded in a month?
Friend of mine switched to Red Bull but due to shocking Vodafone data speeds ported across to amaysim. He's now happy :)
Vodafone is simply a broken network — even in places where the upgrades have occurred.
been on amaysim for 4 months now with not one hassle :D
Do you still get $39 credit to use on other stuff, eg. premium sms?
does anyone know if this carrier uses the new 850 MHz network of vodafone? If yes, I dont mind getting it as vodafone doesnt seem to have any network issues where I am. My wife has been using vodafone for 2 months now with no issues. She was on optus before which was absolute crap.
ah shitty network…forget about it…if only telstra resell their nextg network..
Pass…I actually like being able to be contacted by phone
For those that want EXTREME access to Vodafails shitty network :)
Good prices though!
