  • Does it support RTSP for local saves?

    • Not sure what protocol is used. But you can play recordings saved on SD CARD (in the doorbell) on your mobile

  • Is it 1080p or 720p camera. Specs list both?

    • 1080p

    • be warned at 1080p the frame rates might make it unuseable. 720p perhaps best.

once you factor in batteries and chime, you are better off buying Orion doorbell from Bunnings. Compatible with grid connect and tuya app. and easy returns/warranty too.

    • But that Orion is hardwired and only 720p.

      • +1

There are two versions. Battery and hardwired. The battery one is 1080p for sure. Bought one yesterday

    • Hi svsvk, do you happen to know if the bunnings one works with Google Home? I'm hoping when you push the button it can trigger my google minis and hubs?

  • $73.99 is the minimum now! Only free delivery with code

    • Black without chime is still $63.99. Just can’t do it with white.

      • White is out stock

  • Bought the cocoon branded doorbell from Aldi which is basically exactly the same model bu in Silver color: https://cocoonproducts.com.au/cocoonconnect/smart-wi-fi-door… for $17 when it went on sale.

There are a couple of issues with this type of doorbell:

    1. Once the PIR sensor is triggered, the video recording starts after a bit of delay so it basically misses the person that triggered the sensor.
    2. The delay from someone pressing a doorbell to me getting a notification on my phone and then the chime ringing is too long (at least 10 seconds)
    3. When the doorbell rings and I tap to answer on my phone, it just takes too long to connect to the doorbell and most of the times it fails and I have to keep retrying.
    • +4

The delay will be more evident if doorbell has low signal. 10 seconds is too high. Under normal circumstances the delay is 2-3 seconds. "We do not know about coccon, This info is about Ahatech Video Door Bell"
You have to keep in mind it is a door bell and not a surveillance camera. Normally when the door bell is pressed person is expected to wait a few seconds before moving away. Unless it's Aus Post delivery.😁 They put the card in mailbox, ring bell and run like "Catch me if you can".
Chime has large selection approximately 40 tunes to choose from. On the door bell itself it's simple ding dong sound

      • Hahahah they are quick AU Post

    • $17!!!
was that the ask price or the price after a few weeks of not being sold?

      • Price after few weeks of not being sold and it also came with batteries.

  • Does it play "Take on Me" when you press the button?

    • Place an ad on fiver to hire some dudes that will sing and record for you and you can play it on your Bluetooth speaker inside the house 😁

  • Batteries are not included!?

    • Batteries are not included

  • Do you deliver to Canberra… and is it free shipping? I am getting a problem with delivery address.

  • I bought one doorbell but it does not connect to my wifi network with Telstra modem. There is no information on their website that it won't work with any particular modem. one IT guy from aha tech came to home as He was living near by and he also can not get it work as Well and asked me to give couple of days to try and if it still does not work I will get refund. but nothing happened and then when I asked to return for refund to that it guy he asked me to contact office. I sent email to sales and response I got is that I can return the doorbell for aha tech credit which I can not use anyway and I replied asking for refund and since then no reply at all. I wouldn't buy from this guys ever. They do not care about customer.

make sure the wifi is set to 2.4G, and the signal strength is good., perhaps play around with the security settings and see what works WPA/WPA2/TKIP/AES

      • Tried everything even their IT guy can not work it out. Basically I have no support from Ahatech
