    Use SAVE40 to get 3 for $52

  • Does this work with kogan smart home app?

    • it's zigbee, it needs a hub, such as hubitat, samsung smartthings hub

      • Philips hue bridge does not work?

        • No, hue bridge only works for limited number of non philips accessories

  • is this IP rated for outdoor use?

    • Don't think it's good for Outdoor use.

    • I use mine outdoors, seems fine as long as it's not getting wet..

      • …and not stolen too, as they only connected through magnet attached with a 3M

Talking about 3M, what people use to relocate this thing that won't damage your paint?

  • I wish it can measure the light intensity too (lumens)

  • Great deal. JB had one on special (down from $39 to about $27) but were out of stock. I’m glad I missed out. 3 for $52 is brilliant. Thanks

    • $52.5 to be exact; save 50c for maccas ice cream :)

$52.20 showing up for me :-) updated

      • Then you save another 50c then you have $1.

        • Then you can go to the dollar store and buy something else

Will this work with Philips hue bridge? Cheers.

      • The vid shows you can control Hue through the SmartThings app, but doesn’t say whether SmartThings sensors can be used with the Hue hub.

  • store name in title plz.tia

  • Bought 3, thanks OP! now to find the battery deals :)

  • Purchased 3, now is the time to figure out what to do with them…

  • Thanks OP. Got 4 for $69.60
The only downside is the CR2 battery which is somewhat expensive compared to a CR2032 that most other smart PIR sensors use.

    • Yeah you can bulk buy them on eBay. Still not cheap but hopefully only have to replace once a year.

  • Wish some of the other stuff was back in stock! The old SAVE40 strikes again

  • Anyone having issues adding more than one?

    • yep ozbargained

    • Yes… I guess there is only one left.

  • Great price. In the process of planning how i can use things like this in my home. What are people using these for? Without a pet and already having a burglar alarm I cant think of any clever ways to use them.

    • Use it to trigger lights. Kind of like a sensor light but linked to sunset and sunrise.

    • Use this for lights (made my toilet light to be smarter) to wash hand without touching the light switch during this rona season.

I also integrated it with google home mini through hubitat to inform me when my kids wake up while I watch movie at night

  • Just got 4 in time! Thanks OP

  • oos?

The magnets and ball mount are great. Performance and range is good. And it's small and not ugly.

Downside is that it will cost you about $10 per year per sensor for batteries, depending on how often it gets triggered and how far it is from repeater/hub. It makes all these Arlo, Ring, home monitoring etc. subscriptions cheap in comparison.

    • Batteries can be bought in bulk from eBay. Shouldn't cost more than $2-3 per year to run

  • FYI for any DIY-enthuiasts out there, these can be used with zigbee2mqtt on HomeAssistant, without the need for a SmartThings Wi-Fi hub.

    • You still need smartthings hub for zigbee reception unless you have other zigbee hub.

      • can use a CC2531. no point buying Hubs these days.

        • That still classify as hub

  • Anyone have any issue with submitting an order, the order bouncing, but the (debit) card still being charged? Conveniently no support until the weekend but received no confirmation number to really track the transaction.

    • I had the same issue last time. Needed to dispute it with the Credit card company

      • Thanks for your reply, were RACV receptive at all in kickstarting the charge reversal? The lack of order ID makes it a bit hard to get a paper trail on this. My card issuer said the same but got to wait in limbo for 4-7 business days.

        • No response from RACV. I sent the email I sent to RACV customer care to assist with the dispute process.

@MANU7D: That’s disheartening, thanks for your reply

    • Yes same problem here. Tried multiple times, saying card unsuccessful and then still seeing a 'pending' charge.

No email, no confirmation. Waiting game I guess.

Be aware that you don't need the Samsung WiFi hub unless you want the routing/mesh functions, otherwise you just need the V3 hub (or other brand Zigbee alternative) and use your current router / WiFi setup.

I am STILL WAITING for a refund from the 40% off code fail that RACV Smart Home SmartThings had back on May 19th. I had to do forms with my bank for charge backs and have only received money for one. BEWARE buying from the RACV store, your money can disappear into the NETHER!!!!

  • I wonder why the package takes bit of time to send, last time I order this item from samsung education store and it took 1 day to arrive (from nsw to vic)

    • I haven't got a shipping confirmation yet.. Probably due to covid-19 it takes time. Have to call them and check the status. I don't see a way to track the order online.

      • Got it today; sent by express mail on Friday.

      • Mine arrived yesterday. Aus Post couldn’t identify that was from RACV so it showed up on their tracking as coming from “Unknown”.
