This is the recently listed Synology DS920+ 4-bay NAS. Also recently listed on Amazon US. I'm unsure if its worth the hassle because it is a US import (unsure of warranty situation) but coupled with the ~5% upsized cashrewards it makes for the best price for this new product.

Not if your a prime member - free shipping. The skycomp deal is $43 delivery to Brisbane
Agreed. I don't think it's worth it. What's $30 saving for the hassle of import, getting travel adapter or other solution, cost of warranty claims, etc.
That said it is technically cheaper so I'm not gonna vote.
$919 plus delivery at the moment
Damn they bumped it up now
This actually isn't that bad, you can probably try your luck with Synology support and try to get a AU adapter.
I know Western Digital will send you AU adapters when you buy one of the US EasyStores through Amazom, just open a support ticket.
Amazon US support can also be quite good, I've had manufacturers refuse to refund something under warranty but Amazon US chose to do it anyway; including covering a return shipping label all the way to the states!
Why bother risk it for a $900 piece of kit when you can get a local version for $30 more.
I'd agree generally but Amazon is better than most. I'd still go local though…
I haven't had any experience with synology in this regard. Posting more to see people's opinions. I agree it's still not cheap but with Amazon providing post sales support I felt it worth at least mentioning.
I think it's comes with a US power plug.
Well it would, it's the US site :)
this is no longer available from Amazon directly - 3rd party prices currently upwords of $1050 :(
Not a deal. Cheaper here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/548828
Plus local seller.
