Keep in mind the cash back doesnt process until after your first bill is paid. So 3 or 4 months depending on bill cycle

  • EnergyAustralia products

    I think they meant "services".

  • Is it worth it?

    • Who said anything about solar. It’s excluded in the terms.

Cashback is not available on solar electricity plans.

I realise these offers are probably proposed by the vendor not CR…
In this case they penalize people trying to do the"right thing" and installing solar… Not so lucrative costumers who consume less energy from the grid?

  • These posts feel like a paid advert

  • I am with AGL and I just compared.. seems like its going to cost me about the same pm but this is a $200 cashback and seems $50 credit on gas and electricity so total of $300 to move over… seems good..

But do they offer monthly billing and do they have the nice stats like AGL to show usage etc?

    • No monthly billing. Yes to nice stats. They break it down to each hour so you can see exactly when you are using your electricity.

Price is not bad but they are the second largest carbon emitter in the country. I’ll pass, thank you!

  • So to confirm the wording, if I have an Energy Australia account (not currently active) but sign up with a new premises, then I do get the cash back?

    • Yes. Existing EA customers moving premises will earn cashback "Cashback will only be paid on new EnergyAustralia accounts, which includes existing EnergyAustralia customers moving into new premises"

Just remember EnergyAustralia is Hong Kong owned now. This may be important for some Australians before giving them your business.

      Hong Kong good, China bad.

  • Says that it cannot sign up online if I have a solar? Is that right?

  • If I have gas with Energy Australia but electricity with someone else, and I switched my electricity to EA using this deal, does that qualify?
