can it support 4K?
Yep - just a heads up. I have a 30" Apple Cinema; functional and don't want to upgrade at this stage. You need an active DVI connection (which has a DVI connector and an additional USB) for 1440p@60hz. I then have the a converter of Mini Display Port to regular Display Port to have output from a modern graphics card (with no DVI-D port).
not a deal IMO, there's cheaper out there on eBay. Also serious doubts about this actually doing 4K, dual link DVI is max 2560x1600@60hz and passive dual link adapters aren't a thing.
