Anyone know if similar deals are changing/ending in NSW?

    • -1

      Same here for NSW

      • Same deal you mean? Or same rules changing?

        • The rebate is for VIC so the changes is only for Victoria, there will be no change for NSW since you will only get STC rebate in NSW.

          • @samehada: Do you service nsw? If so do you have a price?

            • @Jackson: pls check your inbox

  • what company is this for? the link to the deal goes to a snipped out coupon which doesnt mention company anywhere. (yes I know it's mentioned at the bottom of this page with the 'i am associated with sunlineenergy.com.au' but for frig's sake, if you're going to advertise something and try to not appear like a bunch of fly by nighters, then post the deal better please, with all relevant information.

  • Sunline energy. Anyone here have had personal experience with them?

  • VIC Solar Rebate Value reducing after June 30, so be quick to put in your application before 30/6.

So where exactly is this written?
Post July 1 fact sheet on Vic gov site doesn't say anything about reduction.

It’s reducing from $1888 to $1850 from what I see.

    • It reduces every year, its designed to balance out the reduction in cost solar becomes cheaper (i.e. early adopters aren't penalized)

    Crap Solar!

  • For those who asked about battery system, we don't do battery and you also can't get rebate for battery if you get rebate for solar system, and to be honest it is silly why you should get rebate for battery instead of solar system.

With the pricing of 7kw battery at $8000 - $10000 you merely save the difference of 15c/kwh between your electricity price and the feed-in price (25c - 10c) and you merely save it for just 7kwh I don't think it is worth it.

For those who are in those new development in Western suburbs like Caroline Spring, Point Cook, Derrimut please send through your NMI and Meter No which is on your electricity bill or you can get the meter number from your meter. Many properties in this areas have an export limit so we will need to check that for you.

  • If you are building your house, you have to wait until you get "Permit of Occupancy" to be able to apply for rebate.

    • Does that mean the certificate of occupancy needs to be issued before the 30th June?

      • I'm afraid yes, you need to put in your rebate application before 1/7

  • Sent you an email just now OP. Will wait for your response.

  • Hey Op, I've noticed that Jinko has stopped answering their phones. If there's a warranty claim, how would you handle that?

    • +1

You be left on your own as this company won't be there in a few years time.
There no way they can do a compliant safe and high quality install at the price there quoting above.

Jinko is still operating where doing warranty claims almost every week for businesses that gone broke or Phoenix so they can avoid helping there customers.

      • +1

Independent inspector must inspect all solar installation for compliance. Inspector won't pass it if the installation doesn't complied with regulation. It is now much stricter than in the past.

There is also no guarantee that the company charge you higher price doesn't go bankrupt. So using your concept if they charge too high, not enough customer then they also can also be bankrupt.

This is a limited time deal not something everyday price.
