Just downloaded the Transit public transport app and saw an Ola "Free Ride" button. This button gives the code TRANSIT for $20 off your first ride.
The current referral bonus is $10 to the referee and $20 to the referer, so if you don't care about the referer then this is the best deal for a new Ola customer.
That's not Ola's fault, and I have used amex on Ola without issue.

just sharing, my experiences with taking many ola and uber trips in Sydney.
with uber i got well-presented car and drivers, good English and seems educated enough and we can have a friendly meaningful conversation (if i want to)
with ola i got bad-presented car and drivers, thick accent hard to understand english, and the whole trip whingeing about how unfair is ola, police, Australia government to them…..
same in Melbourne
I think ola is ok.
I did have an issue with consistently underestimated trip prices on taxify (bolt), and Didi failing to include tolls in the trip estimates despite planning a route through tolls.
So I'd be happy to take ola or uber, with a slight preference for the latter.

I'll make a new acc and check, may be an old code and they just didn't take it out

Not good with AMEX. I have no problem, friend used amex, it froze his card.
