      • Im not going to say anything again…

        • Fair enough 😂

  • -2

restocked then next click already gone after spamming, sales history says 8 secs so pretty bs, never had a chance for this 'lottery'.

    • 8 seconds for the last 100 not 150. Would have taken longer :)

      • ye so more bs basically then lmao

  • I made it all the way to thank you for your order but the airpods did not appear in my purchase history? :( Awww

    • on the same boat here. Thanks! Your order was placed.
Estimated delivery: By Mon, 29 Jun But "This order was not successful. Order cost has not been included in the total amount. "

  • Thanks for the tips guys, finally got one after the 10th attempt this month… My wife should be happy!

    • what were the tips again? please for future purposes haha

      • Hey mate I had it in my cart ready to pay at the time of the drop! Took a while but it went through!

  • Is tab any good? And is $199 a really great price?

    • +1

looks like its only 2gb ram, which is not enough for android I think.. but if you only want a tablet to watch youtube and browsing the web, then it should be fine

  • Finally managed to cop the airpods! Lost it from my cart in the last drop so had to do it the long way and still managed it. So I guess it's possible if you're quick…and lucky!

  • Order confirmed email!
Scored at 4:15pm according to sell history. I left it in cart with the code applied as advised and nearly missed a heartbeat during spamming action when it flahsed "your seller changed the details of the item.." or something along that line at the top (where it usually reads item is out of stock…) but eventually went through.

    • would I go back on my neg vote previously? maybe, maybe not, but the pain of getting this one was much, much, much more than usual I must say.

  • +2

Okay time to give back to the amazing OzBargain community. This is how I did it:

    1) Goto the item that you wish to buy.
    2) Where it says "xxx sold", click on it and it will take you to a page which shows you the items sold in the past.
    3) To the right of that page there is a "Buy it now" button (https://i.imgur.com/7k1GCPr.jpg).
    4) Once the time of the drop starts, click on that button and make sure you open it in a new tab (Chrome on MacOS I hold down the "command" key and click, I think Chrome in Windows is "ctrl").
    5) Check the new tab and see if it's the payment page, if not then try step 4 again.
    6) Hopefully you're fast enough to put in your CC details and coupon code, then finally CHECKOUT!

!!! IMPORTANT - DO NOT CLOSE THAT CHECKOUT WINDOW IF ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK !!!
If you're unlucky like me (RNGesus has not blessed you with good RNG) and checkout returns an error because the item is now sold out, do not fear!
    7) Assuming that there is another drop, wait for the next drop to start (this time you are READY!), spam away at that "Confirm and pay button".

I have tried going through the number of sold before, but I still find spamming the refresh on the item page until buy it now appears more successful since I don’t need to keep going back to that sold page etc..

      • During the 12PM drop, I was refreshing the item page and by the time to buy it now button appeared, it was already sold out.

I'd much rather force the buy it now than to wait for the button to appear, then click on it.

Aus Post are a joke… watch didn't come despite express delivery meant for today. Lack of scans too.

  • Got the Applewatch today with a US charging head. Same for others?

    • +4

Yep confirmed earlier in thread it is the US version (people have spoken with apple about warranty etc). Recommend reading through this thread.

    • Didn't even open the Box, sent it back straight to the seller, Thanks to this thread for informing it's US Stock

      • You could have sold it for a small profit easily to some one who didn't care about it being from the US?

        • Yea think there were quite a few here willing to take if off your hands

      • What was your objection with the US model?

        • +3

          It probably comes down to one or more of the following;

          • Warranty will be handled by the store seller or Apple US - so its a 'post back' situation likely at your cost.
          • They likely will only give 12 months warranty.
          • Since it is a 'grey import' its value isn't the same as a Apple Retail AU version (ie for the reduced warranty)
          • Although discounted here - it seems these sellers would have normally wanted to sell it at full price as that is what the fixed value discount is based on - which given the choice a 'normal' buyer would not purchase at full price. So therefore the actual discounted value is less then advised.
          • Additional cost to the buyer of a USB charging plug / device as the supplied plug is US. ewaste hate for not being able to use the packaged charger.
          • Reduced immediate resale value. If that is you goal on this purchase.
          • Not wanting to actively support grey market imported goods.
          • Feeling like you may have been deceived by the seller for not making the version more obvious
          • Feeling like you have been deceived by ebay for all of the above and not actively giving full disclosure of the items sold in these deals in a timely manner where a reasonable buyer has time to decide on the value of the offer.
    • @willt What city are you in? Auspost fumbled the express delivery for me (Brisbane)

      • Same here in Brisbane - meant to be delivered on Tuesday but no update as of now

        • Any scans since NSW? Hoping for today

  • Yuk. My glass containers were sent by couriers please. Express my a$$

    • Same here. and still waiting for tracking to be updaated (no update since they provided tracking No.)

    • Not pleased at all.

    • Haven't had a couriers please delivery in ages. Most places use fastway for me, and in my area fastway is much faster and more reliable than aus post (except express aus post).

    • Did you get a couriers please tracking number or Aus post? I had a CP van outside and I thought it might’ve been my watch but I’ve been tracking on aus post.

    • Anyone received their glass containers yet?

      • Nope. Parcel tracking still says "Parcel has been scheduled for pickup." (since 20/6)

      • No glass containers yet either.

        • I've opened a dispute so it gets recorded rather than just direct pm.

Apple Watch posted Tuesday 23/06/20 and estimated delivery Thursday 25/06/20. Received it Wednesday 1:30pm.
No bubble wrap but the watch box itself sufficiently protects the watch inside. The box is 10 times bigger than I expected a watch to be boxed!
The wife didn't care about the US power plug. She didn't care about the lack of warranty.

I thought I had secured another pair of Airpods Pro (yes the wife also took my first pair) but it didn't go through the payment transaction after getting the order placed confirmation. Tried all day and failed. I liked the Airpods Pro so much that I ended up in Officeworks price beating Rosman Computers for $316.35. Not a bad price really considering Ebay sellers are asking for $280 - $300.

    • +2

The warranty length is actually still the same though - one year international warranty + one year claiming it through the seller. Only difference is probably the plug.

      • We have an Apple tree at our place so the US power plug was not going to be used anyway. I did explain that the warranty on the second year will be a hassle through the seller but she was never going to return her prize to Ebay.

        • Can anyone confirm if the ECG function works on these watches, considering they are US model?

          • +1

            @IMadeYouReadThis: Yeah, it works

            • @Poppin:

              Yeah, it works

              Legend! thanks mate

            • @Poppin: Did it work straight out of the box when you activated it in Australia?
I heard you needed to use a workaround since it somehow detects that you're not in a supported country.

              • @titanity: You have to do a workaround. The country detection is by cell tower I read.

          • +1

@IMadeYouReadThis: I was actually looking to get the watch for ECG and lucky it was the US version on sale.

I currently have ecg enabled and am very happy. The workaround is actually to get the ecg feature on your iPhone because the firmware on all Apple watch from US has it inherently enabled in the software it’s just missing from your iPhone software in Australia.

      • Yeah, the warranty will almost be the same experience. The main difference is that you won't be able to go directly to Apple after the first year for ACL-based coverage - you'll have to do that through the eBay retailer who will apply their own interpretation of ACL, so you may or may not have to fight for your rights depending on the situation.

Can always buy AppleCare for the peace of mind, but it's not cheap either…

        • Can you actually purchase AppleCare on Apple Aus site??

          • +1

            @cloudie9: Yes, you can

          • @cloudie9: Yeah AppleCare is still sold in Australia despite the diminished value with ACL coverage - I bought it for my own Apple Watch because I received one as a gift in Japan, so no ACL coverage here.

AppleCare is still good for these US Apple Watches, but for all the Apple products you get accidental damage coverage and get more than one year warranty if you're overseas and have a problem (not much use at the moment though).

  • +1

Probably this is the tablet which will go on sale tomorrow

    • +1

Very underwhelming specs. 2GB oh ram will make it infuriatingly sluggish. 32gb of storage…
      Good lord!

      • It depends on what you would use it for.
2GB ram just means less multitasking and no heavy gaming.
It would be good for media and light gaming.
At $199 it is ok. Plus this gets android 10 in September.
Lots of positive reviews about this budget tablet.
I have a old 2GB tablet and it works just fine for my basic needs but has android 5.

        • Yes, that's probably true. Limit background apps and no widgets, maybe OK.

I'm very surprised a mid range tablet (2019) only has 2gb of ram. The cost of an extra gb would be so negligible.

          • @ash2000: Agreed, If I was paying full price for this tablet ($379), I would expect al least 3-4GB ram.

    • do you know what time tomorrow?

  • When will the A70 phone be released?

  • does A70 phone comes with local warranty???

  • Can someone tell me if the Apple watch is US plug or AUS plug?

    • US plug

      • +1

bah… strange it didn't say on the ad

        • Yeah, it was all in the Model Number, which is in the Ad… but felt like it should've been displayed more clearly that this was a Non-Australian model. I probably would've passed on it if I had known.

          • @Mingles: yeah i reckon ay… how do i even sell this shit now hahaha

ebay plus return here I come

            • @Poor Ass: Yeh there's a bunch of them on gumtree. Doesn't look like there's a lot of interest either…

            • @Poor Ass: Advertise it on here in the classifieds, I have seen people willing to take them.

  • +1

Watch arrived and setup. Can confirm Apple warranty check is 12 months from today. How do I manage the extra warranty with the seller and what does it entail?

    • you gotta contact the seller for that 2nd year

  • Is there a specific time and coupon code for A70??

  • Can only find this eBay Plus listing of Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" with a selling price of $379:

oops, just realised Cisco123 already found it

    • do you know what time the sales is happening?

      • +1

        according to eBay, 10AM AEST

    • So only 2GB version.

    • it's saying last one for some reason. How odd.

  • Anyone know the promo code for the A70? Assuming its the same as last time

  • +2

If you're on the fence whether you want the Samsung 10.1 tab. It's been on sale recently (granted for Samsung EPP) at $244.30. Check the post here plenty of discussion on whether its worth it at that price point.

    • I, honestly, will just be using it for streaming services & watching files.

I've been using my Google Pixel C tablet for years but have given it to my mum because her iPad broke.

      • I'm still on a Nexus 10 :-D

    • On the gov portal it is $296.65 before the $50 discount.

      • I'm a student and can access some deals but the voucher expired on the 22nd

The Apple Watch is US version

Not sure if the A70 will be on sale today. says 8/6 on the website which was 3 weeks ago ???

    • Thats when it was first dropped.

  • Does the S Pen work with the Tab A 10" ?

    • Don't think so.

  • +1

Is samsung a70 on sale today or what ????
The person that's organizing these sales os bloody hopeless

    • It says 8/06 if you look at bottom, probably an error, could be 28/06?

      • Thats when it was first dropped.
