  • So you can use this to massage your gun muscle? Interesting!

  • Do you think that this would be a good gift idea for my girlfriend?

    • If you've given her a sore back?

      • +1

Or if she's into snakus oilus

  • +1

Meh. Buy them off eBay for between $50 to $80. The massage guns are all the same, made in china, and rebranded.

    • +2

They are not 'all' the same. You have your cheaper rebranded chinese ones, yes. Then you have premium build ones like hypervolt, xiaomi, etc.

      • Agree not all the same. But difficult to compare one with another in AliExpress. I got lucky bought an okay one but I wish I get more expensive model

      • Lol. You really think Hypervolt and those branded massage guns develop their own designs and manufacture their own? All they do is source their supplies from the Chinese manufacturers, slap their branding on it, and charge $500 versus $80.

Xiaomi probably manufacturers their own so there is at least some IP there.

        • i get it but still there are hundreds outthere. the ideal is to find a manufacturer that produce/supply hypervolt and sell exact same item without hypervolt branding for 1/8 of the original price

        • AFAIK Xiaomi only makes phones and tablets, everything else is just from other companies they've bought out.

  • +1

These are like $90aud off AliExpress, and I find it difficult to compare specs to branded models.

  • +1

I got one of these made by xiaomi and it's fantastic. Higher quality like the hypervolts.

    • Is that the cheapest one you can find on AliExpress? A bit steep. Did you buy that?

But compare with $139 on this post I would definitely buy xiaomi

      • I bought mine pre-release from a different seller but exactly the same. It's a good price considering hypervolt price of $550.

        • Same price? I see. Ok will browse AliExpress more later. Around $130 I'll get one for sure.

  • I bought a different one from Amazon and it turned out to be a scam. I got my money back eventually.
I'm still looking to buy one and lots of them for under $100.

    • +1

Beware don't buy too cheap you will regret. Something between 80to90$ are safer. Read reviews.

      • Yes, that is why I haven't got one yet.

        • I'm considering to get that Xiaomi. Guaranteed good no dissatisfaction feeling

  • I am going to give this a go

  • I originally got one similar to this (looks the same) and battery was DOA after first charge. Strangely enough it worked out of the box but the charge killed it. Then I sent it back and switched to xiaomi one.

    • I had this issue with one too. Claimed a refund from Amazon

  • External use only?

    Asking for a friend.

    • You need to change the head for other purposes 😀

  • Is it good for lower back aches?

  • Anyone know the difference between the following link and the renpho brand?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Professional-Handheld-Massager-Vib…

    • Ya this one is cheaper and has more reviews than renpho. Wondering about the quality.

    • No one will know. Literally there are hundreds of this similar looks gun in AliExpress. You can compare the spec but then there is guaranteed they will work according to those specs or sometimes they lie about it.

      • seems you are expert. mind to share which one or what kind to choose?

        • +1

I searched alot basically with gun massager keyword then changed to Phoenix gun keyword as I saw many of them and they looks good (review wise). Then search the cheaper listing, check the specs (some has smaller battery, rpm, etc). Also the review. Wasted lots of time.

And choose something between 70,80,90$ don't go less than 60 doesn't matter how good the photos are.
          Then wait for big cashback.

Now I already used it for months I wish I just buy that Xiaomi.

          • @CyberMurning: what is it exactly about the Phoenix gun you have that you feel is lacking and makes you want to upgrade? Curious as i'm pretty set on getting a cheaper option like this from Ali with good reviews.

            • +1

@yupyup: its battery is rated 1500mah, many are 2500mah
its actually good but i can gift it to someone so probably i am just looking for excuse to upgrade.

i mean previously i wasn't sure this thing is good so i only willing to spend $80-ish.
now i feel it works, i want to know if something cost double will be much better.
and well, you can see the xiaomi is so sleek and good looking (with xiaomi almost guarantee you will get good quality build just like the photos, others what you receive can be not as pretty as the photos)

              • @CyberMurning: thanks! your comment prompted me to look into mah/volt/stall force/amplitude details. looks like poor stall force/torque is something that afflicts cheaper models. still keen to go a cheap brand but i'll try and find one that has has enough power and isn't going to be weak.. xiaomi model looks great but more than i'm willing to spend at this stage

    • I have this and can confirm it works pretty well. We had some friends over and they all wanted to try it on their backs, legs, etc. It went non-stop for 2 hours without missing a beat. A few went to buy exact same model and haven't heard any reported issues. These things are so bloody awesome if you've sprung your shoulder/back, I had this occur once and nothing would stop the pulsing pain. Put this device in that area for 15mins and the pain dropped 80%, recovered next day. I find it much better and more handy than my massage chair, and that's saying something as that thing cost $2000!

Also notice the above deal includes orange cushion heads, I didn't get that but strongly recommend it as you can hurt your back quite easily due to the hammering action on these devices. It's basically like a fitness hammer drill with sledgerhammer mode turned on!

LOL! What orange cushion heads?! It doesn't show any.

        Copy pasted paid review. Haha!

Also, looks like this unit's price just went from $102 to $122.

  • Is the head piece easy to clean?

    • Very easy no need to clean it at all

      • +7

You really should clean it.. my gf borrowed mine and was left walking like a cow boy for a week from the deep heat left on mine

  • how's shipping like from overseas atm? Are the ETA's reliable?

    • Buy from Aliexpress

  • Thanks grabbed one! Been looking for one for a while, thought I may as well spend a bit extra.
