do you have a screenshot of the email, just out of curiosity
Here’s the text:
Hello,We’ve been in touch before to let you know that the number of returns you’ve made within the last year has been flagged as higher than usual.
We are incredibly proud of our returns policy, but it’s only sustainable if it’s used responsibly. Continuing an unusual returns pattern could lead to your account being deactivated – and we don’t want that to happen to you.
Just a reminder that you can use our great sizing and search tools, Fit Assistant and Style Match, to help you nail your next order.

Best wishes,
ASOS Customer Care
FYI I probably returned 3 things in 12 months.
@LittleTicket: I don't think that email they sent is threatening at all - it's quite level headed and explains their position quite clearly.
If I recall, they used to have a 10% return credit system before people started abusing this so it makes perfect sense why - everything they ship back and forth costs them money so it's only natural that they'd start imposing this system.
For anyone else reading I have returned at least 8 pieces of clothing in the last year and have never received this email.
@jikijiki: Horses for courses I guess. Being told I’ll be deactivated having used the service since 2009, and returning items on 3 occasions, is a bit of a threat. Eh. I voted with my wallet.

Maybe they take into account the total number of items ordered, or the total value?
If I bought 4 items and returned 3 in the past 12 months, that might raise some flags compared to if I bought 15 and returned 8. Just a guess!
@LittleTicket: Yeah I think that email is unacceptable, if they want to have a limit on the number of returns people make, just add it explicitly to their policy. If they don't, then where is the basis for deactivating your account
I find that their normal sale/discount codes apply to sale items, so this isn't anything that new.
Awesome picked up a pair of Volcom snowboard pants at a good discount. All the ski/snowboard stores jacked 99% of things up to full price since they announced snow season will go ahead.
they're still advertising it on their site, but it doesn't work :(
ASOS can get stuffed IMO. They sent me an threatening email about returning items and that I could be banned if I do so. Little odd that they’re an online only business and the only method to ensure a good fit is to receive it first to try. Hard pass.
