I saw a rerun of it at a cinema last year.
Watching it on a Vmax screen, it honestly felt like it could have been made yesterday and the subject matter has never been more relevant: living a make-believe reality that is getting increasingly difficult to tell apart from fantasy. "You've been living in a dream world Neo."
They're making number 4. Carrie-Ann Moss in leather doesn't look as appealing as she used to…

I can tell the difference between Matrix on Netflix and Matrix on iTunes immediately. I don't know if Netflix is compressing video further to cope with demand but iTunes version looks heaps better. iTunes is my go to for 4K dolby vision / hdr movies. I know ultimately nothing beats a physical 4k Blu Ray but I think iTunes looks awesome inspite of streaming. I am on a 50mbps NBN connection.
The vast majority of movies on Netflix aside from the Netflix originals arent available in 4k / HDR. Only in HD, Im not infront of my TV right now but I'd guess the Matrix is only streaming in HD.
Is there a 4K HDR version? Or is this as good as it gets?
