  • What if your bathroom, kitchen or laundry doesn't have a “honeycomb” design?

    • Nothing. It’s just the cover..

  • Went to store that was showing as in-stock online. Nothing left in the shelf..

  • powerpass price $34.65 for white :D

    • non ducted version though

  • Far out, I was looking at a timer and they're a gazillon dollars… https://www.bunnings.com.au/hpm-fan-switch-delay-remote-time…

    • Get a smart Wi-Fi plug.

      • Then you need to fiddle phone everytime you ave a shower.

        • nah. if you nearly always shower at a set time, say between 7 and 8 every day, just set it to run 7-8 everyday or whatever suits. Then you can tell google to tell it to turn on/off every time you have a shower outside those times… or fiddle a phone. But still would be much less than every time.

        • Who said anything about touching a phone? You can say "alex turn off shower fan"

    • Yeah I was quoted $400 additional to install a timer switch during my house build. I didnt go ahead because I thought sparky avin a laugh.

  • How can this be setup in the kitchen ? Not enough images. My cooktop is about a metre away from the windows - can I just stand this fan up against the window to let the "cooked air" out ? The owner hasn't/will not replace the rangehood which barely does anything.
Atm open windows only push air in - keeping all the "cooked air" inside.

    • same problem as mine. can only have slide out range hoods due to the design and they are useless.
can i use these fans by installing above the windows to circulate the air ?

  • Thanks OP, my bathroom exhaust fan died on the weekend and I picked up one of these.

Had a look at the shelf at Bunnings and the sticker price was already $39? Looked at all the other fans and they seemed to be a similar price. Picked up 2 white ones for $36.47 ea anyway but just wondering - aren't these just usual price?

They are different models. This specific one is ducted and completely different. It was $126 previously.

      • ah I see. The non-ducted one is more powerful @ 400m3/hour vs 330m3/hour for the ducted model though?

        • The duct would reduce flow rates.

  • At least 1x left at North Geelong

  • Two left at Reynella SA 16th June 8.30 AM

  • BTW, unless I'm reading it wrong, these aren't 250mm, they are 300mm.
The hole needs to be ~300mm, and I don't think it will fit where my existing ~210mm one is.

We found that out too today.. we installed our today and had to cut out more than the existing gyprock. https://imgur.com/a/PUw7v18

edit: but it's really quiet compared to the old one and it looks good. We just had to wire onto the cabling from the old one as it was wired into the mains. Really happy with this unit.

Picked up last 2 units from Collingwood, VIC about 2 weeks ago(was lucky to have found stock). I had the crappy 200mm Airflow ones installed by the builder's electrician (non ducted ones open in the roof cavity). I had to cut the holes wide open for these ones, made a lot of mess and was nervous at the start but with the correct measurements all around the circle, pilot holes drilled in gyprock and with some patience, got the perfect round cut. Since I had the powerpoint there already, plugging in was easy, just removed the old ones and plugged in these ones. These look great, I like the silver color and not going to paint it white. Installed 2 of them. The best thing is they are quiet yet powerful and they have built-in draft stopper so somewhat energy efficient for the house too. I also had a spare duct from a broken dryer I had which fit the duct on this unit perfectly(with some duct tape). Went to the roof cavity and routed the duct towards the end/eves tiles of the house(you can leave it out in the roof cavity too but since one of my frame joists was right next to the unit's duct, I had a chance of steam condensation up there). Thanks OP, $78 well spent on 2 of these. Sitting on the throne, looking up the finished product, filling so proud of myself :D
