Following the launch of their new AIA Health Insurance product, AIA are offering new members who join before 31st July 2020:

• 6 weeks free in year 1
• a further 2 weeks free in year 2 if AIA Vitality status of Silver or above is achieved

AIA Health insurance includes access to Vitality. Vitality is a health and well being program where points are earned for activity and health checks. Depending on the level of points earned you can receive shopping vouchers of up to $650 a year and up to 50% off movies, flights and gym memberships. Terms and Conditions of the AIA Health Insurance with Vitality Up to 8 weeks free* offer:

To be eligible you must:

• not have been insured under an AIA Health Insurance, myOwn health insurance or RACQ Health Insurance policy as at 31 May 2020 or in the two months prior
• purchase an eligible AIA Health Insurance policy (Gold Hospital and Combined Gold Hospital and Extras policies are excluded) between June 1st and July 31st 2020

Conditions of the offer:

• After you have held your policy for 2 months you will not be required to pay for the next 6 weeks
• After you have held your policy for 13 months and at least one adult insured under the policy has achieved AIA Vitality Status of Silver or above you will not be required to pay for the next 2 weeks
• Not available with any other AIA Health Insurance promotional offer
• Not applicable to policies inactive or suspended during the qualifying periods
• Not exchangeable for cash

  Good, but I note that to get 6 weeks free requires holding the policy for 60 days.

  Other funds require holding the policy for 30 days to get the 6 weeks free.

  For whatever reason, 6 weeks seems to be the magic number across health funds.

  you can also score a weekly $5 voucher through the AIA vitality app (once you're a member), can choose from Woolworths, apple, google play (and a few more) easily achieved if you can do at least 7.5k steps a day.

    If you get a quote for AIA Health Insurance for any level of cover then this should include Vitality. It is not that the Vitality membership is "free" rather that the cost of Vitality is already built into the price of the cover quoted. AIA prefer to state that their Health Insurance product includes access to the Vitality program.
